Hi everyone! Hope you are doing just fine! Update on this week: The plants have been transplanted into 13l pots after started to be root bound. Still getting used to coco, feeding with ph regulated water every 3 days now, seems to be the best solution. Pots have been filled with 70% organic coco, 20% organic red worm casting compost and 10% perlite. Also, from my local store i added 50g of Ogranic fertilizer (with a similar composition as rqs organic grow pellets),its 5:3:3 NPK with 9% Mg and 3% Ca with mycorrhiza and 0.6 % leonardite. Also buffered the coco with a 5% CalMag solution. The smallest plant had some overwatering issues, simply didnt water it for 2 days and poke small holes with a chopstick in the soil to give it some oxygen. White tip was gone when i regulated the ph. The biggest plant is a random seed friend gave me,growing pretty fast, just hope it is female or else chop chop. Transplanted them yesterday, seem to do just fine, but wont know until few days pass by. Next step will be a fan to reduce the moisture of the room, because it varies 50-69% at a time. If you guys/gals have any suggestions, please, feel free :) Happy growing everyone!

Im using spring water from a mountain near by,but it is pretty acid (~4.8 ph). Could that be the reason my plants have white tips and a spot on the leaf? Or could it be the height of the light? I will raise the ph to about 5.5-6.2 ,so hope for better results. Thank you :)

You might've answered your own question...only thing you can do is try to raise the pH of your water, also your soil looks a little too moist👊👌

Well, another week, another problem... Would you say this is a cal/mag issue? The brown spots? It just isnt going easy for me... I have a powdered calmag, says it is best to do a 10% solution with water, 9% Ca and 6% Mg is the composition.

leave the cal mag alone for now. start feeding your plant(s) when they are at the 4th week mark. start with a small amount of nutrients then. if the label says use this much then you would use less then what the label says.. right now though i would suggest using a spray bottle with distilled water to use as a spray, once a day right before your lights go out. this will help your young plant. also just use a bit more water. if you can add some nutrients for the roots at the young age to get those roots growing. i use a clonex mix, 1tbl spoon per gallon and i use this when the plants are young, it is in the water and i use it each time, i want to grow the roots just as much as i want to grow the top. if your roots are happy and your top is happy you will be almost guaranteed a good harvest. your on the right track though and you are doing good, so if you have other questions ill be glad to help you out

Definitely the best community Forsure! Way more helpful than reddit or any other cannabis based forum I’ve been on. I haven’t dealt with a single person on here that is hostile like on other sites. It’s a really peaceful and helpful community which is what I’m all about! Glad to have you on here!

Calcium or potassium deficiency, might've had a lockout from you pH problem if I remember correctly. If you got it under control, continue on regular feeding schedule. Do not overfeed 👍🤞👊

And also maybe too much worm casting , no soil in your mixture. So you don’t have a ph buffer and nutrient storage

I’ve read how you do the soil in your diary and I think you have done it wrong. Is too much coco, so you have to deal with a coco substrate , i think is a calmag def due to this factor ( the 70% coco substate) .

I would say that is a tad bit of light burn if it’s only on the upper leaves of the plant, and maybe a bit to much nutrients if your seeing it all over the plant. But if it’s just a few leaves near the top then raise your light a bit maybe. Cheers💨

If your growing in soil like your diary says, your ph is set for soiless, not soil. 6.7 to 6.8 ph for flowering mode. 6.3 for veg mode. Cheers

Could anyone confirm if this is a problem or normal, some of my buds hair started to go amber,is it due to light shortage? I had few days of 8-9-10h of light because of problems with my installations...

3 weeks in flower it is rare for it to be a genetic trait, the usual reason I see this is if a plant has released pollen due to stress or just hemi prone. I would go over the plant thoroughly to check for any male parts or even nannas. Hopefully you don’t find any. Other reasons for reddening of pistols can be wind burn or they have been man handled etc. Hope this helps👍

Plants are looking very healthy!! as for a drip system to keep it going while youre gone - get a big resevoir with an air stone to keep the solution oxidized, place it at a high place above the pots and connect a timed valve (usually found in garden stores/greenhouses/online) that switches according to your watering needs! from the valve spread a drip system across your plants. With big enough resevoir you can keep it going for more than two weeks without maintaining it! Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

With the issues you keep getting and with you using mainly Coco in your mix I recommend flushing the plants for a few days at a PH level of 5.8 - 6 When you do start to give them food give the medium a very light watering with Just PH water and calmag before you give them there food, COCO tends to steal the calmag not leaving enough for the plants to take so by dampening the water with a cal mag feed first allows your plant to get the full dose from your feed. (Its hard for them to Overdose on Calmag so your safe) You say your using strips to test Ph I recommend getting yourself a soil and water PH meter, you can pick a pack that contains both from amazon for arround £25. Try adding some Co2 into the room and my checking drainage holes are big enough that may also help + with you running LED try bump up the Temps to arround 26-28°C as they dont produce slot of heat and you want the leaf surface area to be arround 24°C other than that it looks great

Hey friend. Thought I would answer your question properly. The reason pistols turn colour to early it's because of feeding to high. I dont like to see pistols turning red or brown until the 5th to 6th week in actual flower. From your diary if your running 5.8 ph that is for soiless grows. Dirt grows in veg is 6.3 ph and flower is around 6.5ph. Flower nutes are also stronger so if you keep overfeeding your going to end up with some pretty small bud. Check your runoff ph and ec, get them to proper levels for dirt grow. Cheers

@JustARegularEveryDayNormalMF, 6.2 to 6.3 ph in coco. Not a problem my friend. If you need anymore help I'm usually on in the morning for an hour.

JustARegularEveryDayNormalMFcommented4 years ago
@GMSgrows, hello! Thank you for your reply! My growing medium is coco,do you maybe know the right ph for flowering? I try to keep it around 6.0 all of the time. Also, from one of the comments, wind burn could also be a possible factor because of the desk fan, although i try to set it so it doesnt shake leaves too much.... :( The label of my feeding nute is saying 250g per 50l of soil, but it states that it can also be used in water. So i figured 5g per liter of water? But it still doesnt dissolve fully... (granulated...) I will try to reduce it a bit,to see the reaction. Thank you soo much! Cheers

Don't harvest for another few weeks bro 👍 I looked at other diaries and the average is 15 weeks. Plus your buds look nowhere near done. Be patient and the better it'll be👌👊🤘
