Time to run this amazing strain again!!! Have 5 seeds to run as we had 100 percent germination rate with our 'royal queen seeds weeding gelato'! Interested to see what phenos come out this time but I really do love the few different types of phenos it does produce so they will all be run to completion. So were back and now were coming to the end of week 2 veg! Feeding now with biobizz grow which I highly recommend. Also a new addition were using for the first time which is royal queen seeds easy grow booster wich is a small pink tablet that dissolves in water for feeding.. I am going with the lower end of their recommended dose (1 tablet dissolved in 3-5l of water) and as I say we went with 3 so it's a bit more concentrated...since getting a tablet between them they really have kicked in to gear and starting to gain some height. Lst started on the taller phenos and the shorter more bushy phenos been left to gain some height. Co2 bottle added to the room to boost the co2 ppm Please keep in mind when using lst techniques to be careful as I was a bit heavy handed with one and it went pop!! Luckily enough shes a resistant so and so and bounced back knuckled up where the break was and literally no recovery time which I was surprised about but must be a feature of the taller pheno to be even more resilient. Week 3 is here and we have a bit of work to do... On the checklist Lst Defoliation Feeding Using one as a guinipig just for shits and giggles as you do coz why not play with one at least More bending just to train the plant with the goal of gaining the most weight on flipside and making sure any leaf that's reached the size of my hand and I got big ass hands or nearing that size gottsta go! Feeding with biobizz grow as a standard at 2ml will feed it with another grow booster next week as I have it there to use so gonna wack it In before i get them ready to bloom... one of the phenos is really leaning heavy to the indica side short bunched up nodes etc etc so I stopped that one too at least get two colas alot of light rather than one and a few side branches... will see how it all goes and check in with you next week peace

Week 4 and seems to be just flying by More of the same this week as last more lst and defoliation where needed coming along nicely.. I really would have like to flip them this week but gonna let them go another as want a bit more height out of them as you can never be certain how much there gonna stretch so hopefully wont have to end up super cropping during flower where possible but if a must is a must it must be done

So we took it the extra veg week we was thinking of maybe doing to maximise our yeild potential as the more of this strain you have the better I kid you not! If you havnt tried this one out yet what the hell are you waiting for?? I have run it many times and it never disappoints RQS wedding gelato is on the Garythegardener certified list for sure! We hit it with another pink tablet from the RQS easy booster pack to utilise all it benefits and get the babies juices pumping as its gonna transition into the flowering cycle (when plants go through this faze it's a big change hormonally and needs its nutes to be readily available) so just give the ladies a nice bit of attention at this time she will always repay you in a nice even stretch with loads of viable bud sites.... I'll show ya 😏 Lots of lst and defoliation been done to spread the canopy and allow light penetration... rule of thumb any leaf as large as your hand or bigger is consuming more energy than its drawing and we want buddage!! Day 1 of flower now.... Lights schedule now on 12 12 Bloom nutes introduced Humidity reduced so as the buds start forming ther is not too much moisture in the air because there starting to love a drink especially the taller more sativa dominant plants.. Defoliation was done about 5 days before the switch over just to make sure were putting all that energy now in to stretching and bud formation.. plus anything not getting the full penetration is not gonna mature at a rate it should so for me personally I just get rid so we can focus on quality herbal medicine. Over the week they have grown around 10cm in height even tho have been bent and tied daily to get all those side branches turned into main colas and were now looking at around 10-16 tops from each plant Smell is getting strong now and that lovely minty ness is coming through but when the tents sealed the carbon filter is in full effect and keeping itall at bay.. I grow this strain because of its standout qualities and I really should be keeping a mother, maybe when there is more space available. The pheno we topped was topped because we wanted to keep the canopy all the same height so topped it to the level where current side branches were growing. I have mainlined this strain before so I know its level of resistance and had amazing results.. If you let the wedding gelato mature an extra few weeks in veg it will really repay you with harvest quality if you have the time and space I would reccomend a 8 - 10 week veg period simply because of how good it is when a more mature plant and with a flower period recommendation of 9 - 12 weeks max to obtain all its finest qualities. Over the next few weeks we should see the final stretch and buds starting to form so stay locked in and as always Happy gardening Garry

