Plants transplanted on D1 and grew rapidly throughout the week. Started with 4 to 5 nodes at beginning of the week. BY end of the week had approximately 6 to 8 nodes

Plants were topped midway through the week when they had reached 8ish nodes. Plants were only topped in this week. A first layer of netting was also added to the plants and a heavy defoliation/prune occured to remove all bottom branches. Defoliation continue throughout the canopy to increase airflow, reduce light competition and increase canopy evenness.

Vegetative week prior to triggering (Lasted about 10 to 11 days due to technical issues with light). Light defoliation during this week, no topping. Some pruning of the bottom branches again to focus energy into top colas. Fertigation strength increased due to plants taking up more water than nutrients and EC rising naturally within the resevoir. Plants took up more water than nutrients for first half of week, then in second half of week plants took up higher EC as issues with light were figured out and light intensity increased. Training through plastic mesh continued throughout week.

Increase in EC from 1.6 to 1.8 along with a change in fertilizer to GH MaxiBloom. Change in fertilizer made for convenience and to trial a new fertilizer in early bloom. Multiple issues with LED fixture. In particular, white diodes continue to fail and very uneven lighting across canopy. Resulting in plants on right half of tent receiving 1100 to 1400 micromoles while the left side received significantly less. A second trellis was added this week and no defoliation events occured.

Light intensity issues remained with the light in this week as previously described. No defoliation events occurred, the reservoir was cleaned out and topped up with the same rate of MaxiBloom. Plants took up more water than nutrients throughout the week causing the EC to increase to approximately 2.0 in the reservoir, though it did not get above 2.0 EC throughout the week. Pour Through: 2.0 EC and 5.8 pH within the substrate

During this week, issues with the light were resolved and lighting over the canopy became much more uniform. The light was able to function at maximum capacity for 4 to 5 days throughout this week which resulted in an increase in temperature (fixture outputs large quantities of heat) during both day and night. Light intensities ranged from 400 to 1400 micromoles due to poor light design which resulted in uneven intensities across the canopy. However, the increase in light prevented a buildup of salts in the reservoir as the EC remained the same throughout the week. The plants absorbed greater amounts of nutrients to go along with increased water uptake. Plants grew rapidly during the week in height, number of nodes flowering and overall foliage. Thus, nutrient levels in the reservoir were increased to accommodate this. At end of week, a very large number of leaves were defoliated resulting in an almost lollipop look. Numerous smaller branches were also pruned away to remove larfy buds and focus energy into crown growth. Plants responded very well to all defoliation events up to this point and rapidly recovered within 1 to 2 days by showing increased growth. This was the last week of MaxiBloom fertilizer, and the only week where the light worked correctly.

During this week, the light stopped working correctly and was changed out. Subsequently, the fixture was swapped out with another at the beginning of week 5 of flowering. The reservoir was emptied, cleaned and filled with a custom blend of FloraPro nutrients to achieve an EC of 1.6 to 1.8. An additional fan was installed and both were repositioned to assist with airflow. No additional work was completed.

Pour Through Results: 2.0 EC and 6.4 pH Reservoir topped up to reduce the EC down to 1.4. Leaves still extremely green with some drooping tips (Either wind burn, excess nitrogen or over irrigation). Plants not using water evenly and are not the same weight partway through dry down period. Possibility of reducing irrigation by one event, or reducing time if final event discussed but not implemented. 3rd trellis layer not required this week, will be required next week as flowers begin to bulk up.

No cultivation activities performed during the week. Defoliation occurred sometime between week 6 and 7 with the additional layer of netting being put up at the same time.
