I started this week out by getting all the equipment cleaned and ready to go. I took cuts approx a month ago. I put them in my EZ cloner with xlonex solution.
Three weeks later, they had rooted to the point I could transplant them into 3.5in square pots. I used to use solo cups, but I like these little squares alot more.
A little over a week in the 3.5 and roots are coming out the bottom! So into the freshly cleaned setup they go!
Here I've set up an ebb n flow pot system and went for total overkill with X9 five gallon pots.
This system was originally designed with the use of hydroton in mind, but I hate that stuff.
Instead I like to use Promix. It's like coco, but so far I haven't had to fight gnats and root aphids like I ALWAYS have to do with coco.
Since I will be using promix I really don't want granules of media clogging up my lines and pumps so we put the promix into fabrics pots and put those inside the 5 gallon squares to act as a filter.
The picture that you see from this week was taken about 5 minutes after everything was transplanted into the system.
