Do U have to reduce light hours on autoflower strains to induce flowering as with standard strains or will they flower regardless of light hours

They will flower regardless, you can even crank up the light hours, but its recomended you just choose a schedule and stick with it from seed to harvest, i personally go with 18/6 for the whole grow, gives the lights some rest and the plants too, both appreciate it deeply. But some strains will do best in 16/8 and some in 24/0 so pick whatever your plant enjoys the most, if she has the leaves down even before lights out, its because the plant wants less hours of light (if this is something that keeps happing daily). Best of luck in ur grow, and pls pick my answer, its for a contest of grow questions, will help me deeply. Thanks

If I have an auto and a photo in the same tent and I've been running 24/7 light how long would I have to reduce the light to induce flowering without being detrimental to my auto

You would need to set the light schedule to 12/12. It will not be detrimental to the auto, it will just take longer to finish

Heya! You would have to switch lights to 12/12 to trigger flowering on the photo. I’ve done this before, autos with photos at 12/12. It will reduce the yield a little on the autoflower but is the only way around it. Cheers !

Autos flourish under 18 hours of light, but 12 hours won't change too much for it. Just treat it like a photo but realize that it could start flowering before or after you flip for your photo. The light schedule doesn't affect its bloom schedule (much).

Basically yeah, take the timrs from the breeder with a pinch or salt, always add up to 50% more just in case, and i would switch that schedule from 24/0 to at least a 22/2 or 20/4, just because it is so rare for a breeder to keep their plants in 24/0 that chances are that your strain is geneticaly adapted to any other light schedule, and i bet she would benefit from it and even be having pistils for quite a while if you did that. You can always ask the breeder aswell, hit them up and ask sich schedule was this strain breed in, and after they tell you, you just use theirs, and it will help it being in more familiar conditions wich ultimately will help you get faster into the harvest and help you plants grow bigger, as a plant with genetics that have been 16/8 for a couple generations, if you put it in 24/0 they will do awefully, same goes the other way, reverse change and they will be weaker overall because they didn't have the sleep their past generations always had. I know its a part of plant evolution this complete changes from 1 gen to the other but i don't think anyone is rly continuing the genetics of these strains after harvesting, so just stick to ur breeder's schedule. Hope it helps and if you don't mind chosing answer it helps a lot in grower of the month competition. Thanks and good luck growmie.

Hi dont believe what breeder tell. They tell you a time base on verry perfect condition which is really hard to get. For example my quick one was advertised as a 8 weeks from germination to harvest.... In reality it Ill be more like 11 - 12 weeks. If they are late... Dont rush give them time and it will happen. Happy growing

No, they can enter flowering even with a light schedule of 24/0 (I'm using it right now with a few autos). Usually flower stage will begin during the 4th week, actually your plant seems to be in the preflower / stretch phase.
