Hi, i used to grow photoperiod strain for about 8 years now and after a year of pause decided to grow some for my own pleasure. Alway wanted to grow purple strain and after a week or 2 of search i finally came into this strain. It seemed to have high rate of success in turning purple so decided to give a try! I ordered 3 seeds and they got here really fast! Original breeders packages and well preserved into a little plastic flask/container. The only disappointment was that the seeds seemed pretty small and light colored like i wasnt sure if they were going to germ strong. Wanting to put all chance of my side Because i usually clone plants and only germed seeds like 3 time in my life i tried 2 technique... The paper towel and the glass of water. Surprisingly 3 seeds of 4 (4 because of the freebies) germed but with very small root... still i was happy! So i putted them in their growing medium. After years of trying different medium as i usually grow in soil i got to this very simple way. I buy package of Plastic "shots" cup wich i drill hole in the bottom then i take my standard soil and tamise it to get the finest soil material for more aeration and draining then fill the "shooters" with and place the germ in. It gone pretty well but at end i lost 1 due to manipulation (i think i broke the root). ---Used T5 LightStick 24w--- for the germing process. . . Blue spectrum is the best for root ...
Sorry wasn't planning to do a diaries at this time so its a picture under the 1000w that why picture all black striped up. As For the nutrient i will go "freestyle" all the way till then end with wat i had left and what my friend who retired gave me. I used my old recipe from General hydroponic + added the rhizotonic that from the recipe my friend gave me. will go with the flora gro / flora micro all the vegetative state.
At This point they were at the very edge if not already into flowering stage. I cutted the apex form 1 plant in the first few week. Wanting to experiment the difference as i always do...
Blooming! As you can see flowers are starting to settle their's Construct. Had some difficulty with the one on the left as you can see by the leaves facing downward. Was surprised to see how much they stretched between week 4 and 5 even with the blooming going on! For me it made a big difference from photoperiod strain who normaly doesn't stretch that much when switching from 18 to 12.
Here you can see that the strains start to take the good color i was hoping. I never did this but saw that mostly everyone here do the defoliation thing so decided to give it a try but dont think its that good to get rid of the big nourish leaf witch do balance the plant in case of carence etc. I observed that the plant doesnt drink much as when i grew photoperiod ones is it due to the lack of leaf? the lack of light intensity (i normaly grow with more that 1 1000hid or is it normal for auto plant but normally i do a feed every 2 days and the pots dry well but here i feed only 2 time per week pots take 3 days to dry approximately. Also putted some old black&white to help light reflection.
Now That at least 50% of pistils turned orange and that the smell and taste seem present i will start the flush and start gathering next week and try to get it done for Christmas... Cant wait to see the cured result! Big thanks to fastbuds for this beautifull strain! I had hard time finding the strain for my region as most of site where out of stock but it definitely worth it! Next update next week ;)
I will add it to the "must do again" list because this stain seem to have many variety and ways of coloring. It can handle nutrient pretty well! My only negative point with this strain is that it can only be found autoflowering héhé.
