Auto Blue Dream (First Grow)

The first grow, the first week. From 10 seeds germinated only 2. Planted them on 19.08.20, 20.08.20 seedlings appeared. The second germination try: from 4 seeds only 2 germinated, 24.08.20 planted, seedlings appeared on the next day. Today is 26.08.20, everything is ok so far. For now, using only 80W of light. I've named the plants based on their initial development - α, β, γ, and δ.

Started adding nutrients, lowered the lights closer to the plants. Increased wattage of the light to 160W.

This week I've started doing some soft LST. Plants seem to be ok with it. Increased the dosage of CAL MAG, micro, and gro. Feeding 1L per pot, then waiting for the top of the medium to dry out before the next feed. Using 160W - 8x20W. Moved the light slightly higher because plants aren't growing taller.

I've topped α and β this week. Left the other 2 plants as they are. Will compare yields afterward. Had 240W for the 6 days of the week, I see some problems with plants that look like light burn so I've lowered to 200W now. The last feed was just pH balanced water with calmag because plants show signs of nutrient burn.

Watered only one time this week with just 1L per plant. Doing more serious LST. Also defoliated all bottom leaves that showed signs of deficiency. Slowly lowered the lights over the week to be 35cm above the canopy at the end of the week. Using 240W now.

Defoliated and lollipoped plants at the beginning of the week. Doing hardcore LST and defoliation every day. All plants are flowering (γ is kinda slow tho). δ and α are booming in size. Defoliation slowed the growth, maybe I should have been more conservative with it at the beginning.

My second ph meter broke on the first day of the week right at the moment after I added all nutrients to the water and had to ph balance before the feeding. Now I have a new one that measures EC and PPM as well. This week humidity is really high because of the weather outside. I've replaced 10W bulbs with 20W bulbs so the overall power of the light now - 320W. Kept lights at 32cm but noticed light burns after couple days, now keep them at 36-39 cm. Defoliated plants in the middle of the week it seems to slow down the growth, but they should be fine.

Plants show high phosphorous deficiency this week. Humidity still high but seems to get lower to the end of the week. Heavily defoliated on the 6th day. Pruned some small branches at the bottom, they would never develop into anything. Installed 2 more fans: one on the left backside of the box above the canopy and one in the root zone to allow more airflow. β and γ boomed in size, maybe because they were below the intake fan that pushes fresh air to the box. δ seems to be way ahead in development, buds already forming it's getting closer to the finale, but δ is much smaller than other plants, probably because of the genetically shorter flowering period. Also, δ medium is drying much slower for some reason, maybe not enough airflow.

Watered with nutrients at the beginning of the week. Since then flushing with ph balanced water and noticed that runoff is 5.3-5.5 PH. I wasn't watering with the runoff for the whole period of the growth which led to the bottom of the medium filled with salts. Now I'm flushing with 6-6.3 PH every other day and aiming for 5.5-5.7 ph of the runoff. I was scared that the tips of the flowers are burned because the lights are too close, but now I see that flowers just have like dark purple colored tips. Also, leaves around flowers begin to become dark purple. γ - becomes really big, probably gonna have the highest yields. Lower buds not getting enough light, I wasn't sure to prune or not to prune at the begging of the flowering because of my lack of experience, and now I don't want to prune cause I don't want plants to get stunned. Next grow I will prune all of the lower branches.

Pruned all the lower branches on all plants, they are so small and not getting any light. Watering with runoff from flushing, ppm of runoff is pretty high - 750. PH of the runoff is still low, like 5.2. Leaves look yellow and pigmented maybe it's light stress. δ is almost ready for harvest - 60-70% of trichomes are milky. Other plants are behind but α is closest with 40%.

Moved lights to max distance ~65 cm. Turned off half of the light bulbs, now the power is 200W. All plants seem to be stressed out by light - 320W and 35cm distance turned out to be really bad, even after I've moved lights further (45cm) it didn't help. β is burned the most, leaves turned brown and crackled when I touched them - completely dead, even lower flowers that were about 60cm away got burned.

Checking trichomes every other day. δ is ready for harvest, α is almost ready. Kept light at 180W this week, only γ fan leaves looks burned from it, but not flowers.

Harvested δ at beginning of the week. Harvested α at D88. β have a really strong smell and sticky buds. Will wait for more amber trichomes I want more CDB body effect from this one. γ is losing leaves, buds seem to be ok.

Final week nothing happening.

δ harvested first: 20g. The weakest of all plants. Also has no negative effects, has the weakest smell. α harvested second: 22g. Pretty strong high and smell. Feel paranoia sometimes. γ harvested third: 25g. The strongest smell of tropical fruits like bananas and citrus. Buds are sticky and oily. The absolute killer got me really high. β harvested last: 25g. Strong smell, has bacon or something alike in it. Stronger than α but weaker than γ in power. 92g overall pretty good for 60$ custom lights. I wonder what it would be with something like Mars Hydro 1000. Topping showed no difference in the end. Topped leading by 2g only.
