1. Another fall, another grow. This is a Pineapple Chunk from Barney's Seeds. I'll be growing it using 100% Batch 64 soil. It's a coco-based soil with amendments. I'm using a HLG 550 w/red diodes as my light set-up. 2. Currently I'm using a spray bottle to keep the soil hydrated. I'll start foliar feeding once the 2nd set up leaves appear. I'll start veg. nutes at 50% once I've transplanted. 3. Once I've transplanted, I'll let her grow to the 5th node then top her. I'll LST the branches in a compass rose pattern. That will give me 8 primary bud sites.

1. PC is growing like crazy! She was a bit leggy so I propped her up. I took down the support when she had righted herself. Then the weight of the new growth toppled her over! I'll keep the support in place for a little while this time. It's flexible wire so it will be easy to remove. 2. PC received her 1st watering/feeding this week. She received 400ml filtered water with a 25% Veg. Nute feeding. I'll feed probably every 3rd watering for the time being. However, I will mist with a 25% solution multiple times a week. 3. I plan to replant into her 5g container once she has either reached 3 nodes, or roots are starting to appear at the drainage holes. 4. The full tent will have 4 plants. A White Widow that I'm also doing a diary and a Do-Si-Do and Sweet Zombie that are not going into a journal.

1. I lost a week. I was out of town and left my plants to a caretaker. They were a bit overwatered when I got back home! I noticed they were droopy and the lower fan leaves were yellowing. 2. I let the plants dry out for a few days. In the meantime I prepared their new home. I filled a 5g canvas sack with Batch 64 soil. I pre-soaked the soil using a 25% strength solution of Remo Growth Nutrients. After letting the soil condition for a day or so, I transplanted the sproutlings. 3. The growth is starting to pick up in the last few days. The yellowing leaves will be trimmed off in the near future. I'd like to see some solid vegetative growth first. 4. Once I'm getting about a node a day in growth, I'll trim off some of the upper fan leaves to allow more light penetration to the secondary growth. Finally, I'll top the plant back to the 5th node then prune off the 1st node.

1. PC is really chugging along. She recovered quickly from transplanting and the plant sitter. 2. I started foliar feeding her 2hrs, prior to the lights coming on in the morning. I'm using a 25% solution of Remo's veg. nutes combo. 3. I watered and fed for the first time since transplanting. I fed her w/2L of filtered water and full strength Remo's Veg. Nutes. She was a happy camper after that. 4. Secondary growth is starting to develop. I'll heavily defoliate the top fan leaves later in the week to expose the secondary growth. I'll top her back to 5th node after the next feeding. Let the training begin!

1. PC recovered nicely from her earlier abuse so I did a major defoliation to open up the secondary nodes. I left the lowest sugar leaves, but removed all but the top 2 sugar leaves. This opened up the canopy to a lot more light. 2. I let her recover and topped and started training her yesterday. I pruned the bottom 2 nodes then topped the plant so that I would have 6 nodes total. I'll train those nodes in a compass pattern. 3. I'm still working on a fertigating schedule. Based on previous grows, I figure she will want about 1g every 2-3rd day.

1. Huge growth this week. This is the 2nd time I've had to defoliate! 2. I provided pictures of pre- and post- defoliation. 3. Once I defoliated, I redid my LST to get the nodes to grow more horizontal. I'm hoping the canopy will even out and the bud-sites will be all about even when its time to flip her to flower.

1. I've just about got PC trained to where I want her. I have the 4 top bud stalks to train down then the entire canopy will be pretty much even. It won't be perfect, but once they finish their stretch, it will be just what I want. 2. She is getting her full 1 gallon of water+nutrients, but I'm only fertigating about every 6 days. I'm hoping her roots and growth develops enough so that she needs water and nutrients about every 3-4 days. 3. I'm thinking that PC will be ready to flip to flower in about 2 weeks. Once she is trained, I'd like to give her some time to just grow big and healthy.

1. This is the final week before I flip the tent to 12/12. I left PC alone for the whole week. I stopped training the branches and let her just bush out a bit. I provided "before" pictures. 2. Today I gave her a good fertigation and trimmed all of the fan leaves that were blocking bud sites. This will be the last defoliation/pruning until a few weeks into flower. 3. I'll give here 1 more fertigation early this week then give the tent a dark period to reset her internal clock. I'm going to give some extra dark time as I need to have the lights on at night due to the cold weather. Currently they go on early in the morning at go off around 2-3AM.

1. PC has been flipped to flower! I'll keep the journal as vegetation until I see some pre-flowering pistils forming. 2. I will continue to use veg. nutes for the next few waterings. She will need the Nitrogen for the "stretch". 3. I did a major defoliation last week and a minor one just before flipping the tent to 12/12. I won't touch them again until they are done stretching. Then i will prune the bottom popcorn buds and defoliate to allow maximum light penetration.

