11/13 Seeds showed small tails after 36hrs in water and 12 on damp paper towel. Decided to plant all 4 at 5pm and gave them enough h2o to moisten the top layer. Lights on 20-4.... will moisten top soil before going to bed 11/18 3 of 4 seeds made it, 1 of the green crack seems to have shed its shell to early and didn’t really root, the other 3 are doing fine... 2 have already popped their first leaves while the 3rd is about to open up! Seedlings are beginning to take a little bit more amount of water 11/20 Week 1 coming to a close, the 3 left are looking good and healthy! The NL that is closer to the front is a little behind compared to the other NL and GC but nonetheless growing happily

11/21 Day 8 and all the plants are growing their second set of flowers. Watered 1/3 of each plants watering with HG nutrients, plants respond well to the nutes and growing well after the overnight. Will stick to on/off watering with nutes and plain pHd water 11/25 Plants are starting to produce 2nd/3rd set of leaves, green crack aid biggest while northern lights are the same-ish size. Adding nutrients to the water now but still not watering full gallon/week more like .5 gallon. Thinking normal watering of 1 gallon/week is right around the corner. GC took a leap after lights out cycle

11/28 Into the first day of week 3 and the plants are really growing. The GC is far ahead of the other 2 while those 2 are on their own same pace. Beginning to super lightly LST the bigger GC so the light gets all over it. Been watering with nutes for the last week and the girls have taken kindly to it. I expect to be feeding a full gallon of water per week to each plant. This past week they took .5gal each over the course of 7 days with no signs of stress, deficiencies, etc. 11/30 Decided to top auto NL #2... the new growth seemed to be bunched up and hadn’t dropped in 2 days, not sure why. Since i have 2 of the NL this will be a fun experiment to see the difference in topping an auto vs not. Hoping it was the right call as NL#2 is growing super slowly anyway 12/2 Haven’t watered since Sunday. Believe I might have gone a little too hard to start the week and their growth slowed. Pots have dried out considerably and plants seem to be healthy with undroppy/twisted fan leaves. Also began germination on a Moby Dick auto in a red cup. Super soil arriving Friday, experimenting on differences between added bottle nutrients vs “feeding the soil” over the course of my first auto grow. 12/4 Plants responded very well to 24hr lights for past 2 days. Growing upwards and showing no sign of dropping, yellowing leaves, etc. NL 2 recovered very well from topping and now is producing 2 main colas instead of 1 like the other 2 plants. LST GC and NL1 to expose some undergrowth to light. Trying to yield as much as possible from this grow setup. Haven’t watered much, soil still most and nutrient rich

12/6 Did some defoliating and LST on the plants so light would reach th undergrowth. Plants adopted well and seem to be growing. Watered till top layer of soil was wet. Rose light to 24” 12/9 Spun girls around in tent and tucked some leaves to get optimal light penetration 12/10 Tightened down twist ties for more LST. Recovering quickly from defoliating shading leaves and seem to be putting energy into new growth. Watered till top layer wet. Tomorrow is day 28 12/11 Day 28 and NL2 is the first to show signs of flowering!! What was the slowest in the beginning, topped, is now the first (and largest) plant to flower. Other NL and GC cannot be too far behind, continuing LST for best possible results. Will continue to defoliate leaves blocking sites but in an every other/ every other 2 day increment.

12/13 Day 30 and all plants seem to have began the flowering process. NL2 started first (12/11) with GC and NL showing their first pistils yesterday. All plants look healthy with a little yellowing on GCs oldest fan leaves tips. Thinking is a little wind burn as the yellow tips are only on one side of the plant (the side the air constantly flows). Don’t for see it as much of an issue as growth is constant and progressive 12/15 Continuing to remove pesky undergrowth on GC so light can penetrate. Plants are drinking more water these days as growth is accelerating. NL2 looks great with a flat even canopy from LST. NL1 and GC are more apical but still have a fairly wide looking canopy that I think will yield just fine in the end.

