Soaked seeds 24 hours, then transferred to wet paper towel and placed inside a sealed zip lock bag for couple days until a 1-2" tap root shows. Then planted, sprouted within another day or two, 5-7 days total before my DAY 1 of veg image.
Base is my super soil mix of (roughly);
10 parts Organic potting soil,
4 parts Coco Fiber,
2 parts Worm Castings,
1 part Neem Seed Plant food mix,
and 1 part premium perlite.
LST tied main stem to further promote side branch growth. Filling in very nice side branches. Pistils on all side branches. Started flowering feed of Incredible Bulk Organic Bloom Booster (0.1-10-25) and Humboldt's Secret Sweet and Sticky additive. Will continue once weekly for three weeks then water only until last week before harvest.
Look forward to all the pre tops filling in, great side branches and canopy level is easy to maintain. Looks like about 8 solid tops working with a few bonus tops. 10" high, 16" wide, pistils starting to fill in. Growing strong and fast, excited to see how buds develop!
Tied one of the side branches down but for most part its wide on its own. Just did initial top tie in week 3 and that is it. 18" wide and 9" tall. Good 11 colas forming. Buds filling in as the week comes to an end. Top leaves clawing down, unsure why. will watch closely, plant next to her is same height and fine.
Entering the 4th week of flowering the leaves seem to be going a little lime in color. Will watch to make sure it does not go yellow. I also pollinate one side branch of the Jack Herer with some fresh pollen from my Durban Poison Male. Aim to get some small amount of seeds to go along with buds. The pollinated branch reacted right away and got orange overnight. Interesting and very cool to observe. Half way through flowering (roughly). Crazy to see how fast the seeds begin to develop. Very cool! 😎😎
Gave her some Cal-Mag, other then that flowering going nice and she is filling in. The pollinated branch is developing nice, and really interesting to see the difference between the pollinated compared to unpollinated. Looks like she will be another few weeks to finish.
Entering week 10 and she is still pretty fluffy pistils wise. Gradually fattening up and looks like she has a good two weeks left. Seeds developing nice. Noticed the pollinated bud produced trichome's shortly after being pollinated, quicker then the surrounding buds. Waiting for the other buds to ripen up. They are still filling in and getting bigger. Still easy couple weeks out.
Entering the 11th week and she is still filling in slowly but surely! I did some more LST to tie down some branches even further and open up the spacing between colas to allow light to get in to lower buds. I also did some defoliation as she is super bushy. This variety has been know to take a little longer to finish and she is right in line with that. I am honestly thinking another three weeks at least before harvest.
Week 12 kicking off and she is getting chunky still, will be another couple weeks before she is done. Definitely the higher yielding one of the two.
Coming up on the end of the 12th week and she is producing new bud sites still. I had to cut off a 6 inch side branch that grew in and started preflowering but was a small branch and would not have time to finish. Not sure what brought on the flower bursts, but she is chunky! And she smells like fruity pebbles so that is awesome!
Smells like fruity pebbles! She is flowering really strong, the flower stacker from Humboldt's is super legit and she is still producing new flowers. Chunky fruity smelling buds. The pollinated branch is great, pulled handful of seeds and they look great. Super excited for the super sativa mix of Jack Herer X Durban Poison. Flushing and will harvest her next weekend probably.
Cheers!
I love the strain and my first autoflower did not disappoint. She grew surprisingly bushy, and she really got chunky near the end! Super happy with how she turned out. The extra couple weeks really made a difference and she smells like fruity pebbles. Delicious! Hanging for 5-7 days before stored for curing.
Did final trim and storage for the buds, 50 gram dry weight total. They were more on the lighter side as far as density goes. But smell good and the high is great and was fun to grow! Was able to successfully breed her with a Durban Poison male and look forward to seeing the super sativa babies to come. All good things. Here is to the next round, cheers! 😎
