EXTREMELY Excited about this one!!! With room to add another, my husband and I decided to go with Brain Damage. We were thrilled to hear the reviews and WOW the pictures posted all over look incredible. I really wish I had the time to post about this one daily or even document it daily because she already shows so much potential. I was able to catch a difference between one day of growth in photos. If I am able to do this again, I will because WOW. You may not see much, but I see a lot of difference in one day. My eyes are new to this please don't judge. 😂 Laugh at and with me yes!!! I encourage that! We want to find a place close that has the flower, so we can try it ourselves first. However, we kind of don't in the same sense. UGH!!! What to do!?! 😄 If you get a chance to look at some photos and read up on this strain, it is really interesting. IMO! 😊I will update each week like always. For now we watch growth and decide how to move forward next week or midweek or IDK whenever my husband decides. 👊 Till then my plant growing friends!

She is doing well and growing fast. I swear each day I see more details coming alive. One of these days I will have time to photo document each day at least on one of these diaries. Until then, no change with her. Just watching her grow! 😘

She is growing and almost as big as the other autos we have. I think she is making up time very well. She does not have anything special that we are doing with her this week. We are just going to monitor growth and do a normal routine.

She has pistols. Did not have them last night. However, this morning when I went in to take a couple pictures for the update, surprise surprise!!! I am guessing in the next few days she will fully be into flowering.

SHE IS MASSIVE!!! I am not sure what is going on, but she grew 12 ish inches in a week. I have read some stories of this happening, but have never witnessed this kind of growth myself. 😃 Ok, so I took some pics on the 28th because she started flowering and I noticed that there is so much space along her stems with nothing. I am not sure if this is normal on a fast grower or not. I do not see many possible bud sights because she is all stem. I mean I guess I will see as she flowers, but seriously people........she is all stem. She huge!!! The pics I took yesterday for the post today (yes I am always a day off) in the first one from today you can see much growth even from the 28th. However, you can still see mostly stems. I focused the rest of the pics on the bud sites to at least show she has some. :) Just a reminder, I started this one 2 weeks after the original auto mix. She towers above them all. Bah I don't know. I guess we will see right. 😘😂

Grow Questions

Will fast growing plants that produce long stems actually fill in during flower? Brain Damage has grown tall fast and went into flower quickly. There is so much space between I am not sure what I should expect for flowering. Any ideas from grows you have had?

This sort of growth usually occurs when a plant is not getting enough light intensity. They stretch and grow very lanky so as to receive more light. Genetics can play a part, with Sativas being longer and more stretched out than Indicas, which generally stay smaller and more "squat" and with close internodes. Flowers on plants like this one usually stay around the nodes and never form entire branches filled with flowers, however, there are some Sativas that will flower the whole length of the branch with the internode distance that your plant has, however those flowers are usually very light/airy/fluffy and not very dense at all. Apart from increasing the light intensity, there is little you can do to change this plants morphology. Hope this helps,... Organoman.

I know each plant grows differently but, did I do something wrong while growing? She has so much space between nodes and doesn't look like she will produce well. She grew fast and is unstoppable. I just want to make sure that it was not something I did to cause so much stem.

While genetics plays an important factor, internode spacing can be managed by the temperature differential between your grow environment’s night and day temps. Warmer days and cool nights will cause a plant to stretch. Day and night temps which are similar will minimize stretch. There are many factors but this is what I use to control height.

I truly cannot believe how tall she is. 45 inches. With her pot, she is almost as tall as me. :( yes I am that short. 😫 <- does that look like a pooping face. LMAO We have 4 seeds left and want to see if all will turn out in the same manner. We will be trying them all out (hopefully at the same time) to see growth patterns from this genetic. We will also be playing with light and temperature to see if we can keep it a little shorter and less stemmy. (yes I know that is not a word) 😘😝 We have had to adjust her light again because she grows so fast. However, I think she may be slowing down a bit. We took off most of her giant fan leaves to focus more on the flowering bits. We believe she is going to be super top heavy and have bought stakes to support her. We haven't put the stakes in yet because we want to see what she does on her own this week. Depending on how everything goes, we may not add them in until next week. :)

54 Inches. Isn't she supposed to slow down eventually? We took off many of her huge fan flowers to try to get some focus on bud sights and she is producing. I'm just worried that she grew so tall so fast that her bud sights are going to be more sparse then I once thought. I already thought it was looking sparse but now........... so more. I hope she proves me wrong. :) She is taking over a gallon of water in a day. We had to put a few tall stakes in to help support her. She was getting little wobbly and we wanted to strengthen her. I did not include it, but my husband took a picture of me standing next to it. Holy wow am I short. HAHA 😅 My husband was moving the light higher every other day to accommodate her growth. Finally we just stopped and decided she's just going to have to bump her head for the remainder of her growing time.

She is filling out better then I had expected. Tried getting my husband to follow a tip given by a reader to move her back to 18/6, but he said no. He said we will do that when we grow it again. Not going to do much with her other then watch and regular maintenance.

Brain Damage: She is doing amazing. Growing well. We are not doing anything special with her. Just regular maintenance and watching her buds.