1. This is one beautiful plant. I don't know what kind've flowers she will produce, but she is really healthy and lush. I can't hardly wait! 2. She has stretched a bit, but not that much. Mostly the bud stalks have gotten longer. I have 3 primary bud stalks forming, and another 3-6 secondary around the perimeter of the plant. 3. Right now she is a leafy mess. Once she is seriously developing her flowers, I'll defoliate a lot of the growth and prune back the under canopy so the popcorn bud sites are gone.

1. I'm really liking the looks of this strain. The leaves are kinda squat, like an indica. A lot of my grows, the leaves elongate quite a bit during flowering. This strain has kept its leaf structure. 2. I've switched to flowering nutes. 3. I've been doing daily defoliations of the bigger fan leaves that are shading the bud sites. There was a lot of growth since I didn't do any pruning, training, or defoliation while she finished her transition to flower. I trim off about 10 leaves a day. I've also started to prune the lower canopy, so she can focus her energy on the top of the plant. Once I'm done, I'll do light defoliation and pruning as needed.

1. 3rd week of flower so I've been doing a bit of defoliation most days. I take about 10 fan leaves off every few days. Those big fat leaves really shade those developing bud sites! 2. I've done some minor pruning of the under canopy and a few popcorn bud areas. This week I'd like to finish pruning so I don't have to cut off any lower branches when the buds are really developed. 3. The same is true for defoliation. I'm going to finish defoliating and opening bud sites then I'll pretty much leave her alone until closer to harvest.

1. This grow is going most excellent! Buds are coming in nicely. I have 3 primary bud stalks that are look really promising. I really like how the leaf structure has maintained it's rounded shape in flowering. Strong genetics there. 2. I spent the week trimming shade leaves and pruning the small popcorn branches under the canopy. I've read/seen information recommending cleaning out the bottom third of the plant's lower canopy. I've pretty much used that reference for a few years now. I've found that I end up with a lot more primary and secondary buds, and not a lot of popcorn. Sometimes I get a little too zealous and cut off too much. The top buds look great, but there isn't much after that. I'm trying to find a nice balance. 3. No change in nutes. I think I'm about mid-way through flowering. I expect another 4 weeks or so. I'll start tapering the Cal/Mag in 2 weeks and stop all nutes for the last 2 weeks.

1. Not a ton to report this week. Buds are filling in nicely. There aren't any areas of concern that I have for the health of the plant, and she is on a nice fertigation schedule. 2. I did some final defoliation and pruning this week. I'll pretty much let her go for the rest of the grow. I'll chop off any leaves that are shading bud sites, but otherwise I'm just letting her do her thing. 3. I figure I'm about half way through flowering. I'll feed, using my current schedule, for the next few weeks then start to taper my feeding. I won't use any nutes for the last 2 weeks. That's my version of flushing.

1. She is starting to get frosty and very, very sticky! My hands and scissors are just tacky as hell when I work on this plant. Her aroma is fantastic as well. It's most prominent when I fertigate, or trim off shade leaves. 2. I've started to taper back Cal/Mag. I've reduced the amount from 8ml/g to 5ml/g. I'll stop Cal/Mag and reduce all nutes to 5ml/g in a week or so, depending on the maturity of the plant.

1. We are nearing the home stretch. Buds are getting really thick and frosty! 2. The aroma is fantastic whenever I have to water or do any spot defoliation. 3. I'm in the final stage of flowering nutes. I've stopped using Cal/Mag and I've reduced the other nutes from 8ml/g-5ml/g. I'll do this for the next 3 feedings then it will be filtered water until harvest. 4. Based on the trichomes, pistils, and fading of the fan leaves, I put harvest in about 3 weeks.

1. The end is near. Harvest scissors are whispering in the wind. 2. PC is really starting to plump up and smell lovely. Pistils have receded and sugar/fan leaves are starting to fade away. Trichomes are mostly cloudy. I haven't seen any amber ones yet. 3. That leads me to believe that harvest will probably be next week. I'll probably water once more later this week then harvest early next week.

1. PC is fading nicely. I've been defoliating slowly as it gets closer to harvest day. I've also been checking trichomes every day as well. I started seeing the first amber ones late last week, so..... 2. This is the week! I watered her for the last time on Saturday with filtered water. I'd usually water on Wednesday, so I'll skip that and harvest on Thursday or Friday.

This was a nice grow. I'd like to try this strain again in the spring and see how it reacts to warmer temperatures. It would get in the mid-high 60's at night. I'm sure that affected growth somewhat. This strain was pretty robust. I was able to dial the intensity on my QB to full strength. Up until now, I've had to dial the light back abit. Overall a keeper.
