I really love the smoke that this flower makes. At first I was disappointed because the smell is not really citrusy and neither is the flavor. Think orange creamsicle. The appearance must also play a role in where it gets its name because it is orange and white all over.

To Dok Holland, I am not sure why you are hating on fastbuds. A lot of people like them. If you want to imagine the complete version of my grow, insert generic pic of seedling for weeks 1-2.. insert generic early veg flower for week 3. Insert early stage flower for week 4.

I'm not sure why you're using the "questions" to write these random comments. And fastbuds advertize 60- 70 days from germination to harvest, so you definitely skipped a few weeks. I mean.. 6 weeks is 42 days, so you basically saying you did it in 2/3s of the time, which is weird to me, when most other diaries I read, go over the time advertized for the strains, often by 2 - 3 weeks. <.< And really.. Why make a diary, if you don't actually want to make one? To toot your own horn? To pretend to be the "boss"?

I have no reason to lie here. I planted the orange sherbert one week after planting a seedsman gelat.og autoflower in the same soil same pot same everything and this one just took off. The gelat.og from seedsman is just starting to bud...

you harvested way to early... That's it period.. The fastest autoflower finish in 9-10-11 weeks and that's Hydro/Coco. Like 6-7 weeks is not right at all.. I don't know what to tell you other then you made a mistake. I don't wanna fight with you.. But I do want you to be correct and your not.. You either a) messed it up bad enough that your plant was stunted and short and finished early because you neglected her or you harvested a healthy strong growing plant that had 4-5 weeks to grow and yup.

What are the downsides to harvesting too early? My trichomes were turning amber at week 7 so I harvested. Buds seem great, but without a proper dry and cure it is hard to say. I have sampled the bud which is almost fully dry and I like it already.. But what are the potential cons

Yield, taste, and potency. Harvesting time also has a lot to do with the kind of effect you get. The one hit knockout stuff is 50-70% amber trichomes. The "I'm gonna clean the whole house" effect comes in between 10-20%. I don't believe curing with change your potency, but it will make it taste better.

If your new to growing well done on the harvest, yes u prob have harvested 3 or 4 week early but its all a learning curve. I have made the mistake of a early harvests when I 1st started. The way I do it is ignore the sugar leaves and try and get a good view of the trichomes on the buds. But you got a harvest and enjoy it so winner. 👍

@GrowBoss, I don't have room for side lighting, small tent with bugger all room in it. One best thing with home grown is u dont need get ripped off by dealers anymore. Really don't think iv grown a bad fastbuds except if I fucked it up.

@hashy, Dude, I am so high after smoking some this morning. The high is amazing. Like you, I am hooked. Glad to see I am not the only one here who loves fastbuds. I really think you can make it finish in 8 weeks if you blast it with enough light. I had light on the side blasting mine from like 6 inches away because the lights were a little high since they shared a tent with photos.

@hashy, I just ordered a ten pack of strawberry pie from fastbuds. I have wedding cheesecake and orange sherbert in reserve already. Like I said, I never want to go without some of this stuff again. I am in awe. This is life changing stuff. Thank you @Fast_Buds !!!

Hey man, looks good! Nice and frosty, dark pistils.... Don't take other comments too harshly, it's just people trying to give advice. It does seem early, but at the end of the day, if you're enjoying it, that's the key thing. That being said, there may be some validity in what people are saying. I had amber trichs at around 7 weeks, but it was only on the sugar leaves. I basically just ignored the sugar leaves completely and was only reading trichs around the calyx, which matured a lot slower (about 3-4 weeks slower). It's hard to tell without some macro pics - a usb microscope, or in my case just a loupe held in front of my phone does the trick - but purely based on these pics, it doesn't seem like it could have been that far off anyway. As someone has already said, you may have sacrificed a little yield and potency by harvesting early, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Advertised harvest times are not gospel. In most cases, it seems like plants usually go on beyond the time. In some cases, given the right training and environmental conditions they go WAY over. But it's not unreasonable to imagine cases where the plant is ready before the stated time. Stress, genetics or environmental conditions could potentially force it into flower early in a survival attempt, but honestly, it would just be guess work. But hey - you've got yourself a nice stash of low cost weed! And don't take other's comments to heart, or let them dissuade you in any way. They're honestly just trying to help. Just roll up a J of the lovely bud YOU'VE grown, pop some more seeds, kick back and chill! Looking forward to your next diary!

@GWSD82, Thanks man ! A lot of good advice here. I didn't realize that the sugar leaves turning amber was not the same as the rest of the bud , but in hindsight I should have figured that out sooner. I think it was wishful thinking on my part to think it was ready. I am not always good at waiting for things. I have some photoperiods that are deep in flower - I planted them may 14th and they are still budding beautifully. I have lots of pictures of them at all stages but they are unknown strains so I didn't run a diary.. I have some Strawberry Lemonade and Sweet Zombie I just germinated. I will try to do a good diary for those, hopefully. Later down the road I will be growing some stuff from Humboldt as I capitalized on the 5+5 deal from seedsman. Thanks for your encouraging words, happy growing!

@Lowkey_Doc, Thanks Doc! I harvested it on sunday and am already sampling the smoke. It is really incredible that this grew from seed to harvest in just 7* weeks and produced some of the best smoke i've ever tried. I am growing 3 more and have many more seeds in reserve.

It's your Grow. Harvesting early can still produce nice harvest if you are into those type of effects. The terpene production would have continued and enhanced the flavor of the final product. I have some of these beans from FastBuds, looking foward to growing them outdoor this summer.

Okay so I was reading some stuff from fastbuds and they said this strain is super fast growing and can take as little as 8 weeks from seed to harvest. At seven weeks I really don't think I cut it too short and looking at some other diaries I have seen people running 100 watts not achieve this level of bud development at 11 weeks. The smoke is stellar. The smell amazing. I need to stack up on more of these genetics. I attribute the success to my feit grow lights. 2 flowering and 1 veg. plus a black magic that i can point at areas that don't get much light.

One mistake I made here, I let the main cola chill in a jar with the rest of the nugs today and the one cola is smelling a little moldy. The jar had no smell all day so I didn't think to take any nugs out and smell them individually. I should have left the jar open today. Oh well, only the main cola has a hint of moldy smell. I have smelled way worse from the dispensary and I will smoke it anyway. There is no visible mold.
