Northern Light Automatic (Grow 23)

Bluemels All 3 seeds have germinated after 4 days at 25°C. I decided on the strongest seedling today.

Bluemels I've had stronger Autoflowering before. Let's see how it develops further.

Bluemels The Northern Light has grown enormously; since yesterday, it has been in the flowering stage. Today, I topped it with 5 nodes. On day 22, I started LST training, and I also removed the sun leaves. It reacted shortly after with drooping leaves, a protective function because the sun leaves are missing to shade the young shoots. That's why I increased the distance to the lamp to reduce stress. Starting on day 26, I began to scrog the Northern Light. I also trimmed the plant a bit more and set up the net. Let's see if it recovers as quickly this time as well.

Bluemels I hope the plant stretches a bit more; so far, the branches are really close together. I check daily to make sure all the tops are getting light.

Bluemels I'm still using the stretch to SCROG the Northern Light. However, the buds are getting sticky, and then I won't be bending the plant anymore. The light and targeted defoliation has led to even more leaves. I might do a bit more defoliation when the time is right.

Bluemels The Northern Light is very consistent when it comes to water needs. Every other day 2L. So far, it shows no signs of being done. I think the topping and LST training is making it take longer. The smell is still quite mild. But from day 45, the smell became noticeably stronger and is getting more intense 💗

Bluemels The little one is doing surprisingly well and still wants to be watered every 2 days. Now the buds are also starting to spread out. The smell is sweet and aromatic, reminds me of the Critical. I'm guessing she'll be ready for harvest in 2 to 3 weeks.

Bluemels Since yesterday, I've only been watering the Northern Light Automatic with water without any nutrients. The leaves are getting lighter day by day, and more and more pistils are turning brown. It smells sweet and aromatic. I should be able to harvest in about 1 1/2 weeks. 😁

Bluemels In 2 days I will harvest! 😎 Overall, I am very satisfied with the grow; it was my first attempt at topping, scrogging, and bending an autoflower. The Northern Lights is a robust plant that recovers well from such interventions under optimal conditions. It has turned very yellow in the last few days and only needs water every 3 days now. The smell is mildly sweet and aromatic.

Bluemels Growing is worth it, she handles topping, bending, and defoliating very well.
