Location: Somewhere in the SE US, on the hot side of the house. 2x7 Closet. Set Up: Medium - Fox Farm Ocean Forest/Mother Earth Coco Perlite - 50/50 mix Container - 5 gal fabric Exhaust - 4" inline with carbon filter exhausted into attic Conditioning - small standup AC unit for 150sf, exhausted into attic. Small humidity units as well Strain: Tangerine Dream Nutes: Fox Farms Trio, Dirty Dozen, Kelp Me, Wholly Mackerel, CalMag, Fox Farms foliar Water: Aquarium pump to de-chlorinate distilled water then ph adjusted Germination: The first seed was a dud, so the second one was planted 1/4 " in the medium. Moistened soil, covered with clear plastic bowl that I had drilled holes in the top for ventilation. At the end of week one, she's a little over 2" tall with her single real leaves and first three finger leaves sprouted. She's just starting to push out her first real fan leaves. She's about four days behind her sister, the Gorilla Glue, and a little smaller and a slower grow. We'll see if she can catch up. First week, she was watered 1 cup of distilled water, ph at 6.4. She was only watered when dry, but she was given water three times this week. Next week, I'll increase to 2 cups. Water only, no nutes for now, until week four.

She made a lot of progress this week. From pushing out her first fan leaves, to getting to the 5th node before I topped her above the 3rd node. Not sure if I'll main line or manifold her yet. It depends on how she responds. I will tie her down tomorrow or the next day and remove all the foliage below the top. She's much shorter than her sister GG (gorilla glue), but she's more dense. The space between nodes and branches is much less than GG. On to week three!!!!

She's staying fairly short compared to her sister the Gorilla Glue. She seems to be handling the topping well. I tied down her second topping yesterday and will give her a third and final topping as soon as the node pushes out a bit more. She's up to 4 cups of water every few days when dry. That'll increase this week to 6 cups. She'll also get her first real feeding this week. On to week four!

Topper her for the third and final time this week. I watered her with 1 gallon water Cal Mag until runoff. The runoff was 6.2ph (low) and 1,000ppm, which is probably due to the FFOF soil mix. She'll get water about every six days or so or until dry. I am a little concerned with the low ph and will adjust on the higher end next watering to try and bring that up. I'm curious to see what the runoff ph is of the soil mix initially and will check on the next run. She responded well to the main lining and is compact and healthy so far. On to week five!!!!

She's definitely in pre-flower, but hasn't started sprouting pistils at bud sites. Has some issues with low ph in the runoff with higher than expected ppm. Worried that she was heading toward lockout, so I flushed her a couple times with higher ph water. Runoff was still low, but I did a slurry test and the ph of the soil is at 6.5. Her young leaf tips are twisting a bit, but there is no yellowing. She's 8" now and compact. Hopefully, she'll start stretching a bit. I have her on a box so her canopy is the same height as her sister the Gorilla Glue. On to week 6!

Watered her with CalMag and 7ph water trying to get her low ph up, but it's not really working. She's 16" tall now.

This is the week when the grow went from good to bad. Me not dealing with the low ph in the runoff became a big issue. Not only was my piece of crap Vivosun ph pen reading high, even after multiple calibrations, but the low ph was even worse that I thought. Flushed her with six gallons of 7ph water and was able to get the runoff above 6, but the damage is done. Had similar issues with her sister Gorilla Glue. Damaged yellowing leaves started and the bottom and moved up. Fed her a full course of nutes, and the ph and EC are within range, but the damage is done.

Even though there's damaged leaves everywhere, she's stretched quite a bit. I'm not very pleased with the cola spacing. I can't see them connecting, but we'll see. The yellowing has stopped for now, will closely monitor.

The low ph issues I had previously was compounded by the fact that I let her dry out due to some personal issues I was dealing with. Now she is about 2/3 yellowing leaves. So disappointed. Will ride this out to the end, even though I feel like pulling the plug. I didn't update the nute schedule above because I'm so pissed. Did give her 6.8ph water with nutes and her runoff was barely 6.1. EC was ok, but I'm wondering about root zone damage and uptake.

She's been getting water with CalMag only at this point. Even with water at 7ph, the runoff is barely over 6. Should have checked runoff before planting and supplemented with lime to raise the ph. The colas aren't going to connect at this point. The trichomes are clear and she smells very citrusy. The leaves are still very light green from the lockout issues, but it's stabilized. She a heavy drinker, every three days or so. I don't see harvest happening for at least four weeks.

She was watered with CalMag twice this week. 7.0ph in, 6.2 out. 215ppm in, 800 out. She has damaged leaves everywhere due to the ph nute lockout. Her colas do have some frosty trichomes though. In hindsight, when I realized the ph of the runoff was low, I should have mixed in some lime to stabilize the soil. I did this with another plant at week 5, who's runoff was below 6ph, and it immediately stabilized the ph. Next time.

Not much going on with this girl. She's slow finishing due to PH issues. Been top dressing her with lime in small doses to bring up PH. Watering her with 7.0ph RO water and CalMag. Runoff is still low...6.0 and ppm is still above 1,000. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, but no sign of amber and pistils aren't all orange yet. She smells very citrusy for sure. Will grow this strain again without ph issues.

She's getting closer to harvest, but not quite there. Cloudy trichomes, pistils are mostly orange...still at least a week away. Don't have high hopes given the issues but the buds seem semi dense. We'll see.

She was chopped on day 95 and has been drying for almost a week. I don't have high hopes on the quality of the bud. Her sister Gorilla Glue turned out ok. They both had the same magnesium deficiency and ph lockout. Changing my soil for the next run. Dr Bugbee method. I should have mixed some dolomite lime in with this soil to buffer the ph. I topped dressed it, once I realized the issue, but it was too late. Oh well, if bad, I'll use for tincture or edibles.

The PH issues certainly affected both yield and bud density. I ended up with about 2oz of medium dense bud, another 1.5 oz of smokeable larfy bud, and almost 3oz of non smokeable larf that I'll use for edibles. Very potent high. Relaxing and a little psychedelic. Very nice. I'll definitely grow this strain again, but without the issues.
