Day 95 - 43F - PH was 4.7 in the morning. This is less than 24hrs after res change and subculture B added.
Day 96 - 44F - PH was 5.3 at 9am, adj to 6. PH was 5.6 at noon, adj to 6.
Day 97 - 45F - PH was 5.5 at 9am, adj to 6. PH was 5.9 at noon. PH was 5.8 at 8pm.
Day 98 - 46F - PH was 5.8 in the morning, Seems like it's back to normal again.
@thephalanx420, my roots grow over the air stones , I think if the stones get blocked you get issues , I use the big disc air stones now , flat and round , they sit at the bottom better and give a more uniform bubble spread 👍
@BigDaddyK, Agreed! This being my first run, I plan on doing the same.. took some clones a couple months ago, which i'm vegging in the bottom section of my cabinet until the mother is done on top, then i'll take more clones from the clones (hah), move them to flower chamber, and do 2 at a time as well every 8-10 weeks. I won't even come close to 400g, but hopefully once I get everything tuned in, I'm hoping to pull around 300g (~1g/W).
What's strange is that my PH has been absolutely great until a week ago. It's always consistently 5.8, and almost never needs adjusting. I change my Res every week, and have never had a problem, which is why I'm thinking the issues were being caused by lack of oxygen (roots recently took over the air stones).
@thephalanx420, personally I think it's the variety some just don't go as well in Dwc as others in soil it's weird - I stick to fast buds for auto s but I may try some Mephisto genetics as they look promising- I grow 2 plants at a time I have no issues with humidity up to 400g a crop every 8-10 weeks - I never have to go to a dispensary 👍 And personally I like to know what went into my weed 😏
@Geefck, the smell isn't strong yet at all - i get a bit of sweetness/citrus when I'm up close, and almost no skunk smell at all.
From what I've read about this strain, smell should continue to stay fairly low-key until later in flower.
Bro, @28C you will get pile of troubles later in the flowering. Res temps can't be below 15C and over 21C ever, because over that temps O2 does not dissolve in water well anymore and roots of plant are starting to suffocate there, causing lots of root troubles. Anaerobic bacteria and fungi are thriving in that conditions.
Buy water chiller, you will not regret that. Any will do, just make sure that it has enough power to do it's job (by size of your tanks).
You can also make DIY one, of Peltier elements. Just google that, you will find plenty of info about that.
Good luck!
@kunkgrow, I believe so. It was likely just stress caused by changing the reservoir to a 38L, and adding more nutrients, and sudden light/temp changes.
After i trimmed off those ugly leaves, the rest have been growing well and don't seem to be having any more problems.
Bro, doesn't bottom lights warm tea in top tank?
Just i see no chillers, etc, that's why i say. Just be sure that tea temps are below 20, that's very important.
Sorry if i am telling you what you already know, man.
Good luck!
@HolyTHC, res temp is about 2 degrees cooler than the air temperature. I don't have a chiller - how critical is it to keep temps that low? I mean, i get that it's ideal to have them lower, but what's the impact of having a res around 28C?
I could always throw some ice cubes in there a couple times a day, and change the light cycle to 18/6 instead of 24/0.
Next time I mainline, I'm gonna wait until i have 3 nodes on each side after the first topping. seems too tight to me, but hoping it spreads out with training over the next few weeks.
