Hey guys skipped the rest weeks cause just decided to create a diary
This is a 73 day Acapulco gold just flipped today 12/12
In the back part of photo you can see a green crack auto from fast buds which has a week to finish.
Cheers,!
Hey all, that's day 79 for me. I m in a week to 12/12, I got some flower signs but not clear yet into flowering stage.
I made a nice defoliation and lollipop last week and a good LST. Waiting to get a big stretch from this plant cause I ve seen before it really grows big!
Day 85 for me and I can say that flowering has begun. Pistills are still small but the lady has entered for sure it's bloom phase. Last week passed with some defoliation and some LST to ensure that light reaches as much as possible more sites of future buds. When I see that it's not possible I just lollipop the branch. I choose this week not to feed any nutrients and just through some mycorrhizae (glomus iranicum var. Tenuihypharum). I see it's not in the catalog of nutrients here but I can say for me it works perfect and I ve seen better results from most products I ve used in the past.will start with bloom nutes next week.
Ps checked pH run off and it's 6.8 approx if this says sth..
Day 91 this is the 2nd week of flowering for the lady. I ve started introducing her some flower nutes since the bud sites have really established themselves in final positions. Last week passed with a little of defoliation and lollipopping of future pop corn buds.
Cheers 😍
Day 98 Not much to report this week.
Flowering proceeds well and the girl started to drink more water. I noticed some yellowing of 3-4 old leaves and I fed some cal/mag in soil and spray same solution. Could it be a N Def but could it be nothing, next week will show.
Day 108 flowering continues well and I hope this nugs begin to fatten up soon. I got a cal mag issue but was treated asap with a foliar feed and Epsom salts. Hope will recover soon and go well.. I plan to make a guano tea for foliar feed just for some p boost.
Day 117 waiting to fatten up. I think we are entering the final phase. Expecting the end in 4 weeks or so. Keeping Bloom nutrients up and using some guano tea I made myself as foliar feed and together with nutes. Next week I ll introduce overdrive in the schedule.
Day 123 Smell is filling the room! Last week has passed with swelling nugs and hitting smells. I introduced some overdrive and lowered the bloom part a bit. I have cut off nitrogen and I will continue decreasing nutes till the end.Maybe I ll make a last guano tea.
Think I got about 3 weeks to finish.
Day 130 We are progressing hopefully to the end, maybe a 10 days to go. I ve done a last feed and I m planning to let things go even without water till harvest. Harvest will be scheduled according to trichome maturity which last time I checked did not meet my requirements. There where a lot of clear trichomes still and I like a 10% of amber. I think the harvest window will open in about 10 days.will not hurry though...
Typically sativa buds from the sight. Will update further when are dryed and cured.Final weight will be around wet weight/4.5, will be updated further.
Update So most of the moisture has gone and the buds are curing in open jars. I have cut off most of the stems so real dry weight 175 which I'm very pleased with. Smell is citrus, sweet and pine but I expect to change a bit during curing. I ve tried a small bud and the effect is a great high and energetic. Highly recommend for people who want these energetic effects like me!
Congrats Barney's Farm.
This is the end my only friend the end as the song says. Well 145 days passed and it was about time for chopping. Situations made me harvest a week about earlier but that's life. I can't complain though thinking this was a part grow just to fill the free space and flower it when the autos where done. Now on to the serious info this strain is great and cannot disappoint you. It grows steadily at the beginning and explodes when it comes to flowering stage. Responds very well to topping and lst and takes nutes well. I ve decided to take this cycle with1/4 of recommended doses mostly and going only till 1/2 and I think I was on spot. I got a mix of most cloudy trichomes and some amber which is OK for me. Smell is very good a mix of pine, sweet and citrus aromas. Now if you are going for it you got to watch out to control the height, nute doses (especially N) and have a good amount of patience cause it's a slow finisher. Overall highly recommended. Bud reports will come when it's dried and cured. 😁
Thank you Barney's Farm!
I'm growing the same Acapulco Gold from Barney's. I'm at day 66 of flower. Near the end. I'm not seeing any amber at all yet.
Barney's has harvest between 60-70 days. I right in the middle of that range. Hopefully they start appearing soon. Do you have photos
you can share of Trichomes during harvest day?
Thanks!
