We have made it to day 42! 31/12/20 All the girls have started flowering now! I'm super keen to see them start to thicken up. Feeding as usual, nothings changed. Update - day 46 04/01/21 I'm a little concerned about the 2 runts that were laggin behind the rest, all of a sudden theyve decided they want to take up most of the room in the tent. I've never grown autos so big.. I was contemplating putting the runts outside but it's just going to make more problems as my outdoors are under attack from some kind of bug. I will keep the diary updated on the runts, other than that the other girls are doing just great, flowering is really coming along. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there, How much should I be letting the coco dry out for these seedlings? I just had a failed grow due to overwatering the seedlings and I'm looking for some guidance. I know there's many factors, but I'm just worried I'll either under or over water again. Thank you!

Hi! Coco is actually really hard to overwater cos it holds oxygen while being wet, where normal soil wont do this. So as long as you have proper drainage in the pot and you dont keep the coco soaking wet all the time you'll be fine. Coco likes to be moist but not bone dry or soaking wet.

Hi there, I currently have 9 1 day old Auto seedlings under a 400w FL lamp with 2 broken outputs so its really running at 300w, which is 18" away from the seedling I also have a 600W Kind LED and I'm wondering if I should replace the broken FL lamp with the LED? Thanks in advance

Hi! With the tent that size you can use the cfl lamps but when they get bigger you should add the led too. I think the "600W" led is actually something between 200-300W so youll get 600W true power to flowering and its much better than only using one lamp

Hi there, This morning when I checked my plants I noticed one of my seedlings(out of 9) had completely drooped over 90 degrees on its side. First pic is the girl who toppled over, other photos are to show the difference between the healthy girls Thanks

Hi! There's nothing to worry about! I see lot of people supporting their little seedlings if they fall over, but I think that is just counterproductive, if the seedling falls over she will have to use little bit mroe strenght to get back up, but that will make her stronger in the long run, so why give her aid with sticks and never letting her get strong stem on her own? She won't die if she falls over or anything and sometimes it happens. Treat them all as same and let the nature do it's job. ALso I see that you are growing in coco, so I suggest that you read a little bit about it. In coco you have to follow the hydro pH nutrient uptake chart 'cos coco is "soilless" grow and acts kinda like hydro. Also with coco there is really really minimal risk to overwatering and you can keep the coco wet all the time but do not keep it soaking wet tho! Overwatering happens when you keep normal soil too wet for too long and there is no more oxygen in the root zone and the plant will sufocate, but with coco, it holds more oxygen when saturated with water than dry, so it is important to keep coco somewhat wet all the time.

Hi there, I recently overwatered my previous auto seedlings and I have started a new batch as of last week. I'm just curious about how you think the girls growth is doing for 7.5 days above soil/coco. Sorry for the basic question, just not sure if im doing alright. Thank you!

Completely disagree with organoman. You are way to early in the game to be watering that entire pot. Worst thing you can do is overwater. The roots will expand and seek out water when they are allowed to breath. When they can’t breath they won’t grow. Yes, once that thing is established then follow organomans recommendations. But I’m looking as]to a very young seedling that has no ability to uptake a high volume of water, so that will leave you with a moist substrate and suffocated immature root system. Good luck

Hi there, Today I was screwing around with photo seeds in rapid rooters and I moved a sticky bug trap that landed on top of my 12 day old plant and ripped a fan leaf off.. I just wanted to check with others to see if this would cause a lot of stress or stunt the auto? Thanks!

Simple question here today! I was wondering about the difference between these two plants (A & B)? I have treated them exactly the same and I'm just wondering what the deal is? Could it be they're just 2 completely different phenos? Thank you!

Yes, just two different individuals, nothing to worry about. Seeds are organic living beings and are not made in factories to identical specifications. Just like brothers and sister, even though they come from the same parents, children are different. Breeders use possibly hundreds of mother plants to produce enough seeds to sell the whole world over and there are genetic variations in each and every seed. No need to worry, she will grow just fine. It could even be a one in a million super phenotype that every breeder and grower is waiting to discover! Hope this helps.... Organoman.

Hi there It's been 4 years since my last grow(5 successful harvests, so I'm still a beginner). I was just wondering if these girls were showing sex in these images? It may be a little too early to tell, you let me know :) Thanks!

