Exp0-Outdoor October 2020

Taito After germinating the 2 seeds, I have transferred them to 11L pots from Royal Queen Seeds with BIOBIZZ ALL-MIX substrate at a pH of 6.5. I've had the substrate inside the pots for a couple of days airing out on my balcony, and when it was time to put the seedlings in, I lightly moistened the substrate with a spray bottle. I hope this step didn't cause a "shock" to the little ones and that they continue to grow without too many problems 🙏 I'm aware that I've allocated "quite a bit" of resources to these plants considering the adverse conditions they'll be exposed to, but I want to stay optimistic and keep learning about the wonderful art of cultivating this fantastic plant. I'll keep uploading photos of how the plants evolve during this first week (as long as they don't die or I don't "kill" them with my rookie mistakes).

Taito 04/11/2020 - They are starting their first day of the second week. I have to say that for this time of year in this area, the plants have enjoyed extraordinary weather during this first week; lots of sun and mild temperatures. But it seems that this second week starting will not have this fantastic weather as temperature drops and rain are forecasted. To be more specific, today is a completely cloudy and rainy day. The plants are receiving about 7 hours of light a day, but this amount of light will decrease day by day 😵. I have been watering them very moderately and I don't plan to fertilize them until the third week depending on their growth. I don't think I can be very optimistic about this crop, but it will be a pleasure to work day by day to provide them with the best conditions and care. Just like in the first week, I will try to upload photos of the 2 little ones every day to see how they evolve every 24 hours. 06/11/2020 - This week the weather is not cooperating (low temperatures, clouds, wind, and rain); I will consider this week a bit of a loss. The plants seem to evolve very little from one day to the next but they seem to be in good shape. I haven't watered them again and I think the weekend will pass without doing so. I should mention that these days they have been behind the windows. I hope the weather improves and they can recover this "lost time" 😏 08/11/2020 - The sun finally came out!! 😎 I have propped up one of the plants so it doesn't fall over with the wind. Due to the cloudy and rainy days, the plants have stretched more than desired (but nothing that can't be fixed). Happy with the good weather and let's see if they recover the "lost days" (I have slightly moistened the substrate since it had been days since I "watered" them). Let's keep going!! 💪 10/11/2020 - Last day of their second week. It seems they haven't grown much (the weather hasn't helped) compared to the first week; but they look healthy and happy in the sun. Let's hope that in this third week the changes are more evident. When the sun sets, I will apply a little preventive against fungi, thrips... (foliar application). Happy to see that despite it being November, the plants are still there! 😅 On to the third week ✊

Taito 11/11/2020 - First day of their 3rd week and it couldn't start better. A blazing sun, mild temperature, and a similar forecast for the rest of the week😎 I haven't watered again; I'll wait 1 or 2 more days before doing so. If the plants show good progress this week, I'll start giving them nutrients (without stressing them). I've propped up one of the 2 plants so it doesn't fall over with the wind, waiting for them to get stronger. I'm very optimistic about this third week. I'll keep posting photos every 24 hours as long as I can to see how the little ones evolve. 12/11/2020 - Second day of the third week. On the Purple Queen Nº2 plant, you can see small burns on the tip and side of one of the leaves 😩 (it's visible in the photos). I don't know the reason since I haven't fertilized or watered or moistened them at any time; it's true that the substrate is All-Mix from BioBizz, but I don't think that's the issue (it should happen to both plants). The only thing I can think of is that the neighbor from the balcony above hung out laundry and it might have splashed the plant, creating a magnifying effect and burning it... I honestly don't know what to think.😞 Today should have been a bright day according to the weather forecast, but it hasn't been... Another cloudy day for them and very slow growth on their part. I'm putting yesterday's optimism back in the drawer and crossing my fingers that my 2 plants stay alive. 13/11/2020 - We're still having a cloudy day, and every day it gets harder for the temperatures to rise. Another unproductive day for the plants. They still aren't showing significant changes, and their progress is very slow for being in the third week (I guess I must have made some mistake😰). It's been many days since I last watered them, but 4 cm from the top layer of the soil is still moist. Tomorrow I'll water them and try fertilizing with growth fertilizer to see how the plants react. I'm open and grateful for any advice, friends ✊ 14/11/2020 - Sunny day and very pleasant temperature. Today I watered/moistened the plants with organic growth fertilizer Biocanabium (0.5ml/L) to see if they perk up in their growth, as they have at most a couple of weeks left before starting to flower. Let's keep going! 15/11/2020 - Another good day for them! Sunny day and mild temperatures. It seems they're getting a good growth rhythm in this third week (let's hope they keep it up). If I see they're still responding well to their growth, I'll fertilize again (up to 2 times a week). The dose I used was ¼ of what the manufacturer indicated, and I'll repeat this dose for the second application as well. Let's keep going!! 16/11/2020 - Today started off cloudy but cleared up, and the sun finally came out again. We're still having mild temperatures. It looks like it will be another productive day for the plants. They continue to look healthy and vibrant. They're still growing little by little for now. I'll wait to water again for one more day. Tomorrow will be the last day of their third week. 17/11/2020 - One more day and no changes. I finally watered the plants a bit. A partly cloudy day and not very productive for the plants. Let's see what happens next week 😅

