Chocolope NUG

I wasn't planning to do a diary for this one as it was supposed a free run and outdoor flowering one (never done any outdoor grow before). This Chocolope has been heat stressed from the very beginning and the first leaves have been through a lot unfortunately. I started the mainlining training on her but she was a slow grow the entire time and to not help her i damaged one of the two fan leaf that was supposed to stay for the first part of the training. This is end of week 5, the new leaves are better but not big. I am waiting for her to be stronger to continue the rest of the training (second topping etc..) I don't know if I should keep going with the process or just stop it here

Last update was with a little bit of frustration as she was really slow but this week with changing the light schedule to 20/4 she started to show me that she's worth it so I gave her RapidStart from General Hydroponics and in less than 2 days she looked way happier. I am now jumping on that opportunity to continue the training so I topped her the 2nd node just because i don't know yet if I'm going to do the Nebula from Growweedeasy way of mainline or the nugbucket way. I think i will do a little bit of both and improvise from there. So right now there are 8 tips, and I will be waiting for the tips to get bigger and longer before taking the fan leaves down i think this might happen in 3 to 4 days base on how fast Rapidstart has been helping her. I kept the cuttings to make clones but I'm not going to put effort in that because i won't room for 5 plants (i have another plant see diary Choco mainline Nebula, and a clone already)

Nice growing this week thanks to RapidStart and the kelp. She seems really happy now. I figured out one thing, as i am doing the mainlining with the third node on the manifolds i notice that on each 4 stems the nodes aren't on the same level/height i hope it won't impact the growth. I let her grew after the topping and today I transplanted her in a 3 gallon smartpot than i did some LST each stem and now i am expecting all the 8 tips to grow then i would top her for a last time. The temperatures hve been high again beginning of the week but with liquid kelp mixed with aloe vera I foliar sprayed them to be ready and she seems stro ger than never. First full week in the flowering stage, I tighted down couple of stems to make sure each one of the colas at the end up the same height and same weight/fatness. I did feed her, for couple of days, with a "transition period" nutrient schedule to trigger/activate the flowering process. I also brought the light a bit closer down a day ago to increase the light penetration and trying to take advantage the most of schwazzing technic. I am alternating between organic and synthetic nutrients she seems to enjoy it and her sister too. The strech was expected but i did see couple of blog where they wrote that coconut water has an interesting amount of cytokines that can be beneficial for the internodal flowering stretch. It helps to reduce the distance between the internodes. Happy growing 👨‍🌾🏿🖖🏿

Second week of flowering, I'm loving my tent and my outflow and recycled air, let me explain. As my tent is in a bull-in closet the temperature can be super high for the season and drop pretty low at night time as well, which is really great because the variation is constantly the same with 29° light times(12hrs) and 24° dark times(12hrs). The plant is pretty well settled in now. The previous week I was wondering if I should do something with the bonemeal I digged 6 holes a inch each then I spreaded 1/3 cup of bonemeal in the holes and on top of the soil. I raked the soil together with the bonemeal. I slowly watered the plant. She smell really great not too strong though but definitely noticeable. The stretch seem to slow down and the top of the colas are growing small leaves stacked closed on top of each other. The nodes are odd I hope this will lead to massive long buds lol. During the week I overfed her the leaves were thick droopy so I increase the in between water and also with a smaller amount (1/2 litter) she got back on shape pretty quick. I will probably do the last part of the Schwazzing in maybe 8 days. The 8 colas are clearly there which is nice to see. I tired to bring down one the taller stem and i broke the manifold 😤😤, i tapped that part I'll keep a close eye on it though. Happy growing 🌾👨‍🌾🏿🖖🏿

Third week of flowering. I did the second andlast schwazzing I was quite scared but after watching a couple of videos and more readings on the topic i went for for. I felt like she's able to handle it more than her sister. 3 days later she looks nice and her buds seem to be well exposed to the light the flowers are blooming and newleaves are growing over. They look like broccoli lol. I increase the amount of water from 0.75L to 1.25L. She has a strong fruitty smell compare to her sister... usually this strain has a more coffee type of smell, let's how things will go. Happy growing 👨‍🌾🏿🌿🌻
