Week 2 of flower starting off strong with great growth day to day. Proceeded with a defoliation again to let air move around, light to get through and allow room for new growth. This wil likely be the last defoliation until closer to flower in order to not stress the plant. The same goes for training. Lots of preflower pistils showing, looks like the flip to flower has taken fairly well. All new growth is looking good as well
Update Wednesday: reservoir empty and needed to be changed. Scrubbed it with scotchbrite pad and vinegar, cleaned the feed line filter and circulator fountain pump filter in the reservoir. The filters I clean every change, however this is the first scrub since the grow began. Usually I simply rinse it very well with very hot water. Anyways, nice to see lots of pre flowers appearing, lowered the light a tad to make sure the plants aren’t stretching and just to make sure I have some room to raise it as they stretch into flower. Nutrients stayed the same as the last feed. Average ph is 6 but on a fresh tank I take it down to 5.8 and let it raise to above 6.3 before bringing back to 6 and keeping it there so the plants have access to the full range of nutrients.
What could cause the yellow edges on the growth of new leaves that’s affecting only 1 plant. Soil of this plant also seems to be more moist than the others but all are bottom fed via autopots.
Your ec needs to be at 1.4 to 1.6 your ph needs to be 6.0 to 6.5, 6.3 best for flower. Check your runoff ph and ec levels and get them in the proper levels and things will get better. Old damaged leaves will not improve. Cheers