Taito 18/11/2020 - First day of the fourth week. Sunny day but the temperatures are already struggling to rise and drop quickly in the afternoons. Each day a little less light😅. I’ll wait a couple of days to water and I’ll add some organic growth fertilizer to see how it goes. I sprayed eco-friendly repellent "Faculty Killer" to prevent miners from settling on the little plants (in the first photo you can see one of them attacking a plant😌). Let's hope that's all it is🤞. Overall, and to be honest, I think it will be very difficult to get this crop going... but I won’t stop insisting on them💪✊. 19/11/2020 - Another wonderful day in terms of temperature and sun. Starting tomorrow, temperatures will drop significantly and it seems they will stay that way until winter arrives. In any case, the plants are enjoying their day today and everything seems to be going well. Let's hope it continues this way🙏. 20/11/2020 - Well, third day of the week and this keeps moving forward. Today temperatures have dropped below 15C and the plants have spent the day behind the windows. It was a sunny day but with cold compared to the past few days. The plants are still doing well and seem happy😊. I still haven’t watered. Maybe tomorrow, but I think I won’t wet the substrate again until Sunday✊. 21/11/2020 - Another day and another nice sunny day for them. Much colder than throughout the month, but I think this sunny autumn day has been beneficial for them. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the plants evolve this week (I think it will be quite decisive). I still haven’t watered (I’ll do it tomorrow or Monday with a bit of growth fertilizer). Going for it✊. 22/11/2020 - Another day, they seem to be growing at a good pace now. Let’s keep it going😏. Tomorrow night I’ll water with a bit of organic growth fertilizer. Here’s to another day💪. 23/11/2020 - Another day for them. They keep growing, step by step and steadily... keeping an eye out for the first signs of flowering (not yet). The plants are spending these cold days behind the windows. I haven’t watered them after all, the soil is still moist. 24/11/2020 - Today I watered them with growth fertilizer (1ml/L). Let’s see if they make a good push before starting to flower. I insist, considering the time of year and the few hours of light they have... the plants look healthy and vibrant (I hope they stay that way until the end). Wish me luck😉.

Taito 25-11-2020 - First day of the fifth week. They continue to grow discreetly but steadily. I'm waiting for them to start showing the first signs of flowering. The rain keeps coming... so they’re spending hours behind the windows, sheltered from the cold and wind. Here’s to another day, mates 💪 26-11-2020 - Second day of the fifth week, still dealing with rain and bad weather. They’re still behind the windows with only a few hours of light... but they’re growing at a good pace. 27-11-2020 - Third day and it’s still raining, and they’re still behind the windows... Happy to see that the bad weather isn’t stopping them from growing, even though yellow spots have appeared on their first leaves. In the next watering, I’ll start with the flowering nutrients. Feeling optimistic seeing how well they’re growing despite being planted at this time 😎 28-11-2020 - Fourth day and I’m detecting problems. They look good, but their first 2 leaves have turned gray and yellow, and I have no idea what it could be. Tomorrow I’ll water them and see how they do and if the "disease" progresses. Here’s to another day 🤜 29-11-2020 - One more day and it seems they’re doing well despite the gray and yellow spots on their first 2 leaves. Last night I applied organic fungicide (Faculty Killer) to see if I can improve the spots that have appeared on them. I still don’t see signs of flowering and I haven’t watered them (the last time I watered was last Wednesday with 1 ml/L of growth nutrients). I’ll wait until the soil is well dry to water again. 🙂 30-11-2020 - The sun came out again today and they’ve had their 7 hours of light. I’ll wait until tomorrow to water again. We’re in their fifth week and there are still no signs of flowering (I’m happy because it gives them more time to grow; but I’m worried since they should have shown signs of flowering this week). Tomorrow is the last day of their 5th week. In summary, I think it’s a miracle that the plants are still alive under these conditions. Very happy with this strain from RQS 🤜 1-12-2020 - The clouds are back and temperatures are dropping. The plants will spend another day behind the windows. It seems that Purple Queen Auto 2, the new leaves that are sprouting, are suffering from some problem... I hope it’s not serious and they stay alive. Today, the last day of their 5th week, I watered them a little (100ml per plant). Looking forward to seeing if they stretch in their sixth week.

