Ready Get set Go First timer. I am trying two strains at the same time for my first grow. I have soak it in water and will let it 24hours. Thank you for reading Day 2: Time to move the seed to germinate slowly in a paper towel that is moist enough. After doing some research, I have decided to use distilled water to moist the paper towel. So i had to prepare homemade distilled water using a very simple technique. Open to share the technique if you need. For this step I took two identical plates that would make like a dome when tied together with an elastic. I used 4 paper towel sheet. Two in the bottom and two to cover the seeds. I put the first two on the first plate, pour some distilled water on it, removed excess, put the seed on it, covered with the two other paper towel then cover with the other plate. Tied everything together with two elastics. I think we will have to wait for day 6 to transplant, finger crossed. Day 3: Surprise Surprise, the baby seed is showing its roots quite fast, After only a day in the dome, i guess it is ready to go in its pot for it to continue its growth. I thinking i should not wait longer as the roots are 1cm overnight and i don't want it to get stacked in the paper towel. Time to prepare my soil mix. I have documented myself quite a lot, I am using organic soil, mixed with perlitte and only a little peat moss right in the middle where the seed will bed. Now that's ready, time to carefully transplant from paper towel to final pot. Pay Attention if the paper towel is too dry it may harm the root when you try to pick it off, you better pour some water on the paper towel before picking the germinated seed up. REMEMBER TO HELP THE SEED A LITTLE BY PUTTING THE ROOTS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION THAT IS ROOT IN BOTTOM AND SEED HEAD ON TOP. no need to be super precise as the seed and roots will find its way.

1) How many time to i need to water the plant at this stage? How much water does it need a day at this stage? 2) Do i need to cover the growing zone with a plastic bottle at this stage (Day3)? If yes how should the plastic bottle be? How to prepare it? What about air flow?

Hey! 1. The amount of times your water really depends on how fast the soil drys. I normally water 150ml-300ml of water in the first days. Sometimes it'll be more times a day, is best to give little by little and add as needed rather than giving too much and drowning them. Best way to water is by misting that way you won't apply pressure on the seedling as it seeks light. 2. Covering the seedling with a plastic bottle, cup or whatever is just to maintain humidity as in this stage a 60%-70% is need for fast and healthy growth. If your environment meets the needs, don't worry about the "humidity dome". If you do need it, cut some holes on the sides to create airflow. That's it. I have a few pictures on my Gorilla Glue diary of a cup like that if you want to take a look. Hope this helped. Good luck and happy growing!

✋ See the photo of the organic 10 10 10 I will use to feed the baby when the time come. Can you help me understand: 1) When to start giving nutrient? 2) How to feed the plant the first time? 3) Can I use the same nutrient (see detailed photo) during the whole process, 10 10 10?

hi start feeding with the 10 10 10 in very small amount, your plant is at the 3rd week mark, she is still tiny due to her roots have not hit bottom of the pot. at the 3rd week in veg you start a light feed, this is how you get growth going as starting in the 3rd week your plants cell structure changes from seedling to young plant. so remember that you feed lightly and move up the dose after a week of use. you can use the 10 10 10 through to the start of flower. once you start flower then you want to change your nutrient to a booster with no nitrogen, nitro gen is the first number of the 10 10 10. so in flower just for instance you would want to use something in the lines of 0-30-50, i recommend beastie bloomz by foxfarm, but in the end it is your choice. last you can always pick up some all purpose 20 20 20 this you can use through the veg cycle as well, until flower. so the next time you grow start with the 20/20/20 you just get more in it and it is a bit stronger than 10 10 10 with the 10 10 10 or the 20 20 20 it is designed to feed at every other watering. when you do use it for every other watering you do not mix it that strong, so if the label says this much than you use atleast half that amount. when your feeding now, you use a 1/4 of the amount. you also may want to pick something up for the roots, like great white or extreme gardening mykos i use the extreme gardening mykos as my plants have never been happier. with this you would mix a table spoon or two in your soil mix. right now like i said above, your plant is still bottoming out, tap root hit bottom of pot, once this happen you will see growth pretty much over night. remember not to over water and making your plants water logged. like the food, a little goes a long way. hope this helps

If you have got a ppm reader then when you start to feed you start at 400 ppm 0.8 ec. If you havent got a ppm reader then start at 1/4 dose that the bottle recommends. Only feed once every week or 2 in soil and dont start feeding right away, theres enough nutes in the soil to do her for a month or more after your girl starts to vigorously grow. Cheers

Yea get a PH test kit. Either a pen or the liquid drops, doesnt matter. You need to do this ASAP. That is if you want to invest money into your grow. It says your in soil so you want a ph of 6.0-6.5. Any higher or lower and your plant will suffer from a myriad of issues.

GSC in particular has this cool gene where purple/red coloring appears on the stem of the plant when it’s experiencing cooler temps as a sort of low-key stress reaction, like plant equivalent of a blush as I understand it lol. As long as the temp isn’t too out of range it won’t hurt the plant, and some people will grow at cooler temps on purpose to get this coloring effect

@punsnroses420, that's a superb additional knowledge you gave me access to. Thank you so much! I think the temp doesn't go down 16* and expecting it to get much better during the next vegetative stage of the plant.
