Northern Light Auto Girls

id_growers The seed germinated in a total of 3 days, and with a root of about 2 cm, we proceeded to transfer the Northern Light girls to their final pot. We used a 10L Airpot to innovate in the pot, as we want to check for a greater amount of healthy roots. We're giving them 100 ml every 2 days.

id_growers Our Northern Lights are slowly catching up in growth to the other strains we are cultivating. Unfortunately, out of the 3, one was almost completely eaten by our cats who got into the indoor, but it has several sprouts that give us hope for two main branches to develop, like a very poorly done apical cut at the second node.

id_growers Despite being attacked by our cats, the Northern Lights were not affected at all, except for one that had its growth almost completely stopped, but it started to sprout new shoots and that keeps us pretty excited. We hope our little one keeps growing and has a growth spurt, so it can return to normal growth just like its sisters.

id_growers During the week we noticed that pistils started to appear, so the flowering stage begins. We are very excited about the type of apical growth it will have since we have done LST on all its sisters.

id_growers Our Northern Lights are the ones that so far haven't shown any significant deficiencies. Out of the three, one is much taller than the others, the one that was eaten by the cats is the second tallest, and lastly, the third one is the shortest. Genetically, it's a bit behind, but we hope it completes its cycle well.

id_growers Two of our 3 Northern girls suffered stress and we still don't know why, but that caused them to become hermaphrodites. One had several green male pre-flowers and we had to kill her, the other had a few dry ones, so we removed those pre-flowers and washed her with water in case there were any leftover pollen. We're keeping an eye on how she evolves.

id_growers Our 2 Northern plants are doing great, week by week their buds are fattening up nicely! In the girl that turned out to be hermaphrodite, we don't see any new signs of male flowers, so we're feeling more at ease.

id_growers This week, we mainly noticed the fattening of the plants, and the creation of trichomes as well. The one that had shown hermaphrodite symptoms, after we removed its male pre-flowers and sprayed it with water, no longer showed male pre-flowers; we hope not to find any seeds.

id_growers Despite starting with 3 plants and having two turn hermaphrodite, we managed to revert one back to female, so we were only able to harvest two. The buds weren't that big in 7-liter pots, but they were compact.
