17 of May - Since the last update, 10 days ago, the last two plants have only been given clean water with no nutrients.
In the meantime I've aquried a x45 microscope. To my novice eyes the resin looks white and not clear, I've tried to take a picture of it (it's not the best picture...).
So I've read some where that one cloud stop watering a day, or two before harvesting, so they didn't get any water for two whole days.
Compared to the plants harvested on 7 of May, these where quit dry, but still very sticky.
I got 50 gram in "wet" weight, compared to the 77 from the others, this looked like a bigger volume though, so I assume that the lack of watering for 48 hours might be the reason. That buds felt way more dry then the ones harvested last week.
In my eye measurement I would say the volume is 1/3 bigger than the plants harvested last week.
The 77 grams I harvested last week are now only 30 grams, so fare the lost nearly 60% during drying. The buds now feel dry to the touch, but still soft and not totally crunchy. But I thought it was time to take a test smoke.
It was a very mild taste, with notes of herbs and lemon. The high was very good, it was a stealthy high that sneaked up on me. A relaxing body feeling and nice spin in the head.
I'm looking forward to compare it to the harvest from today. Since the only difference is its life time and the lack of watering before harvest.
@OgBat, yes I'll gladly share my experience. I assume you mean the high from smoking? Right now it's curing, when it's ready I'll have a taste and make a review. I'll post more pictures when the last two plants are being harvested.
What type of water do you have? The hardness of the water will have an affect on your nutes.
We have really hard water where I live, so pH is always highish. It works well because a lot of nutes are more acidic.
Also, Check the hardness of your water. Hard water also has more calcium and other minerals too, so adding certain might not be necessary. Also, I couldn't see how much you were watering your plants.
Its all about the water!
@Quexos, Thanks for the advises i started to add more nutes and they started to get a much better green color.
My ph is 6,9-7,2 when mixed with nutes. But i have very harsh water in my area.
I should have check in on this page more often.. But ill update my journal now 😀
@Ukgrow420, Thanks mate 😀
This is kind of a test grow, to make sure everything is working. My big plan/dream is to starte a SOG with clones. But one step at a time 😊
@Lui1983, I actually removed the pencils after i took the photos. In week 2, which is lagging of pictures the plants got floppy. So it was a quick fix. But i appreciate you suggestion 👍
