My friend decided to make a grow at my cottage house, and I thought, why not make a common project? at least for the first 3-4 weeks of vegging.
Instead of buying a new tent, I decided to resurrect my old tent. I built a new bearing structure for it, as I'm already using the original one in my big tent and I want to keep it like that.
It was a nice building project, it's great to be able to fine-tune the details of the tent structure.
I took the chance and decided to reuse the CocoMix from my previous grow; I mixed 50%Soil(BioBizz LightMix) and 50%CocoMix(70%Coco, 30%Perlite).
I'm also using the RQS Easy Boost nuts for the first time, together with BigSciencePlant RootsExplosion(pro bacteria and Mycorrhiza).
I chose these in the hope of having an, as low maintenance as possible grow. I'm really curious how it will go!
I will set up the irrigation system I have with plain tap water and probably a bit of BioBizz Alga-Mix to lower the ph to ca. 6.5.
@Green_Dream,
its always good to reuse as much sub as possible keep the environmental impact to a minimum.
sounds like a really good system, genuinely cant wait to see the results.
@Hemporio_Afghani,
Yes, if the harvested girls have been healthy I will reuse the soil. Otherwise, there's a lot of soil to be thrown out and I don't like that.
I will be starting the new ones in 2-3l pots with new soil though, cuz that's more stable and they can be there for the first 3 weeks more or less.
Then I transplant them in "used" soil mixed with the Easy Boost nuts.
Fantastic!
every single week, just more and more amazed with this girl and those RQS nutrients.
its easily healthier than the one over hear on the BioBizz and she is pretty happy as it goes.
keep it up!
@Hemporio_Afghani,
About the watering; yes, I time it, so I know that if I run it for 6 min they get 400ml water. Atm they get 10min. Feeding frequency depends on your substrate. If I grow in coco I water 6 times a day(24h), in soil every 3-4 days depending on the pot and plant size.
looking supper good im more exited to see yours finish ๐
the one over hear is a little less enthusiastic but she recovered from whatever it was ..
watching this grow was the nail in the coffin for a few old habits
no more bottle supplement is the way to go same with the manual watering (the future is robots)
the new space looks great really tidy is it just a rebuild or did they move ?
@Green_Dream,
full room conversion is always better the extraction is sometimes harder to fix
but with space limitations or awkward dimensions its the way to go ..
its mostly the need to mix for each plant that kills with bottle feeding
if you have 6-9 plants all needing different mixes it can take allot of time and energy
@Hemporio_Afghani,
The space is a little room where I used to have my tent in the past and now I decided it would be most space wise to turn the whole room into a grow room.
When it comes to soil I would say the best way to go(if time allows) is with organic bottled nuts. and hand watering, cuz this offers the most control over your Grow.
