It's insane how fast these autos grow. My first time with autos and when you compare the Pink Kush to the Creme de la Chem it almost grows twice as fast!
It seems they have established themselves well in the pots. They stopped stretching and are starting to develop a strong stalk. The leaves appear to be growing by the hour! Since I switched to the Es 300 by The Electric Sky Company the difference in growth is remarkable. It goes to show what a quality grow light is capable of.
No nutrients added yet. The Gaia Green 4-4-4 mix and 2-8-4 mix are doing their job. I'm expecting to re-amend the medium in a week or so.
First time growing autos, how often would you recommend adding amendments? Given their short lifecycle would it be wise to shift the ratio to more 2-8-4 and less 4-4-4 with my next feeding? My logic is, the amendments take time to break down and I want them available before the plant needs them in flower.
Appreciate any advice :)
P.S. pictures don't show it but after writing this post I plan to start LST!
Look for that in the next update!
Just water this week for the girls. As you can see the Pink Kush from Barney's farm is looking a little sad. I transplanted it into a 5-gallon pot amended with 5 TBSP per gallon with 3 TBSP of the 4-4-4 mix and 2 TBSP of the 2-8-4 mix. After transplanting I watered with a worm casting extract and within two days she was looking much better.
The Electric Sky 300V2 is doing all the heavy lifting. Without a quality light of that calibre, I don't think the plants would look this great! Between quality genetics and quality lights, I'm just here to maintain the schedule.
Just watered this week. Didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to the garden so didn't get many good pics. Next week will be better!
Both phenos grow similar except pheno #1 is slightly stretchier and has thinner leaves. I'm interested to see how they develop over time both in morphology and effects.
Just watering at a PH of 6.6. Hope to take a clone of the pink soon incase the pheno is worth saving. The autos are currently on auto-pilot. They're growing rapidly. I can see why Mephisto is such a popular breeder, they breed beautiful genetics.
The smells are really starting to come through. Pheno 1 smells like grape candy. Not real grapes but the synthetic grape candy smell associated with “grape flavoring” the sweetness is overwhelming!
The second pheno has a cheese and dirty feet smell. It’s offensive, in your face and I love everything about it!
To think these plants are only two months old is insanity! If I didn’t know any better I’d say Mephisto is dipping their beans in the same gamma radiation that made the Incredible Hulk!
The previous week was nuts and I neglected them by missing a watering but they bounced back quick! Excited to see what next week brings.
I had a family emergency this week and had to put them on autopilot for a week. They suffered a little but bounced back with watering in 24 hours. Despite the yellowing, the plants are doing quite well. While I learn the best regiment for my feeding schedule mistakes are bound to happen. Overall I'm happy with the way things are going. I've learned a ton!
I had a little anxiety when I saw the yellowing. I reached out to some educated people on this topic and they assured me this is a natural part of the senescence process. I was afraid I may have hindered growth in the last stages of flower but a few days later and they're getting fatter by the day! Can't wait to see the final weight.
These girls are so thirsty I'm having to water them daily!
Checking the trichomes daily ready to jump on that harvest. So far I’m seeing all cloudy but no amber on the buds. The smell off these plants are beautiful.
Pheno 1 smells like grape candy. Not like grapes but synthetic grape flavoring while pheno 2 smells like dank and cheese with a hint of sweetness.
It’s clear that starting with quality is key to harvesting quality.
Thanks for reading! ✌️
They stopped stretching a long time ago but the buds keep fattening up. The light burned them a tad, had to lift it up a little more.
I’ve learned I should feed once more in flower before harvest as I imagine they cannibalized themselves a little earlier than expected.
The trichomes are all cloudy but no amber. Checking daily for that exciting moment when they’re ready to chop!
The buds are so heavy they’re literally bending the plant causing it to lean to one side. So far, the most successful grow to date! Would you say the burnt leaves are normal or should I have feed once more to prevent this?
Thanks for checking it out!

@Ferenc, Thanks! it's been a great learning experience thus far. Communities like this and the cannabis community on Instagram have provided invaluable information.
I cant wait to see what they smell like! They grow so much faster compared to photoperiods.