Hard to see exactly, one clear close up picture would help, as unfortunately there is no "zoom" function on this platform, however, yes, it looks like pistils in picture 1 and female calyxes in picture 2. Look for small white hairs (pistils) emerging from pods (calyxes) growing at the junction of the main stem with a leaf or branch and this will confirm your suspicions that they are indeed female plants. The time frame for an auto seems about right for it to start flowering. Male flowers will be similar in size, but have a smaller lower portion of a pod, with a larger rear portion of a pod that will form a type of curved "brim" overlapping the lower portion of the pod, or a bit like the lower portion of the pod is wearing a hoodie, if that makes sense. In time, the male flowers will grow a stalk, then form a cluster of male flowers on top of the stalk, making it easy to tell that your plant is male. Also, male flowers will have no hairs/pistils emerging from within the "pods", but stay closed until mature enough to shed pollen. The separate segments of the male pods/bracts will then peel back like petals on a flower, exposing the male stamens, or bananas as people call them, to the air, allowing for the pollen to be swept away by the wind in search of female pistils to land upon and fertilize the seed ovule contained at the base of the pistils within the female calyx. Hope this helps...... Organoman.

Hi there, I'm having weird issues with my humidity, it seems to be fine (40-50%) for 70% of the day, but the remaining 30% of the day it spikes up to 60-65%. Temps stay reasonable in the 5x5 tent, I have ducted air-con in the house which is on most of the day. Thank you!

that's actually the humidity you should be growing at during this stage of the plant's life, the 60%, not the 40% Rh, 40% at this stage would be considered over transpiration and if the plants transpire too much then they wont grow as much. In relation to the spike idk man, it could even be a result of their transpiration going too hard and they end up making the whole tent's humidity go up. it could also be a fan malfunction, a timer malfunction, it could be that the place where you are pulling air from the outside is a spot where humidity gathers during the peak of the day.... lots of things it could be, but sure as hell whatever did it took your humidity levels to the right ones. stay lit growmie. i experienced similar stuff but only during the night, without a dehumidifier it would go up to 99%Rh everynight, but if its only during the night it doesn't really hurt the plant as she is resting, other than to provide a possibility for fungus to settle in during the night.

Hi, I'm still a beginner so I'm having a little battle in my own head about this. Am I right in thinking as long as these girls have shown sex on a 20/4 light schedule they will start to flower soon? Also, Photos require 12/12 to show sex right? Thanks in advance.

Photo's show sex in veg, that's a sign of maturity, ideally you would want to wait for these to pop up before you flip them into flower. Considering you are growing an auto you can flower under any schedule, 12/12, 24/0, its best to keep the same u got now but she will flower under any schedule. And yeah, since they showed them, they should be going into flower anytime soon. Plants are looking good, stay lit growmie.

The pictures you provided are plants already in flower. They might be a few days behind, but they're flowering. They may be smaller for several issues. Competing for light or just a different pheno, but if you're giving at least 18 hours of light and they look like this, then they're autos and you're fine. Good luck!

I was just checking my girls when I noticed this leaf hidden away. I have no idea what it's from, so I thought I'd ask here. There was literally 1 leaf like this on the entire plant, I couldn't find another, although it's in a hard to reach spot. Any help is appreciated! 🙏

Since day 1 I've had 3 different phenos of this GG grow. Pheno 1 & 2 are pretty much at the same stage, but the pace of pheno 3 is 1-2 weeks behind the rest. I'm not sure what to do as I plan to dry in my tent, a staged harvest isn't the best option Any tips? Pics included THX

Thoughts of all ones eggs in the same basket come to my mind..... After growing for a while, you will realise that you will need a dedicated drying "zone", especially if growing multiple strains, as they will all finish when it is convenient for them and maybe not so convenient for you. As you have found out, even plants of the same strain have different ideas to their sisters or what is written on the packaging. Drying elsewhere is really your only option or getting somewhere else/new to finish the late bloomer. Or, maybe the other two were "early bloomers"? I can never work it out. Whatever you decide, remember to not have light shining on your drying flowers, this will degrade the cannabinoids and terpenes as fast as you can say "Jimminy Crickets". Hope this helps,....
