This is my first ever grow so I decided on PE Auto from G13. I heard it was pretty easy to grow and maintain, so I said why not.
I am following a grow someone else has done on this site before.
Hopefully, it turns out with minimal to no hiccups!
I did have a question for anyone who is willing to answer regarding mixing water and nutes:
If I have to feed her 2 cups of water, and mu nutes are 1.5 tsp/gal how do I mix that gallon of water without wasting so much water and nutrients?
Thanks!
It's just simple math and you can give slightly less than whats said to give at this point for sure if you even need nutes atall.
Let's say cup = 2dl and gal = 37.8dl but we can round up to 40dl
teaspoon= ~5ml
so 2 cups = 4 dl
1.5tsp/gal=0.15tsp/2cups
0.15tsp=0.75ml
Proceeding with LST, She accidentally topped herself, but no worries there. I'm actually quite happy I did top her.
Feeding 1/2 gal (@ 750 ppm from pH 6 - 6.5) is lasting ~ 3-4 days
Nutes above are accurate ratios. I just feed 1/2 gal when I do.
Every few days I pluck a couple of leaves that start to cover bud spots

NOTE: I added some pineapple slices in the tent to help the aroma. I also put a few slices in the medium, and there has been no significant signs of toxicity or pH problems. Hopefully that did something!!
Feeding 1/2 Gal of Nutes above. No defoliation anymore. I want this girl to get FAT!
I think she will be ready to Harvest by the middle of the 10th week.
Her trichomes are somewhat milky, bit I still see a lot of clear ones. Very little amber.
Can't wait for next week!
This was my first ever grow. And I did heavy research about the strain and what to expect with it. And just this first grow has thought me a lot. This strain was super easy to grow - especially being an autoflower! Everything since day one was a breeze. I had no major issues with her at all. I only had a REAL when I was fumbling around with her branches, I snapped her top. Thankfully, she never gave up and powered right through it. During the 9th week, I was really starting to see the trichomes get very milky and some were amber, but I still had a few clear ones too. It was pretty hard to tell when she was ready to be chopped, but I settled with the 10th week. I really hope I didn't chop her too early!! However, I still am impressed with her trichome production. She looks so sparkly! One thing I will say is, I don't believe I properly flushed her. Now, I have heard mixed feelings on flushing, and if there really were any benefits. So for the last few feedings, I just gave her smaller and smaller doses, until the last feeding was just Armor Si, and the water.
Even If she doesn't turn out like I'd hoped, I am still happy with how she turned out, and at the end f the day, I still have a yield.
Things I would do differently:
- Raise the height of the light
- Feed more water early on
- More nutes than previously
- Improve LST technique
- Better LST hooks to keep branches down
- Top her earlier
When drying, I am trying to go low and slow, keeping the tent at about 50% - 60% RH. I want my temperature at room temp, but it is staying at around 20 C or less (Any ideas on rasing temp?). After a few days in the drying tent, the buds are starting to smell fruity with a hint of a grassy smell. It's not very pleasant. I hope that when it comes time to cure, the terps and fragrance come out!
**I will update when I have finished drying/curing**
I'm raising a Pineapple Express right now as well. New to growing so I was afraid to top, but yours has responded beautifully. Maybe one day I'll get the courage lol. Nice grow!
@basement_bob, Actually, it was an accident :/ I was moving her around one time, and her top snapped off lol. But hey, least she recovered really well. I thought she was a goner! Thanks!
