Stigghiola This week looks very good, the flowers of Black Cream are a little bit violet, all the plants are good and very healthy...waiting to harvest... 😲🙄 Update November 1st, all the plants are in excellent condition, I gave all the plants a nice trim, allowing light to reach all the flowers.

Stigghiola This week I decided to change the lamp back to an old HPS I used before, and I noticed that the results are great. With the LED lamp, it seemed like the flowering was lasting an eternity, so I tried switching to see if the flowering could speed up, and it seems to be working. UPDATE: November 8th, I gave all the girls a nice trim. I think this is the last time I touch them because this time I removed some really unnecessary and superfluous branches.

Grow Questions

What fertilizers could I use more of to increase the yield and make the flowers bulk up more? Should I increase the doses of something or is it better to add some other fertilizer?

GMSgrowsanswered grow question 6y ago
I use Massive bloom formulation in flower along with my flower nutes. But the feed is only part of the equation and a small part at that. This is what plants need to grow their best. #1 Sun, get the best lights you can get, led are ok if you spend upwards of 2000 dollars, Hid is still the best for people without that kind of money to spend. The light is what allows the plant to create the sugars to grow. The better the light the better they grow. A cheap Hid will outperform a lower quality led any day. #2 is environment. Keep that as close to the humidity, warmth and c02 they require., then comes the food. With food, less is always best. Under fed the girls will still perform very well. Overfeed and the will suffer greatly and under perform on the flower production. Cheers

Stigghiola This week is going well, the flowers are getting bigger, they're all full of resin but they're still a bit small, let's hope they bulk up more 🤞🏽 Update November 17: Today I added a new support light specifically to illuminate the flowers that are lagging behind the others. I'll leave it on 24/7 to see if it can make a difference, in the meantime, some flowers seem to be starting to bulk up and join together.

I added a Sonlight Led Bar 24x3W to increase the spectrum and ensure that the light reaches all the flowers. Should I place it lower or higher compared to the top?

You could put it lower than the apical, and aim it at the middle range and lower set of flowers, as long as you have a main lamp also running above your plants.

Stigghiola This week I decided to set up a LED support light to ensure all the plants get enough light. The plants keep growing, and the flowers seem to be maturing nicely. I hope to harvest at least 4/5 plants within 2/3 weeks because some are quite behind compared to others.

Stigghiola This week I set up the HPS lamp and moved it to the area where the plants seem more ready, the flowers are getting bigger and from the orange filaments it looks like they are maturing, looking through the microscope the terpenes are still transparent. Update November 27: I checked the terpenes of the black cream under the microscope and they seem almost ready, next week I'll take some tops from the 2 black cream that are almost ready and leave the lower branches since they are still less ready compared to some. Update November 28: The plants continue to grow steadily, the black cream seem more and more ready for harvest. Update November 30: Today I decided to harvest some tops from 2 black cream that were nicely ready.

Do you think it would be worth doing a complete defoliation of all the plants one last time, or should I leave it alone?

Let it be, those big healthy green leaves are providing all the energy your plant NEEDS to grow her biggest flowers. 10 of the small "bud leaves" can not produce as much energy as one big fan leaf. Leaves should only be removed when they go yellow. Fewer healthy green leaves = less energy produced = smaller flowers. It is that simple. Plants can not "channel" energy. All energy is used throughout the whole plant. If you remove the healthy green leaves, your plant will just want to grow new ones to bring the potential energy production levels back up again. While growing the new leaves, she will delay flower growth, resulting in smaller and possibly less flower volume. Hope this helps..... Organoman.

Stigghiola This week I harvested 1 green Gelato that was ready for the harvest, this is one of the plants that has currently produced the most compact but small flowers, in fact all the flowers weigh 60g wet, I can't wait to see when they are dry. In the meantime, the black is drying, and as soon as I've harvested all the plants, I'll put the total weight, etc.. The plants are also all in good condition.

Stigghiola Hey everyone, sorry for the absence, after 2 weeks I'm back with some great news! I solved the humidity problem thanks to the new dehumidifier, and I also bought a 135w heating mat. Next week will be the last week and I'll put everything to dry. The 2 black creams have already produced more than 80g dry, attached is a photo of a bud. Even though the video shows some humidity photos, the air seems to be great now.

Stigghiola This plant was very easy to grow, it grew really well and produced a lot of resin-rich flowers. In the photos, I'm only attaching 4 jars that contain about 30 g, but it actually produced more than 70 g.

Hey dude :) Just to answer to an already answered question you asked, about how to improve yeld. I would recommend using a bigger pot, this will be the best thing to do for your next grow. 16L will be a good start :)

@PurpleWorship, Yhea dude but I use a 100 hydropro platinum kit, do you think I can insert a 16l pot in this kit?

@Stigghiola, Oh, my bad! Missed that! I have no experience at all with hydro, so I can't tell. It may be irrelevant.
