This is my 5th grow. Have gotten considerably better results every time as I learn this great hobby.
started last week. 5/6 seeds germed- planted all 6 in solo cups anyhow tho 6th seed has still yet to sprout, started germing a 6th seed to fill my space (unfortunately don't have any more of these seeds so went with a Tangie seed that has the same expected flowering time (9 weeks).
Started my LED light a foot higher at 80 watts, have alternated lowering the height a few inches or slightly increasing the watts the past week without any negative effects. light is currently running at 100w
continued gradually increasing watts on my light up to 130w now. 6th forbidden fruitcake seed never sprouted, couldn't even find it when gently trying to dig it out. So I added the tangie seed to fill my space which is the smallest of the bunch. Planning to transplant the 5 Forbidden Fruitcakes in the next few days.
Skipped a week of updates without realizing it. Transplanted from solo cups to 4g pots (all with lots of holes drilled into the side). I've continued to increase light intensity gradually by 10-20w per day, am currently at 225w.
As expected they started growing like crazy within 2-3 days after transplant.
I have some strange markings on a few fan leaves on 2 of the plants, unsure wtf its from- whether its just a phenotype trait or from nute/ph/environment issues... either way the newer growth looks better, but will keep an eye on it.
Smallest plant is the lone Tangie seed which is a bit behind the rest.
And I decided to switch from the soil ive used the past 4 grows (Green fields soil) to Royal Gold Kings Mix which is primarily cocoa mixed with some additives.
well I got lazy half way thru veg and didn't update my grow diary. so today I'm uploading a pic from around week 5 of veg as well as the ones I've taken so far thru flower.
I'll try to be better with the weekly updates from now until harvest
Around week 3 of flower...
Got lazy after the first month of veg and didn't update the grow diary. I vegged somewhere around 7 weeks...
I had topped all 5 FFC plants previously and opted to FIM the lone Tangie seed (my thinking was since FIM is less stressful it would give tangie a better chance to catch up since i started it a week later when my 6th FFC seed didn't failed to germinate). However after the FIM the tangie got shocked into flower (first time I've had that happen), so I was kinda forced to flip to flower. It should work out well though as tangie has a longer flowering time than the FFC. So far the tangie plant is powering thru flower impressively
All close up pics will be focused on the front left plant- which is definitely a different pheno than the other FFC's as its a good 6" taller at this point and is also showing the most early purple color of all the FFC's.
NUTRIENTS: using almost the entire line of House and Garden nutes, just missing a few of their suggested products from their feed chart.
around week 4 of flower. everything's looking good. front right plant is 1-1.5 weeks ahead in flower (the only Tangie plant).
I've failed at doing a consistent proper grow diary... will try to do better in the future!
starting week 6 of flower (of a planned 10-11 week flower).
gave my H&G top booster last week, and started Top Shooter this week.
Starting to smell a bit, I love it and my neighbors don't mind (which is why I haven't bothered with a filter).
about to start week 8 of flower.
Got a lot of rain recently which has bumped my humidity up a bit (not the ideal time for that!), but my fan circulation is great so not worried, if it comes down to it ill throw my dehumidifier in there that I usually just need for my drying process.
buds are definitely packing on the past week...
planning on going another 2 weeks. will see how things go.
EDIT: I somehow accidentally deleted all the photos for this week, just added em back
Chop day!!! Will have final harvest update for yall asap. I wasn't sure if my chop/dry weekly pics stay under the 'flower' phase or not.
My house smells glorious, the fruitiness was like a punch in the face while chopping.
