Here we go, folks - a single strain clone diary by FastBuds. A regular clone of FFT1, the first of the FastBuds photoperiod testers. I grew FFT1 on Grow Diaries and it was great, like fruit punch. I have another FFT1 from seed on the go (not on GrowDiaries) and just past halfway through flower. It is lovely! This rooted, so why not? I had forgot I took more clones of the fast flowering plants, so pleasant surprise.
FFT1 is mostly sativa and is reported to flower in 50 days. This is day 29 of vegetation.
My tent is hung mylar in an unfinished basement. My two lights are 300 actual watt full spectrum LEDs respectively.
I transplanted into a mixture of HP Pro Mix with a small amount of perlite and worm castings added in, and 4-4-4 Gaia Green All Purpose, and Myke Flower mycorrhizae.
Day 36 for the FFT1 clone. Great growth this week, and as it clears funky clone growth, you can see the normal leaf structure. Just giving water at the moment. I preventively treated for pests spraying with potassium based insecticide soap and neem oil. Things look good so far.
Day 43 for the FFT1 clone. Great spurts of growth. This strain always seems vigorous and willing to grow. I had sort of a forced transplant this week, earlier than needed, but no worries. I had a friend who deserved some clones, but I had to be assured of certain strains for myself, and was out of certain sized containers. This freed one up. I transplanted into HP Pro Mix with some added perlite and worm castings, 4-4-4 Gaia Green All Purpose and Myke Flower mycorrhizae. Expect some LST this week. I got my heat pump finally and though its not really needed to air condition at the moment I have the centralized fan circulating the total volume of air.
Day 50 for this FFT1 clone from Fastbuds, a fast flowering tester. I’ll be honest I was super lazy and didn’t do any training all week. Just before updates I felt guilty and so did LST. Apologies for the photos as the plant are all over the place. Not aesthetically pleasing.
My inlaws are computer programmers, non-stoners, but gifted me some basic sensing technology for fun using basic, cheap tech including Raspberry Pi. I have the ability to play with sensing particles of particular sizes or temperature and humidity which I have included graphs of. I can also upgrade to CO and CO2 if I wish as my friend is handy too. Displaying both yesterday and part of today, you can see where I irrigated last night. Are you surprised by how high-tech. this is for this monkey? 🐒
Day 57 for this FFT1 clone. Just growing, getting bigger, bushier. It has adjusted to training and is establishing a canopy. It has to jockey for position between two taller plants. I’m including temperature and humidity data for yesterday and part of today.
Day N64 for the first of the FastBuds fast flowering photoperiod lineup, FFT1; this being a clone. Nice and bushy, getting taller. I am liberally topping to limit growth and the distance from the lights. I transplanted this week into HP Pro Mix, a small amount of extra worm castings and perlite, 4-4-4 Gaia Green All Purpose, and Myke Flower mycorrhizae. About two to three weeks away from flower time.
Day 71 for the FFT1 clone. Adjusted to the new container and looking good. I am topping and shaping the canopy. Flower comes in one week so there is not much more to say or do. No top up needed at this time. Ready to go. I’m ahead of the game and prevent treated for pests with Safer’s potassium based soap and neem oil. I don’t have digital readings as my server seems to be down with my data, but manual readings show a large contrast above and below canopy. I am entering below canopy but at light level the tent is 25-28 degrees Celsius. The canopy is too thick! Jumanji!
Day 77 for this FFT1 clone. I have another younger FFT1 clone on the go so this would be the elder of the two. Time for both to get flowered. I woke early to do another round of pest prevention by spraying Safer’s potassium based soap and neem oil. Now its time for the HPS tent. Experiencing the first darkness since being cloned. Next week is the first flower update. Was in need of a watering as soon as photos were done.
Day 84 for the FFT1 clone. One week of flowering complete and about six weeks of flowering to go. This one will be fairly rapid compared to the rest. I topped up nitrogen in the bunch as I often fade things too quickly. I applied dilute 24-8-16 All Purpose Miracle Grow plant food with blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). My flowering tent is slightly bigger measuring as 4 feet by 6 feet and this gives me a bit more room to maneuver. It is hung mylar in an unfinished basement with some output and furnace/AC input. My light is a 600 watt Vivosun HPS. Respect to BudXs and Hellishjam for helping me get on the path. Excited as FFT1 is one of the best FastBuds testers and I’m about to finish my remaining dried stock of it.
