First Grow. Planted the seeds directly in soil. Took about 3 days for them to sprout. 10/10, which made me very happy. Started with the growing light way too far away from the seedlings, which resulted in 5 of them (mainly the MPK autos) to stretch. Started to have issues with grow room temperatures: 30 degrees celsius when tent is open, 35 when it's closes, which is way too high. Bought a small A/C unit to help cool down the air, I'll see in the coming days if it's effective. P.S. I didn't take any pictures during the first week..

End of second week. Quite a few things happened: - The small A/C unit I added to the tent didn't have any impact on the temperature and as the week went by, temperatures outside kept rising as did the temperatures in the tent. It reached 36-37 degrees on the worst day. It has now dropped to around 32-33 degrees when the tent is open but it is still too hot. I added some silica solution to my water to help strengthen the structure of the plants, but I know this won't be a long term solution. I uploaded a few pictures where you can see one plant that has almost all her leaves that are strongly cupping upwards. On another picture there are some heat burn marks on some leaves. I guess I have made my peace with the fact that this 1st run will not be optimal due to this temperature problem. BUT surprisingly only 3 plants seem to be impacted by this problem. The others are healthy and growing rapidly! - During my first week, I had to place some tutors to help the seedlings stand straight because of my stretching problem (see comment week 1). You can see on one of the pics that one plant is very small and crippled. Well, that is because I'm not very smart sometimes. I used some regular rope to attach the plant to the tutor and didn't check on the stem of this plant for a few days. What had to happen happened and as the stem kept thickening, the rope started chocking the stem. I don't think that this plant will recover, but at least I learned a valuable lesson for my next grows. - I'm still not sure when to start LST. I think I'll wait another few days and then I'll start training my babies. That's all for this week!

Hi everyone! The little ones have reached the end of week 3 and they are healthy and dashing. I think that the 5 MPKs are entering the pre-flowering stage (not really sure since it's my first grow). Some pistils are showing at the top. The 4 2Gums are still in full vegetative state (yes 4, not 5, I killed one because of my rope incident --> see week 2). I finally decided to leave the plants alone and not do any LST for this time, I'll try it with my next grow. I'm pretty happy because temperatures in my area started to drop and it doesn't get that hot anymore (not over 30 degrees in the tent at least), so my little heat-crippled plant is starting to recover :) However, I'm not really sure if 2 of my MPKs haven't stretched out too much (see picture above). They are almost twice the size of the other plants, which creates some problems with the height of my growing light... And the other plants are way bushier than these 2. But they still look quite healthy. Last thing I noticed is that a lot of leaves have their tips that are turning yellow/brown. Since I'm only feeding them some silica for now I don't really think it is due to nutrient burn. Maybe it's because of the heat ? I don't know. Anyway, I'm really happy with how it's working out for now 😀 See ya next week ✊

Week 4 is finished and all 5 MPKs and 4 2Gums have gone into flowering. Two of the MPK's are really bigger than the rest of the lot, I wonder if it is because they're mainly sativas. I am not really sure if they are suffering from light stress because after about 12-13 hours of light the usually start to droop. But everything's fine after they had their 6 hours of rest. They're all looking quite happy and they start to develop some nice bud spots. I started to feed them some nutrients (about 1/2 of the recommended dose). We'll see if they take it well. I also stopped watering them everyday. Now I water them ever 48-72 hours, depending on the soil. I think it works well for them. As I haven't done any LST, I know that the yield will be smaller, I already see some spots that don't get any light, but I'm still quite happy with everything so far :)

Hi! My plants are in their 2nd week of flowering and some of the leaves at the bottom of the plant (very few in the middle) are starting to turn yellow and they look kind of lifeless. It's very dense in the tent so maybe they don't have enough light? or lack of nutrients ?

It’s a nutrient defincency, nothing to care to much, natural life cicle of the plant that in the start of the flowering start eating a little bit more nutrient . The signs i can read is Mg definciency for the yellowing not on the veins, the necrosis on the first photo can be Calcium ( related to the Mg)

End of 2nd week of flowering (week 5). The MPK's have grown into huge plants! I never thought an auto flower strain could go that high. They're developing some incredible purple leaves and buds. The 2Gums are also well. They've stayed smaller but bushier and their buds are mostly very white. I had some concerns about some yellowing leaves at the base of the plants but I think I have it under control now. I increased the nutrients I am giving them and they seem to like it. My main issue now is the lamp distance: There's like 40 cm difference between the top of the MPK's and the top of the 2gums, so either I move the lamp further away so the MPK's aren't too close to the light, but in that case the 2Gums will be too far away, or I let the lamp where it is and risk burning the top of the MPKs. I still don't really now what I'm going to do about it but for now it's under control. See ya next week !

End of flowering week 3. After some struggles with dying leaves, everything is going well now. The plants have stopped their vertical growth and are now focusing on developing the buds. The smell its getting more intense every day. Some brown pistils are starting to appear on the buds of the MPK's. The 2Gums are developing less buds than the MPK's, I think it's because they're smaller and thus less exposed to the light. I also think it's going to take the 2Gums 1 or 2 more weeks to reach full maturity. I'm not really sure when to start flushing the MPK's, but I think I'll wait another week. Cheers!

End of flowering week 4. The buds are getting fatter and fatter. I still have some yellowing leaves, mainly at the base of the plants, but I think it's a normal process as the plants are approaching full maturity. Pistils are starting to turn amber, I think about 30-40% are amber on the MPK's, a little less on the 2Gums. I don't have a microscope or magnifying glass to check the trichomes but I think they'll be ready in about 2 weeks, so I'll flush them in a few days.

As I don't have any magnifying glass or microscope to check the trichomes, I'm relying on the color of the pistils to evaluate the maturity of the plants. However, as it is my first grow, I don't really now if they are ready for a flushing. What do you think ?

flushing is an urban myth. Your plant looks a little over-nuted with the glossiness, if true in real life and not the photo tricking me. (canoeing, some tip burn etc.. it's got more than enough) So, you could benefit from a few water-only irrigations. I'd simply resume if it isn't harvest time after that, but with 1/2 strength and go fro there... soil should retian nutrients well, so flushing for 10-14 days isn't unusual. I'd wait for buds to look about ripe, then start. That's typically how long nit takes the trichomes to mature in my experience, 10-14 days.

End of flowering week 5. I am going to stop feeding them nutrients as the pistils are turning more and more amber. Still can't really tell about the trichomes (clear or milky, I don't know). I didn't flush them for now, I think I'll do it in the next 2-3 days. Buds are still getting thicker and the smell is getting pretty intense when I open the tent. One of the 2Gums seems to be pretty late comparing to her sisters, but her buds are starting to get fatter which is good. Oh and the buds on the MPK's are getting really heavy, some of them started to bend so I attached them with rope.

End of flowering week 6. I stopped giving them nutrients for about a week now, I only water them (PH 6.6). The leaves are pretty much all starting to fade and they're all turning yellow. The buds have stopped fattening so I think they're ready for harvest. I will water them one last time in 2 days and then I'll give them a 48h dark period before I chop them down.
