Ok so here we have some #north Bay purps v2 from @mendoroots and @riptideseeds this strain was asked to be grown under organic conditions as per the breeder request . I'm using a mix of promix bx with #nextgen soil at a ratio of 1/3 promix to living soil .. They we're popped on a Thursday and out of the soil by a Tuesday morning or night .. The plants seem happy and growing just fine with no burning or issues . The plan is to run these in a fabric pot of straight living soil once they are big enough to go into it .. There will be no amendment added unless it's organic and absolutely necessary to this plants growth and success . Besides this it will be a good run and they are just hitting week one now ..cheers and have a good one .
Well this has been a very productive second week for this set of three plants . I was told to run them all organic and so I'm using the nextgen soil it's an all organic living soil . The whole grow I plan to use this soil and will add amendments if needed as I go on with the grow and it's different stages . They are being grown under 20 hours of light with a full spectrum led and are in smaller cups to start with . The goal is to lst train them and get them into 3 gallon pots for flowering . For two weeks they are doing very good and I'm excited about the future of this winter grow . Always exciting to try some new beans ..
Bam one the most quick growing and massive stems I've seen at this age . The genetics are strong and I'm really liking what they look like. Topped all three and still water only will be getting transplant soon . Going into a couple 7 gallon pots ..these are gonna be monsters
These babies have been put into bigger pots two went 7 gallon and one is 3 gallon . All in nextgen living soil . They are doing great and taking to the training very well I'm looking for some bushy plants and need to fill out there little area each . Really hoping for a female at least one , there appears to be two pheno one with purple stems and one without . I'm really happy with there growth rate and ability to handle training . Here we go now
Man you want fast growing and strong genetics then look no further these are the shit .. they smell amazing and are growing in a 6-7 gallon and a 3 gallon fabric pot . They are being given water only except for some Dutch science nutrients "humates " . So far I killed a male this week and am at two plants the one is female and the other no sign of sex yet but I'm feeling a male just got this feeling. Over all it's been an enjoyable grow and I enjoy the chance to try new genetics ..
Well the Nov 13th was the end of week 7 for their lady we have the one female out of three I planted this was not bad . She is a best and has a great amount of vigour .. The photos don't show the training I started but next week's update will have some before and after shots of the plant and how I be there around the tent .. it's gotta be close now I'm honestly thinking maby another 1-2 weeks and we are flipping over to flower it's about that time ...grown in organic living soil and added miicrobes to keep soil life active and happy
Well we are updating on Nov 25th and she is doing great .. I have trained her out a few times this week . Today was feeding day used my new ph pen and it went well calibration no problem ..watered at 6.8 I'm always between 6.5 - 7 I have a organic vegetation and miicrobialmass as well . She had some defoliation today as well and is at the shape and size I want to flower her at .. she had been quick and lanky as she grows so I'm assuming flowering she will get her stretch on... On the 26 I am going into flower !! Cheers
I keep missing and forgetting weeks here and there but this lady just finished week one of flowering . I also did some lower defoliation and its stretched out with the watering this time . I'm gonna be more the ball these coming weeks with flowering here now . I did a feed today as well after watering a bit with plain water .I used a dutch science bloom feed . Organic living soil with organic nutrients too , cheers and grow on .
Been a good run with all the indoors this year . We have this one in day 14 of flower and loving life . She was stripped and cleaned on the bottom today . It's in living soil with added microbial mass and dutch science bloom, and humates .. the bud sites are just starting to get some frost building up now and the smell in this tent is crazy . Lots of fruity , gas , skunk smells can't wait to see them progress more ..
Still doing good no issues to report getting some nice flowers now .. bud sites are plentiful and has a great fruity gas smell right now .. I'm currently done stripping the bottom leaves and bud sites so that I get just the top colas .. she is organic grown with added microbes and organic nutrients ..a true fighter since day one I have a few beans left for outdoors next year .. week three flower done ..
Man she is a gorgeous plant no complaints with this one ! I've really enjoyed this while grow .the plant had been super easy to train and loves being in organics .. I still have a few left beans This will be part of my outdoors run next spring .. terps are fruity like grapefruit and some very distinct sweet smell . Can't wait to see her in the end ..
The best looking and almost best smelling . Funky , and fruity it's got heavy gas like heavy . It's been great and lots of colour too . Not the most frost but so sticky too. Organic grown in living soil and its been a huge help . Been lacking on the details but that ok for now I just want a keep making the plants happy ..
This has some of the most beautiful buds and colours I've ever had on a plant .. it's got a gassy citrus earth smell .. very different and super sticky , trichomes are not crazy but it's a plant with lots of strengths .. training easy , over feeding easy it likes that organic feeds and a true tasty growing strain .. still got a few left for outdoors next year can't wait .. cheers
Wow bomb ass plant ..the colors the smell and that frost building up .. it's been so much fun with this one .. the plant is all organic grown and in living soil can't wait for it to end another few weeks
This strain is a winner all around . Great with training and loves to be given light feeds nothing heavy .. just hitting cruise control and waiting for the end to come another 2 weeks or so . Cloudy trichomes no amber yet .. organic grow
An amazing strain to grow I truly enjoyed their genetics. Training was easy and she loved it lots of growth and a great scent on her . These last few days it's changed to a smokey smell and earthy with slight sweetness .. I have never had a strain smell smokey lol .. all organic grow and definitely frosty and sticky . The colours are amazing and she has some dense buds through out the plant ..
Beautiful colours on these buds , lots of little orange throughout and some amazing terps like grapefruit and citrus .. towards the end of her life it was giving a smokey fruit like bar b q scents .. the taste is very grape fruit on the exhale . A heavy smoke I prefer this at the end of the day or late afternoon to be honest and it's overly sticky so rolling is a pain .
This was an amazing strain to grow both for its smoke and it's beautiful colors . This was gifted to me by a friend to try from an American breeder and I was very happy with the results though it could have been better but I made a few mistakes along the way .
The plant grew well from day one I had planted 4 and got 2 females one of which I gifted to a friend .
These plants were fast growing and loved to be trained bit in lst and topping too . The first mistake I made was not giving her enough room because it stretched upwards and outwards . It's also a heavy drinker in water and nutes , she ate a bit more then the rest .
Fast growing , east trainer, string terps and great for medical use. Head high and heavy smoke with a great fruit and zest smell.
Would grow it again but definitely an outdoors run because id want to see how tall it could get and it's colours would be popping
cheers
Looking beautiful, cant wait to see mine 5 weeks into flower. Can I ask do they like nutrients every feeding? I keep reading they dont like much nutrients IDK.... Happy growing!
Thanks, yeah I'm the same, I try to use a little nutrients as possible. Quality is what i'm always after, and most of the time depending on strain If quality is there my quantity is as well. Many thanks, happy growing!
Did you make this strain? I'm growing 2 different Pheno's of Mendo Purple Kush (AKA Mendo Purps) Its the nicest looking plant I've grown in my 30 years+ ....