2nd week of flower.... Stretching well and very even thanks to the scrog as one branch will always seem to go crazy with its stretch so just weave it back through the net and bring it back down to canopy height. 3 ml 3ml grow n bloom were now up too and no burnt tips so I think were in the sweet spot at the moment and reading her very well!! A field of tops is what we like and a field of tops is what we see thanks to all our lst bending and tying down and then the introduction of the net has given us our desired result and I would give it a solid 8 out of 10 for execution this time round so I'm really happy with how it's going so far. The genetics are resilient and resistant to alot so if your harm your wedding gelatos you really need to think about dialing it back a touch and giving her the freedom she wants. Smell is amazing and we ain't even got bud yet!!! @rqs they really have done wonders creating this strain and I reccomend to all gardeners high-ly 😉 The rqs easy boost organic nutrition: (only using on one plant as a test run) Has worked brilliant so far throughout these first 7 weeks but have noticed some fading on a couple fan leaves.. I had the option of topping it up by sprinkling more granules on the top soil or using the easy booster and I chose the latter and within a day or so I'm noticing the health is fully restored and all new growth is a lovely healthy green.... half way through my verdict is it's a very good product and makes feeding time easy and quicker for the gardener so at this moment in time I can say it's something worth investing in.. Not really much to report as I'm now just waiting to give her a good trim once the stretch is done... Moved around to get the ones under the 300 under the 6 and vice versa to level out the growth as the ones under the 600 are more rapid Shooting out pistills everywhere looki g absolutely fabulous lol... smell is to die for you just wanna smoke it right now!! Went up a bit on the feed as still not showing any signs of visable nute burn so were tryna push her without going over the edge looking really healthy and just about to give then a feed before these pics.. Really cant wait till shes done because what a treat she is keep an eye out for next weeks update when we do our flower period defoliation to get as much light to her budsites coz that's all we want! Day 28 of flower!! First we defoliated the ladies so light is getting right through the canopy all the way! Might not have to remove any more for the rest of the cycle tbh but will keep an eye just incase any need to go.. Done something maybe a few of you will think is weird but I'm trying to burn the ladies a bit with the 4ml bloom feed not too much because they are happily taking 3.5ml with no signs of nute burn so were just trying to push her and see where her limit is and what I'm looking for is a slight reading or ranging of the tip of the fan leaves... Bud forming well and the smell right now is just beautiful one of them a heavy gelato smell another smelling like the old school fruit salad sweets lovely to smell so hopefully we carry on in that way.. Really looking forward to the outcome as they are perfect at the moment so just gotta keep looking after them well and because I have experience with growing this strain I know she is gonna return greatness Happy gardening G

Week 5 of flower now and were really starting to move along. Lots of defoliation done to let light right through the canopy to get full branches of even quality bud.. Feeding 2,4,2 on grow,bloom and top max every two to 3 days with only a touch of run off which the roots suck back up within 5 mins... Looking very healthy and still had no issues or deficiencies.. All the defoliation this week seem to stress her just a touch so she needed a few days to recover and kick back in to top gear. One of the pheno types....my #3 sitting bang in the middle has that full on gelato smell whilst others are giving off lovely sweet, fruity tropical tones Gonna be a turp festival come smoke time.. Week 6 of flower.... Bud growing in size as it should be for this stage and really smelling beautiful it really does feel like were on a count down with them however I do think the harvest will be slightly staggered with one looking like it will need a week longer maybe. Taking the bio grow back up now I'm starting to see a reaction which is what I wanted so I knew where I was at with feeding her and 3ml grow on the next feed im sure she will be happy with then still with the 4ml bloom and gonna drop the top max to 1ml for the next couple of feeds... Very easy to tend to with all the lst and experience with the strain in the future I will show you a mainline tutorial run with this strain as I've also done that before with this lady and she responded great and came out Ten/10 Getting itchy now because of what a lively smoke she is I just want it now lol but timing is everything 🙏😋🙌 Happy growing

Week 7 flower and the nugz are in the process of fattening up... The smell I have gone on about just keeps getting better daily its quite incredible the terp festival this is.. Gonna keep feeding till she stops growing and then start cleaning the substrate not harsh as were not using chemicals but a good indicator is clear to almost clear run off water to know shes clean for a tasty smoke.

Start of week 8 today and were gonna do 1 more week of feed before we just feed plain water for a week or two. Fattening up nice and the smell getting more mature and rawwwww 🙌🙌😋 Lots of defoliation ar the end of week 5 stressed her a bit and set her back a week I believe which is fine coz we will let them go an extra week to catch up Really cany wait to smoke now

Really really cant complain with this one. Shes beautiful to look at to smell and to taste and amazing effects she gives off... You will be the envy of all your friends but the great thing is that you get to share! Sublime in all areas and one that I hope never disappears from production! Royal queen seeds have done an amazing job and I want to thank everybody that works so hard on creating these amazing products for us!
