DAY 61:
Moving ahead fine... cant say i really seen any growspurts for a while now, but i dare say the buds is fattening up day to day now.
Gorilla been a bit lighter green during entire growth, whilst the Gelato been keeping its steady dark shape even if i remove nitro or nutes all together... prolly time to test the run off water one of these days. Not had too many signs of burns, just a few tips.
Unfortunately i've been dealing with Thrips since i started basically, and i believe the neem oil has some impact on the actual growth. Done experiments with 2-3 week old plants, spraying neem. They both mutated in some degree. Its a nuisance, mostly.
Thats why defoliation has its perks.
Trichomes are going towards milky on Gelato, might give it a try to photo thru loupe.
I've been watering every second day, 0,4-0,7 per plant. Every third day or so, ill hit em with nutes, but pretty low doses. Also mix it up, maybe just give some organic nutes and enzymes to revatilize the soil.
Still figuring this out, bare with me... the photos, and what light conditions to give the most natural look :)
Hm... what else... seen that some write kinda of day-to-day notes on whats been going on, might be an idea.
DAY 64:
The gelato is so dense and covered in trichomes and resin that im starting to get a bit worried im gonna get bud rot. My first harvest got ruined by that, maybe a week before harvest... threw away 6 plants with good yield. Defoliated some more, to get some air in next to the stem. I must say, it looks like something i've never seen... buds look like they're covered in some sort of whiteish crust :)
Since a good part of the tips of sugarleaves have turned yellow and dryish, it could be a sign. But when it happened last time they came off real easy. Might just been classic burn, i know i went abit to close on light distance for a few days.
Going to get some closeups of the buds on Gelato.
Gorilla is going well, its been rather light green during the entire grow. Same with an Alaskan Purp thats from the same round... but no signs of deficiencies or such. Not much have happened really, these two might just be maturing up quicker than expected, i mean theres even some amber trichos on the lower buds on Gorilla.
@Fast_Buds, thank you. I'm real pleased with your genetics, its superior and the selection of new strains from the lab is quite intriguing, keep up the good work. Lets just say i wont be ordering from a certain man with Seeds ;)
Any specific tips in regards to your strains and what they generally thrive in? For example is the pH-recommendation somewhat higher than what i've used in prior grows. Corrected to around 6.5, as that seems to be the general consensus here :)
Stay tuned for Gorilla cookie, Rhino R, Green Crack, Orange Sher, Lemon pie.
