I fed the plants 75% nutrients for it's very last feeding although 6 or more leaves are showing signs of nitrogen deficiency but the buds are still growing, all signs show that I think they need 2 more weeks. Most pistols are amber, and a few new pistols still grow from the tops or sides of each bud. New sugar leaf growth on the tops look more rounded.
The trichomes on the oldest sugar leaves have turned amber, less so on middle and top. Trichomes on the buds range from appearing clear, cloudy and milky, but not amber.
I want the trichomes on the buds to be anywhere between 10-30% amber.
Looking great! They have shaped up real nice in one week. I would recommend getting your humidity up a little for the vegetative stage. Perhaps you should spray the air in the room with some ph adjusted water and Do Not spray directly on the foliage. It could cause light to prism through the water droplets and burn your leaves. Good luck on your grow!
@Kindbudz,
Week 2, and this coming 3rd week of veg, I kept humidity at 60-80, foliar spray 2-4 times a day, and humidity drops during pictures only....Cal-mag cleared the purple stems, and I've seen some of it retract. I have the light 24'' from the lowest leaf. The difference of height of the highest to lowest leafs is 4 inches. I position the lowest, shortest stems towards the middle. That solves the burnt tip problem. First week I had the light really close, before I moved it to it's current location. And as a precautionary, I draped a bug net over the grow box. That want stop what hitchhikes. Crossing my fingers.
@papi94, A blurple(B01B4GQ6MO) will never be enough, in regards to many factors, but It's my first grow, and I won't splurge until I've gain some skill and understanding and seen everything possible with my own eyes. It's perfect for vegging to a certain size/week. Well anyways, I uploaded a useful ms paint drawing to week 1, which notes my understanding of the relation my led light has to my grow during flowering.
Trichomes are sneaky little things! And where you sample from has an effect.
Take from sugar leaves near the top and she can look done to your 20-30% criteria. But cut from an internal calyx, and they’re all clear!
So how to know?
The science of cannabis growing is mostly a good thing. But sometimes we obsess to our detriment.
The really cool thing about this specie is that it is a ‘conscious’ plant because of its psychoactive properties (controversial)
You can intuit what your plants need and want, much like a pet, who also cannot speak to you, but makes its wishes known via behavior. Harvest her when she tells you she is ready
Best wishes for a great harvest
