Hello everybody and thank you for staying with me and my Very First Grow. First I want to thank all of your diaries that have helped educate and prepare me for my own. I got a brand new Spider Farmer 4x2 Tent Kit with the SF2000 LED and 4" inline fan. I also put a 6" clip fan in the corner for airflow and a diffuser humidifier to raise rh for germination and seedlings. So far the ILGM White Widow Auto seeds started very slow. After leaving them in distilled water for 24 hours, no seeds cracked and no tap roots emerged. I still proceeded to plant them in Organic Potting Soil with extra Perlite added. It took 3 more days for #1 to emerge, 4 days for #2, and 5 days for #3 - whose root grew out of the soil and I carefully flipped and covered back up with her shell still attached. #4 is actually an ILGM Super Skunk Auto that didn't germinate. GD prefers single strain dairies so perhaps I'll make a separate dairy for it when I get a sprout. As of now my goals are: - water lightly when dry, increasing area as roots grow - keep temperature 72-78 degrees, and rh 60% I'm not sure what the best lighting height and dimming to use, so I'm following SF recommendations of 30" 40% dim for seedlings, 24" 60-80% veg, 18" 90-100% flo. So far the growth is very slow day to day. I tried messing with the light dimness but don't notice much reaction from the plants. End of week 1 from seed.

#1 looks the same as 3days ago. Their first set of leaves and new growth are light green and curving downwards. Should have bigger and next set of leave? Tested pH of purified water I used and it's a bit high at 7.0. I dimmed the light to 25% from 40. Other ideas?

Hey there Jabz, you're right to spot this as a problem. So this is due to overwatering. What happened is that humidity got trapped towards the center of the pot and water mold appeared causing root zone issues which in turn causes the droopy leaf symptom. You do need to stop overwatering, probably you can wait 2 to three days between waterings. Try the lifting pot method to never overwater again : www.youtube.com/watch . Then keep monitoring the plant, just by following a strict wet/dry cycle the plant should fully recover quickly, but if it doesnt what happens is you have to break down the problem roots with a chelation agent like humic acid or enzymes which are common cannabis products. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Help these babies please! Watering very little when dry with 6.2pH. I can't get these growing. Should I flush? Transplant in different soil? Add nutrients to lower soil pH?

Hey! Plants need way more moister in the first weeks of life. If the soil is constently dry they take longer to grow. Don't over water but you're definetly under watering. I would take the PH down to 5.8, at this stage nutrients are better absorbed at that PH. If your using a light or heavy mixed soil, you don't need add nutrients until 3-4 after being planted. It does look like a bit of Nitrogen deficieny but it could be because of the prior mentioned stuff.. I recommend you water more, to give more moister in the roots and fixing PH, RH seems. fine. If that doesn't work add a bit of nutrients. Hope this helped. Good luck and happy growing!
