This is my second grow ever, thank you for joining along, and hopefully I can push out some high quality flower! Basic week, nothing much of interest to show other than babies. Seeds and rockwool soaked, germinated, and planted. Sprouted super quick, very healthy. Move on to future weeks for better pictures.
I haven't seen a space to add what kind of fan I'm using so I'll put it here in the first week. Using an AC Infinity T6 (6 Inch).
Enjoy some pictures of my father's harvest to spice up a rather dull weak in the diary. Strains featured are Blue Dream fem photo and MK Ultra fem photo.
Not much has changed. Steady growth, should start the mainlining process next week or so. Forgot to add calcium magnesium and suffering some nutrient deficiency, but it's an easy fix.
One of my favorite weeks in veg, a week I actually get to do something. Time to start the nebula manifold or aka mainline. topped at third growth node, cleared all growth below.
I added tomato cages to my buckets for structure support in the future. Finished my last toppings this week to further alter the plants shape how I would like. Much like a bonsai tree. Still LSTing with a meat skewer and bread ties to keep it nice and squat in my grow space.
Not much to add at this point, all the hands on work with the mainline method is done now. I will be omitting the rest of the veg weeks in the journal and skip to flowering, as I believe they are redundant and self explanatory each week. Just keeping them alive and fed lol.
Threw in a heavy defoliation of all the fattest fan leaves the week before the flip to flower. Opened up tons of room for light to penetrate to parts of the plant it couldn't get to before. The cages help move leaves out of the way without feeling the need to chop it to death on impulse.
Decided to make a homemade scrog addition to my tomato cages out of plant wire (only one so far). I also got a second light in the mail and chucked it in the closet. The spectrum is way more comfortable on my eyes and more lightweight than my Roleadro.
We made it to week three of flowering and progress is moving along steady. Throwing in some more nutrients today. Only been adding two gallons distilled water/nutrients per bucket each week because they aren't soaking up as much water as they will be in a couple weeks. Will up to three gallons week after next. Growth will explode then because that's the mark I change up nutrient levels from early bloom to mid bloom to push out those flowers we want. Keep following I expect some good results this harvest!
Canopy is beefing up again this week blocking light to bud spots. Since leaves don't grow in abundance anymore I have to be very selective with defoliation, because every leaf taken off is one less power source to the plant removed. I'm focusing defoliation around the tops of the plant in the center where huge fan leaves have grown, as well as the lower center of the plant. All other fan leaves on the outsides can be bent and moved out of the way. Buds are staying real healthy and growing steady. First month of flowering is down! Only two to go!
Loving the shape of my plants, and how easy it is to defoliate each branch because of it. Nebula mainline is by far my most favorite method, I feel I can maximize my yield despite having limited width/depth in my grow area. I can instead train them to grow perfectly in their own little area, and take up height in the tent for increased surface area, rather than bush outwards. I rotated the plants so the smaller one was under my stronger light, hopefully it will keep bud production as even across both plants as possible. Will rotate in about a week if needed.
Halfway there and I'm pretty satisfied so far. Excited for the final outcome and ready to try a new strain. I have no way of predicting my final weight, but I'm hoping for close to a half pound. We will just have to see in the next month or two. This is my second grow ever and both have been Amnesia Haze. I will be growing two strains at once next grow. One will be Cali Bay Dream, and the other, Monster Gelato. So stay tuned for the finale of this journal, I will be starting a new one soon after. Thanks for sticking around so far!
My bedroom is absolute stank from the grow closet. Terpene and trichome production is developing full force and it's very apparent in the air around them. Moving leaves out of the way to continue opening light when needed, no more defoliation at all at this point can't risk any stunting. I'm so beyond stoked for harvest and to begin the next grow. I took part in the seedsman Black Friday sale and got so many seeds/new strains I won't need to get anymore until well on into 2022!!

Slight defoliation on the smallest plant, working on the big one. Basically I've been cutting off old fan leaves towards the middle, the buds are fat enough now they don't need many fan leaves anymore. Doing so opened up some more light to the bottom which is always a plus. The plant is so sticky when I come from the top of the canopy, or even from the bottom, my whole forearm is coated in mildly fruity smelly trichomes. We are now in our last month of flowering and the nutrients have been kicked up to bloom these girls even more!
This strain will knock your socks off leaving you with a very potent high. The high resides mainly in the head with a slight Indica effect on the body to maximize experience. Best used during the day, but doubles as a night time, because why not? It lets you down easy regardless of what time you consume this strain so expect to get a little tired towards the comedown of your session. 8/10 due to other exotics blowing this one out of the water, however it's a very solid strain to start your growing journey with and it impressed every single one of my friends. I even earned the honor of being told by multiple people it was the best tasting and smelling bud they had ever had.
I'm super sorry for being late to post this ending to the journal. I enjoyed my crop a little too much it would seem. So I didn't get a huge yield at all this grow, but that was not due to the strain at all. It was due to me flipping to flower too early (a really big cold front came through and flipped my plants lol), harvesting a couple weeks too early, and also not taking off the proper sucker branches I should have! I ended up getting close to three ounces per plant, which is pretty bad for photoperiods. But I'm not worried about it because I know what caused this. All these mistakes will be corrected in the upcoming journal resulting in prettier more picture perfect colas. Wedding Cake and Orange Cookies x Nicole are germinating as I type. I produced the quality, now I need to work on producing the weight. This was by far some of the best bud I've had myself, and I'm excited to see how much better each grow gets going forward. I was able to improve my results by three ounces since my first grow (this is my second), I wonder what limits I can push if I stay focused. Only one way to find out, follow along to see future results!
Nice looking buds bud! I did the amnesia haze auto from ILGM and got some gorgeous purples towards the end of flower.. looks like you might be picking up some color on these too! Good luck
@Ezzjaybruh, thank you friend! It seems that in longer flowering times with Amnesia Haze and cooler temps (not too cold) brings out nice hues in the bud. I have been able to get nice violets as well as bluish forrest greens intermingled throughout. Just wait until my new diaries get started I have lots of good strains on deck I'll be moving forward with.
Congrats on those frosty buds. Happy smokes. Great yield as well. Keep up the amazing progress. Glad to hear each of your grows is gaining yields. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!!!!!