12/19 Beginning of week 6 and NL2 is flowering nicely and definitely the strongest of the 3. Thinking this happened when I topped NL2 i wound up overwatering the other 2 while I waited for NL2 to recover. Regardless the GC and NL1 are showing pistils, just not as prominent and good looking as NL2. Small Moby Dick in the cup is doing great as I plan to top her next week 12/24 Day 40 and significant flowering in both Northern Lights, green crack is flowering at its main cola but significantly lagging behind in growth, we will see what happens. Wound up topping Moby Dick 12/20 because of its strong growth, appears to be recovered and growing 2 colas now 4 days later.

Week 7 Started on 12/25 12/31 Watered plants yesterday before bed, NL2 flowering like crazy - pistils all over the place and trichomes present. NL 1 also beginning to flower crazy, still probably a couple days behind NL2 Green Crack is flowering but no where near the rate of NL. Presuming its still a week behind- i expect to see more pistils as the week goes on Moby had recovered fully from topping, showing 2 strong cola sites. Beginning to tie down and allow light to penetrate.

1/4 All plants growing great with no signs of any new deficiency’s/ unwanted stunted growth. Figuring NL2 is going to be harvested first, then NL1 at least 2 weeks after and then GC a week or 2 after that. The bud sites on NL2 are going crazy, trichomes all over the place, pistils are beginning to turn a lighter brown shade, and smell is coming on. Super excited to see this grow finish!

1/8/21 Week 9 began, GC flowering a bit more but still far behind, LST the Moby Dick as well as defoliating all plants every 5 days. 1/12 Big fan leaves on NL2 are quite shiny and full of resin. Can’t determine if they’re shiny from resin or a bit much nitrogen. Either way, going to water with no N upcoming feeding. Leaves are not shiny on NL1 and I use same nute water for both

1/16 Week 10 has begun. Both Northern Lights are continuing to produce their buds. Pistils are beginning to amber (slightly) on NL 2 while NL 1’s are still pretty new and early in their life. Green Crack is the same with fairly new, and much smaller, pistils/ bud sites. Flowering time on the NLs says 70-85 days. Green Crack says 75days. NL 2 started flowering Dec 11th which puts it 35 days into flowering (5 weeks) NL 1 started flowering Dec 15th which puts it 31 days into flowering GC started flowering Dec 18th which puts it 28 days into flowering. Been watering when dry with nutrients, decreased N aspects to almost 0 to stop shiny leaves on NL2. It worked. Been defoliating big fan leaves every 5 or so days. Plants respond well and helps to have less bush in a tighter (2.5x2.5) grow tent.

Week began 1/22 Been watering NLs without FloraGro now, had too much N even with cutting dosage in half. Leaves are way less shiny! Buds are beginning to fatten up on NL2 where probably 25% of the pistils are brown. On NL1, 10% and on GC less than 10% of the pistils are brown. GC is still getting FloraGro for another week or 2 Moby Dick is shaping up nicely. Technically the 4th plant I have LST’d. Tied branches down to get a more flat, open canopy. Also tried a little pruning on the branches I wanted to space out a little. Plant seems to have recovered fine as the pruned areas show recovery. Began germination on 3 more seeds. 2 Swiss Cheese and 1 OG Kush... will create a new diary for them once they pop through the Coco. Plan is to use nutrients on the OG kush while using Kind Soil as the feed for the Swiss cheese. No rhyme for reason, just experimenting!

1/29 Start of week 12 from seedling! Week 8 of flowering which is still 14days off 207Genetics seed info flowering time of 70-85days. Can’t complain! Buds are fattening on both Northern Lights plants. NL1 is going to get another week of nute feeding but NL2 might be getting just water from here on out. Green Crack is doing fine, all pistils seem to be half browning compared to the NLs where 40% of the pistils are brown but the other 60% are still white. Thinking GC might be closer to being done than i had originally thought! Any insight is always appreciated in the comments!
