WickedGreen413 End of week 3 signs of reveg still apparent. Transplanted into 1 gallon jugs. Cut handle worked well as an improvised "sip". Added two GSC fems in 5 gal fabric pots.
WickedGreen413 Moved from 2x2 to 2x4 tent, LED to 315CMH. Flipped to 12/12. I should have fastened the scrog much more tightly, but it is what it is.

WickedGreen413 Showing frost at day 18 on the mikado cross. This was around the time I asked if I could name the strain something shorter. I was trying to blast Casper Seeds on IG and writing out all the hashtags for the lineage was getting old. I couldn't place the weird tropical funk I was smelling. When I contacted Casper I was asked if I thought they smelled like cantaloupe. I had an olfactory epiphany and the name hit me; #Hashmelon.

WickedGreen413 Decent little stacks starting to form. Awesome aroma. Good frost production. At this point I was falling in love with the strain just due to its propensity to be grown under less than epic conditions. They took to the scrog nicely, despite the looseness of the trellis.

WickedGreen413 I started to dial back the nutes a bit. These girls immediately showed signs of malnutrition and magnesium deficiency. I've since found Hashmelon to be a very mag hungry strain so I have since upped my dosage of Demeter's Destiny and Gaia Mania to double the chart dosage. I've also abandoned the Spartan regimen in favor of the Greek regimen.

WickedGreen413 I was checking the trichomes pretty regularly and still at this point only had about 40% milky. The buds still seemed a little small to me for their age, but I was rewarded for my patience by the end of this cycle.

WickedGreen413 This week the buds really packed on some size. I doubled up on Herculean Harvest this week and cut all the other nutrients out. By this point, if the fan stopped for any reason my entire apartment would reek within 10 minutes.

WickedGreen413 These girls threw lots of white pistils toward the end and I was a bit torn to chop them. While many of the cultivars used in this cross are indica strains, I felt as though this phenotype had a bit higher percentage of sativa characteristics. I was seeing very little amber in the trichome, but my milky percentage was around 90-95, so down they came.
She's mag hungry from the onset of flower, maybe even late veg. Anyone can grow this well. A pro could take this to the next level very easily. This strain is still in testing, but hopefully it will be released commercially to the public very soon. It will most likely only be available through Casper Seeds via DC Seed Exchange.
WickedGreen413 This is all from a diary I kept on my hard drive. I really like this site and figured I'd go through a complete cycle on here to see what it was all about. I can't wait to use Grow Diaries a little more seriously. @WickedGreen413
