Welcome to my Easy Bud Autoflower Grow Diary. I am aiming this at First time growers as Easy Bud seems a good choice for a first grow and to show you can get great results and decent yields with basic equipment. My total setup cost me under £50 from ebay and I will be using basic Nutrients available from any garden centre. This is only my third time growing weed,I grew 2 other strains from Royal Queen Seeds, a Fast Eddy in my tent this time last year and a Stress Killer in the Garden this summer, both had very decent yields and great results. The first job is to germinate your seed.I use the paper towel method and all three of my seeds from Royal Queen Seeds have germinated fine.I use 2 pieces of wet Kitchen roll in a small glass Tupperware dish, with the seed sandwiched between the 2 pieces.I put the lid on then put it in my airing Cupboard to keep it warm and dark. While I'm waiting for germination I get the Pot and soil ready.I use a large 3.6 gallon pot and use a 50/50 mix of general purpose Compost and coco coir ( Reptile section in Pets at home) or even the pound shop.Soak your coco coir then mix the 2 together in the pot and water so it's nice and moist ready for the seed. After 36 Hours the seed had sprouted about 10mm so it was time to plant it about 20mm deep in the soil and gently cover over.I then put a single 20w CFL bulb ( £3 from Toolstation) sitting about 2 inches above the soil.Within 18 hours the first tiny leaves had burst through and it was on it's way ! Apart from a tiny bit of water, this is how it will be for the next 7-10 days.It is important to keep the bulb nice and close to the seedling at all times to avoid the plant stretching up to find the light.2 inches is about right.I keep the bulb on 24 hours a day but some people do 18 on and 6 off.

Is it OK to trim the large fan leaves off? I am going to start LST in a few days and removing them would allow more light to the lower nodes?

I'm thinking plants that young need the fan leaves to take in light to support plant growth. I wait until LST is almost done before starting defoliation.

In the younger stage it's best to just tuck them out of the way, later on in late veg is when I do a little trimming.

Hi all, Could anyone kindly recommend a photo period plant that would suit a polytunnel grow in the UK. Ideally something with uplifting, non couch lock effects and discreetly odoured with moderate thc strength. I have looked at RQS speedy Chile and honey cream maybe? Thanks

Hey Mate, I would suggest Northern Lights, but It's mistly indica and has a calming effect. But good for Guerilla Grow bcause of the little odor and it's small statue (~60-100cm). I would say every Diesel Breed will do the job. I had several in my garden and neighbours didn't realize.. Hope this will help, have a good one... Servus OimRausch

Good morning, I wondered if you could help? I am looking to take advantage of the Zamnesia sale and buy some more seeds. I am thinking about Northern lights auto, but wondered if you could recommend a photo period plant that would suit a polytunnel grow in the UK. Ideally something that doesn't smell of cannabis strongly and something that will have the opposite effect to Northern lights. I was thinking about speedy Chile or Honey cream from RQS. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Diabetic Dick

Day 20 and I started LST last night. Overnight she's responded well and the top has already turned upwards towards the lights and the other shoots that would have been hidden are doing the same. The idea being a level canopy of flowers in time.
