I was wrong on height of the twins last week. They were only 7 inches. They've grown 3 inches this week. I was also wrong on the light distance. Last week was 6 inches. We changed to 12 inches this week. Next week, I'm taking better pictures to show how we LST this beauty and the fiming. I'm still learning what is what so bear with me everyone. 😊

We had to adjust her light a couple times this week because of growth and side dominance. We will be doing the same this week if she keeps up this growth spurt. We will also be moving her to her permanent space some time this week or the beginning of next week. At her rate of growth right now, itll probably be midweek. Will update all info next week.

Ok. She's in her permanent home. She has a nice smell to her already. Its sweet. She's taking a half gallon of water each time. We adjusted her light a bit away to promote growth and stretch. This one is special to us. She's our first photo from seed. She twined. (Which I didn't know was a thing) we chose LST and topping with her. We are finished topping and LST. We plan to let her grow and be as natural as possible until trimming to flower........I think. I added a few photos of her this week to help me keep track of her growth. She's looking good in my opinion. I know I still have a lot to learn and plan to enjoy it each step. 😊

My husband "accidently" topped her in two places. Tried looking to see where so I could at least get pics. Haven't found it. Lol Doing nothing special this week. Just normal watering and going to let her grow. She didn't get taller but she's filling out well.

She hasn't grown up, but she's filling out quite nicely. Looked at others growing Criteria Kush (CK photos) and noticed the growth of plant just before they put into flower. My husband decided thats what we are doing. He put up a trellis and we will use this to help during flowering. She seems happy and content. I hope she stretches and flowers nicely. Its flower time baby. 🌺⏳

Shes doing her stretch. She's grown 2 inches since putting her into flower. Trying to talk hubby into lowering the trellis a little, but he thinks she's going to grow quite a bit more. He's usually right. 🤣

Had a rough past week. Experiment plant died. Room got too hot. New light works wonders, but forgot to calculate temp increases between rooms, plus the increase in temps in our locale. 1.5 days with no love and My husband and I were like oh dang! Added fan and turned on air. Temps were mid 80s in all rooms. We are watching closely and all rooms (as of now) are back to normal. 😊 Twin: We switched some lights around and gave her the T5. Husband thinks she will still be fine since technically this light is better then her previous light. I'm skeptical with a what's happened. However, I'm also optimistic because this is a huge learning experience for both of us. She did turn a bit yellow, but this wasn't from the heat issue. She had a nutrient burn. We discovered, we used too much per ml for her this soon. We flushed the rest of the week and plan to slowly add more bloom nutrients per watering. She's got little blooms going. It's so cute. She grown another two inches and seems strong.

No real change or update. Sorry. Opening day for rifle. 😁 Getting 🦌. Bought ph testers. (Water and soil) New light and changing the rooms around again. Its a constant change for us as we upgrade and learn. Plus super limited space. Will do complete update midweek or for next weeks update. Shes not happy. Ph in soil is at 8. Bought ph down but have to wait until Monday. More about her later. Hopefully I can update midweek.

Ok. Here's a big update of this beautiful girl. So when starting in this new craft, my husband and I went cheap. Didn't know what we were doing. Thats ok though. We've heard from many people that no matter what, no matter how much you know, you will always learn. Well. We added 3 brand new 1000 watt lights in our new grow area which is right next to the closet we have our beautiful girl under a t5 florescent light. Temps increased last week and caused us to havest two plants (even when they weren't 100% ready) Our girl was effected by the heat and started yellowing. We cooled the rooms down and now have a steady daily temp of 74 degrees. We also noticed her ph in the soil was 8. We purchased some ph down. (FYI for those that don't know. When you add ph down. Literally do it drop by drop per gallon) we dropped the ph and so far so good right.......no. shes still yellowing. Guess what?! Spider mites! Found them today. Pics this week are after we drowned her. Moved plants, treated her room, drained her well and moved her back in. *FYI for spider mites I've only used bleach water spray in the room.* We will see if the yellowing goes away. Hopefully she will be fine and continue to keep blossoming. We went a head and trimmed off a couple branches that were not reaching the light and anything that would take away from the main bud sites. We hope we will be more successful with her then the previous attempts on plants. Although we've had issues, we were at least prepared this time to handle the situation more quickly. Fingers crossed she heals well. We will keep checking on her more closely because we hope with everything we've learned, we can try to bring her back.

