I'd guess it was shocked in early veg rooting and never really established. It's definitely a thing that happens. Also, with autos, if you shock them often you don't control whether they're going to flip while they're still recovering or make sure you get a good veg period. It's one of the reasons I've gone back to photos, if something happens or they need to wait I can just veg them until they recover.