Taito 2/12/2020 - First day of their sixth week. They should have already shown signs of flowering, but that’s not the case. I guess it’s due to the “bad” conditions the plants are exposed to (low temperatures and lack of light hours) and not because of this fantastic strain from RQS. In any case, I will continue to take care of them with the utmost care I can give them at this time of year. Happy to share my experience with all of you during this time ✊ 3/12/2020 - Second day of the sixth week and it seems like everything is still the same. The upper leaves and those between branches seem to be progressing, but at a turtle's pace. The plants seem to be doing well considering they are spending the day behind the window again. It’s 11C and there’s quite a cold wind with not a hint of sunshine. I watered them adding organic growth fertilizer (1ml/L). We’ll keep our fingers crossed🙏 4/12/2020 - Purple Queen Auto 1 has shown its first signs of flowering today 😍 In the next watering, I will add organic flowering fertilizer Biocanabium. I hope that in the days leading up to watering them, Purple Queen Auto 2 also shows its first signs of flowering. I’m happy for them 💪 5/12/2020 - It seems that Purple Queen Auto No. 2 heard the plea to start showing signs of flowering and so it has been. Officially both plants have entered their flowering period. The only thing that worries me is how small they are and the little development they’ve had in about 5 and a half weeks of the vegetative period. I’ll be keeping an eye on how they perform during flowering. I’m satisfied for now, given the temperatures and the few hours of light they receive. 😊 6/12/2020 - Today I discovered the substrate fungus gnat in my plants (this would be a good reason to explain their slow and weak growth up to now). I also identified the beginnings of Botrytis on a leaf and stem of Purple Queen No. 1; so I immediately sprayed both plants with organic fungicide (Faculty Killer). I was really discouraged after this discovery, but it won’t make me give up on my goal… Learning for the next grow ✊ 7/12/2020 - Everything is still the same, very small plants and I’ve decided to apply organic fungicide every 2 days to prevent the fungal outbreaks that were identified yesterday. The plants are spending most of the day inside next to the windows since the weather isn’t good. I’m still not watering, I probably won’t do it again until Wednesday. I don’t expect even 0.5g from each of these plants; if they survive, I’ll be satisfied. 8/12/2020 - Last day of their sixth week and it seems like the plants are frozen in time. Today I will spray the fungicide again to prevent new fungal outbreaks on the leaves. The substrate is still a bit damp about 4 cm from the surface so I’ll wait until tomorrow to water again; maybe I’ll add organic flowering fertilizer Biocanabium (2.5ml/L). On to the seventh week ✊

Taito 09/12/2020 - First day of their seventh week and flowering (although the first signs of flowering appeared halfway through their sixth week). I watered each plant with 500ml of water and added 2.5ml/l of organic flowering fertilizer. It seems that the buds between the branches are slowly growing. Looking forward to seeing what this strain can do in such tough growing conditions 💪✊ 10/12/2020 - Second day of their seventh week. It seems that Purple Queen Auto 2 has some mutations in its new buds. Let's hope it continues to grow well. As for the fungus buds, it seems to be under control, but I will apply organic fungicide again tomorrow.✊ 11/12/2020 - A very windy day and although the temperature has risen by 2 degrees, the plants have stayed behind the windows like they have for practically the last few weeks. I'm still seeing the substrate mosquito in Purple Queen Auto 2. Tomorrow I will spray fungicide to continue preventing the appearance of fungi. 12/12/2020 - The plants seem to be growing a bit faster. Purple Queen Auto 1 is starting to flower quickly and looks good (considering the few hours of light they have received). Purple Queen Auto 2 is growing a bit slower than its companion. Today I sprayed organic fungicide (Faculty Killer). For now, not much more. Just staying patient 😬 13/12/2020 - Another day in their seventh week and it seems they are on a good pace in their early stages of flowering. I'm quite encouraged seeing how well they are reacting in their flowering considering all the difficulties these wonderful RQS strains are exposed to. I will wait until tomorrow to water them again with organic flowering fertilizer. Overall, I think they are responding well to my novice care. 14/12/2020 - The plants are still behind the windows, a completely cloudy week is expected but without very low temperatures (the wind continues). Today I watered them adding 2.5ml/L of organic flowering fertilizer. Looking forward to seeing how they evolve this coming week.

