Black Ghost OG Re-Root

14-12-2020 Well she seems to be off to a rocky start, the seed shell fell off but a hard crust fused the 2 primary bud leaves together, i did eventually separate somewhat but not sure if she will survive. We wait and see. She will be placed out in position in the next few days.😎

21-12-2020 She seems to be coming along very slowly but still I'm not sure. I might crack another seed and strain (Gelato) as backup if she still looks weak in a few days I hate to do it but ll put her on Pro-mix and confine her to a LTC under low light for mothers to be. If she lives.😎 24-12-2020 Today i noticed why she is not getting larger at all is!!! She has a kink in her stem close to the base, either she got damaged somehow by no support(she fell over slightly) So in the next day i will try a procedure similar to cloning but i'm not taking a clip off the mother, I 'm going to try and do a re-root. Now had this happened later on with a branch. NP a little masking tape but this is surgery on the main line. Well she has to be done. So if you see a new headline with no Scrog it's the same diary. 25-12-2020 Christmas Day was the scene of a snip and re-root of this Black Ghost. I am hoping she will rise up among the living and be a good mother to her siblings if she makes it that far. The first week is critical.🙏😎

29-12-2020 She still on the mend and seems to have started a root partly because she is still alive. So for the next week or so she will sit in her tent. At this point haven't decided if I should mother her or flower her or both.😎 The humidity is about to rise soon upwards within the 60's and fans set to rotate for airflow. Expecting 2 more wall mount Oscillating fans soon and remove stationary ones. Just not getting enough air movement activity. I am considering ventilating my Scrog below the screen and above the plastic sheet.😎 2-01-2021 The re-root has taken shape now, a few roots are seen poking through the rock-wool cube. Success! I will put her in a cup of warm CoCo in the next day or two. Yes!💪👌😎

5-1-2021 She is now in CoCo in a small cup and growing quickly now that she is re-rooted and stable. She will provide some babies with a follow through to bud.😎

11-1-2021 She has sure bounced back quickly and full of attitude. Lesson to be learned here! Never throw in the towel We can re-root but there has to be some small foliage or 2 very small leaves and enough stem to work with. I will put her in a larger pot soon. She sure will produce a few good offspring.😎 16-1-2021 Transplant day went well took a few photo's . Her root mass is building quickly and feels good in her new home for the next week or 2.😎

18-1-2021 Growing like crazy going to have to transplant her soon again 😎

25-1-2021 Wow is this girl rocketing to the top, Time for a pot change before the flower stage starts this week.😎

1-2-2021 Into her final pot, if she'd been a regular trooper she would have gone a size smaller and then this size and finish in 25 gal pot.😎

8-2-2021 Into the second week of flower and she looks good. A short veg cycle and smaller plant. Going to take a few babies and convert them back for fun. see what kinda weird things happen lol.😎

15-2-2021 Stretching into week 3 of flower and she is trying her best to pop some bud. She didn't have a long veg period but she is doing well in COCO. Turning her a quarter turn daily is helping somewhat.😎

22-2-2021 She is still stretching upwards but slow on the flowering. Into the 4th week of flower and barely a bud yet. She is a meter away from big light and rotated daily. guess we just have to have patience.😎 25-2-2021 There be little buds forming.

1-3-2021 Still rotating on a daily basis. She is getting very tall fast and has started showing some flower.😎

8-3-2021 Looking good so far, she sure stretched it out. Starting to produce buds now, but she is a distance from the light source so it's going to go slow.😎

15-3-2021 Far from the light ! I can understand why I see so many diaries here that sport low light grows and have 12 week veg and 16 week flower periods. Going into seven weeks and a 3ft distance from 1000w the buds are a little larger than a peanut. She sure stretched though pushing 5ft very long stalk in between buds. 😎

22-3-2021 Not to much new other than she is building little buds that hopefully will be somewhat larger in a few weeks. She seems to have stopped stretching but still not drinking as much as what i had hoped for.😎

29-3-2021 Going into week 9 and you can see that the prior re-rooting/bypass surgery and the Switch to flower with only a few weeks of veg seems to have slowed her down somewhat. She is very tall with small buds forming. she is Very wiry in her stature, if not for the buds forming y'd think it was corn .lol 😎

5-4-2021 Just a few more weeks and this one will be ready to harvest, i'm guessing really, I have no idea at this point. I had to give her a bend at the top because she surpassed my Height requirement to stay in the room and to slow her down a wee bit so the other buds can catch up.😎

12-4-2021 Buds are building. Looking to harvest soon but going to move them closer to the light soon as the other Aeroponic grown strains are into harvest.😎

19-4-2021 Just a couple of weeks more and Harvest time. I had emptied the room and moved this girl close to the light. She has the whole room to do what she does best "Flower"😎

26-4-2021 Last week till harvest and we be cleaning house. She is ready not willing but we have to do what we have to do. Cut off nutrition. She is a slow grower and i think her hardships at the beginning might have stunted her. Her Baby survived though and is in featured in another grow soon. 😎

This was an interesting grow from the beginning with the kink in her main artery a few days after she fell over. if it was not for the quick response of our first front line worker , it could have being deadly. The surgeon gave her the snip above the kink replanted her in Rock-wool cube and prayed for a miracle. She rooted and because her spot was taken on the Hydro-Aero system she was planted in Cocco further from the light source the others were enjoying. Hence it was a slow grow at first but she did manage to stretch a little once the flower mode had started. Yet her buds are small in comparison to this strain I have grown in the past grows. Never the less she was a great grow and her daughter will carry on her genetics. Hope you enjoyed this diary and if you have the chance to grow this strain. Its worth the effort.😎