She is super duper mega unhappy. My husband I are thinking of just tossing her. We are giving her a couple more days before we decide. She did not recover from the couple of days of extensive heat and the treatment for PH down. During this time, we also discovered that she had spider mites. For Spider mites we dowsed her in water, spraying her down. Then leaf by leaf (being careful around bud sites) I went through and physically rubbed them down to make sure webs and mites were either crushed or removed completely. Her room was bleached down properly and aired out before her return. Been checking in on her daily and today we see she has some webbing and mites on her again. We do not want to dowse her with water again because she did not take well to that either. Probably because she was already through so much. IDK for sure, but I am researching to see if this can happen to plants or not. Am actually asking that questions here today. With her going through so much, should we even try basically. Today we decide if we are dowsing her again or using different treatment. Hubby and my debate time. bwah hahahaha!!! *note* No other plant was infected as far as we know today. We continue to check daily just to be sure. We hope that because she was in a completely separate room, we will not see these on the others. However, one never knows.

Grow Questions

After a plant has been in flower for 5 weeks and has gone through basically hell for a plant, should we still try to bring her back to life? Heat Exhaustion, High PH in soil, and a drowning to get rid of spider mites. Doesn't look like she's doing anything anymore.

For non toxic options (you’re going to consume the flower, right?) : -Diatomaceous earth (non toxic white powder that shreds apart pests, no harm to plants) -Nematodes (you water them into soil, they kill pests from the inside out) -Lady bugs (they eat them up, no harm to plants) -Neem oil - dip your plants or foliar spray application -Essential oils (rosemary, oregano, mint, lemon, orange mixed with water foliar application) Food for thought, do some research on each. Good luck again

Her flowers haven't grown in three weeks. I want to try another week, but my husband wants to chalk it up as done and just use her for balm. I will update with more when I know more. :( It is sad, when you try really hard and have no success. That is ok. I will continue on and not give up.

I received some seeds from a friend that he made feminized using some silver thing.......I am sure many of you readers know what I mean simply using the word silver. I am not 100% sure what that is, but I know you have to be careful or you can turn into a smurf. No seriously look it up. We germinated several, some were eaten by crickets......LONG STORY. Some were given away after a couple of weeks and we decided to keep the twin. We had received clones, but have never grown from seed. We thought we had a nice little home for her and she was growing well. However, her life started nicely, but she was really slower growing because we started her under a 20watt LED light to which we thought was a 300 watt. Once we figured out buying lights that say one thing does not mean they produce what they say. She was finally moved into her own room with a nice T5 Fluorescent 400 watt fixture and she was happy. She grew and expanded and we were ecstatic. Into her flowering stage she went after some time. First few weeks were amazing she grew her flowers looks well and then we started having issues. She suffered from heat exhaustion, high PH in soil, bad spider mite problem. (we got right on that one and are prepared should this all happen again.) She literally stopped flowering. Her flowers stopped growing and we waited 3 weeks before deciding just to harvest and use for external purposes. (balm its literally all I make. However, it is amazing!!! LOL) 😂 We did keep a small amount to maybe smoke a bowl or joint, but we are probably not going to. We are very unsure. I mean look at the biggest "bud." It is nothing but hair. I have plenty more seeds and much more knowledge now. I plan to grow her again to see how she can really produce under proper care. 1.5 grams dry to smoke. (if we decide to) Most of harvest is going to be used for balm.
