*got clones NOV 16 2017* they arrived on a -10 degrees celsius day with tons of snow lol, using local nutrients, started with four plants three in dwc and one in dirt because it was my first cannabis grow and i was nervous about dwc, Here is the nutrients i used: https://imgur.com/a/9Nouj
big fuck ups, i left the res empty for like 2-4 mins when changing the solution and she was super sad, thought I had killed her! Do not leave res empty for any amount of time. also sorry for the yellow photos i figure out how to correct it in the later photos. going to take a break and upload the rest later today.
started to use the exhaust fan during the night to control humidity for it was 60% at night. bright it down to 35. had ph pretty low on the hydro plant around 5.5 and was noticing her unhappy so i tried to bring it up.
jan 29 temp got super low down to 17 celsius that night.
jan 28 replaced dwc water with heavily phed up and down solution.
at this time i got the ppm meter and pg meter in the mail, i had been topping with nute water casuing high ppm so when i found this out i would just top with regular ph'ed water for the week and replace the solution every week. yes i went this whole time without a ppm and just topping with nute water, probably what caused my claw/nute burn
jan 3 dirt plant got real thirsty went an extra day without water (4 days)
feb 7 did the same thing waited four days and was thirsty as fuck so from now on i gave her water every 3 days.
This was my first grow :) Sorry i never recorded much information for the diary. The Bud turned out amazing, smells so fruity with a string hint of citrus. I have sent in a sample to a lab to get tested for potency. I'm guessing it's high 20's because sitting next to the medreleafe's same strain at 22% mine looks superior (see photos). will post potency results as soon as they are in.
i concur with your diagnosis -- ph fluctuation
if it continues and spreads watch the pattern sometimes light burn starts between the ribs of the leaf like that as yellow and spreads
especially if it gets suspiciously even patterning -- ph spots are usually irregular spots
@DojoGeejer, never used it for that purpose but i am a big fan of potassium silicate in coir, makes much stronger plants
it will definitely make the roots of any of your plants less susceptible to shock from any source so it should work to help against ph shock i suppose?