Taito 16/12/2020 - First day of the eighth week of life. They continue to grow in height and it seems that little by little the flowers are starting to form. Purple Queen Automatic 2 is at a different pace, but the substrate mosquito persists and I don't think that helps its development much. In short, I don't expect to get nice flowers; rather, I think I’ll end up with a few popcorn buds. It's a shame for this wonderful strain from RQS. We keep learning 🤜 19/12/2020 - I will finally wait to water with fertilizer tomorrow. About 5 centimeters from the surface, they are still somewhat moist. The 2 plants remain the same and are approaching the midpoint of the flowering stage. It can be observed that they will not develop large flowers; but the grow will have been worth the effort, even if it's just for having been distracted by them in a time that is not ideal for planting outdoors.

Taito 23/12/2020 - We are now in their third week of flowering and ninth week for them. They look good considering the few hours of light they are getting for flowering. It's true that there aren't many flowers, but it seems like the few that are there are growing at a good pace. Looking forward to seeing how far this strain can go in such tough conditions ✊

Taito 30/12/2020 - First day of their tenth week of life and fourth week of flowering. They have spent this week indoors and close to the windows since I haven't been home these holiday days. Today I watered them after a week without doing so and added 2.5ml/L of organic flowering fertilizer. Even with the lack of hours of light, it seems they are doing well and continue to increase their flowers. Very happy with them, to be honest!✊ 02/01/2021 - They keep growing and fattening their flowers, although it seems that Purple Queen Auto 2 is a bit behind Purple Queen Auto 1. In any case, at the end of this 10th week, I will start giving organic bud booster to the plants to see how they respond✊ 03/01/2021 - No changes for today. Just reporting that I watered them adding fertilizer for bud fattening (1.2ml/L).

Taito 07/01/2021 - We are now in their 11th week of life and fifth week of flowering. Both plants are slowly fattening their little buds a bit more each day. With each passing day, their smell is becoming more intense and pleasant. I will harvest very little from them, but I hope their buds will be very tasty. Thanks for stopping by ✊ 09/01/2021 - Today I watered again, administering Biocanabium Organic flowering fertilizer (2.5ml / L). The plants continue to slowly fatten their little buds. Their smell is more intense and pleasant every day.

Taito I haven't been able to keep up with this 12-week follow-up due to personal issues that have now been resolved. During this week, when they were watered, I added 1ml/L of organic fertilizer for bud fattening. Sorry for the inconvenience and the few attached photos.😅

Taito 22/1/2021 - This week I've continued feeding the plants with organic bud fattening fertilizer at a rate of 1ml/L. By the end of this week, I will stop fertilizing and will only water with water. I'm really going to get very few grams from this "harvest" due to the lack of light, low temperatures, and generally very harsh and variable conditions. But I'm very satisfied with the result of this wonderful auto strain from RQS. Can't wait to replant it in optimal conditions ✊

Taito 27/1/2021 - First day of week 14 for the plants. I will continue giving fertilizer for bud fattening for 1 or 2 more weeks depending on their progress. It seems like there are still 3-4 weeks left until harvest. These plants are taking longer than expected (growth and flowering), but I understand that their unusual behavior is due to the poor and variable growing conditions they have suffered and continue to suffer. Looking forward to harvesting and starting a new grow; this time it will be an indoor grow. Thanks for stopping by here 😉

Taito 03/02/2021 - Week 15 of the two queens. They keep fattening up and maturing their buds little by little (I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised) 😀 In Purple Queen Auto 1, you can see a bit of purple color. This week will be the last one in which I’ll keep giving fertilizer for bud fattening. Looking forward to harvesting these two little plants 😁

Taito 10/02/2021 - First day of their 16th week. Starting this week, I will only water them with water so I can harvest in 2 or at most 3 weeks. I am really satisfied with the result of this strain considering the bad growing conditions they have been subjected to. Pleasantly surprised and grateful. Can't wait to harvest 😅

Taito 17/02/2021 - Second day of week 17. I know the timing of these plants is really crazy for being autos... I can only justify it by the very variable and bad conditions they have been exposed to. I’m only watering with water during weeks 16 and 17. I would like to harvest them next Sunday. What do you think? Thank you very much for stopping by.

Taito Well, I finally decided to harvest today, 02/28/2021 (I could have waited another week for sure, but this is what I decided). Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by the result of this strain considering the experiment I did with it (growing in winter and some terrible light conditions). They also suffered from substrate fungus attacks, which made them grow very slowly. The timing of the plants has been greatly delayed compared to what the producer indicated, but I understand that it's due to the poor conditions they have been exposed to. I didn't expect to get more than 3g dry from the 2 plants, and I have been very pleasantly surprised (I think I'll get around 10g dry). I know it's still very little, but I really expected very little from them given how they suffered from my bad growing practices and the poor conditions that accompanied them throughout the grow.
