COMMENTED BY 2020Grower 2020Grower 23 September 2020 First week of veg, tops of plants turned yellow for some reason I don’t know why. Been 10 days since transplant Somehow the tops of my plants yellow, and slows the growing. Still can’t figure out why. Anyone can chime in on this? I mix my water and wait about 5-10 min and check ph. Ph steady at 5.9 then I water. Few days later plants yellow on the top. So weird :/

Topped plants this week. Looking better then last week. Subbed out cal mag for growth enhancer and added killer tea. I’ve leaned that in coco, plants get yellow very very fast, even if the coco is moist or wet, doesn’t mean there are nutrients in your medium. If you don’t supply enough when you water, chances are that the nitrogen and calcium is either eaten up by the plants or the coco medium takes it away so the plants can’t absorb it. Watering once a week, ph at 5.8-5.9 ppm 750-800. Let’s see what happens next week. Fingers crossed. Happy growing

So since I’ve been having trouble with growing in coco, I decided to use the Canna Coco products. Started off at 3 ml, they got a bit greener, at 6.0 ph. Thinking if I should raise 3ml a gallon to 5ml. Slow growth, not sure what it’s from but we’ll see how they react to the feed. Haven’t really done a flush, I just go up and down on ppm’s every water, since I don’t have a drainage system, only trays. Also trying to figure out why they aren’t gaining much height? 😤

Hey friend So when my plants came in that bright greenish yellow but then grow out into a regular green that can be a sign of iron deficiency.... maybe raise the ph just those couple points and watch for a few more days. I had a ph pen go off on me recently so I try to double check my pens accuracy with some calibration powder occasionally...just to make sure it's working properly. Just a thought.
