Purple Stomper [mother] is a homebred cross of Purple Scoops (Rocbud) x Sour Stomper [pollen donor] (Mephisto). Seeds were produced summer 2020.
Goal is to create an autoflower breeding strain that shows the following qualities:
1. Speed
2. High bud to leaf ratio
3. High yield/potentcy
4. Grape/berry terpene profile
If these testers show these qualities, this will be progressed to F2 in 2021 by reversing a fast germinating and vigorous pheno as a pollen donor and several females with similar qualities.
Begin week 1
DAY 2
Sprouted 3 seeds. One dampened off and died on day 2. The others were transplanted to final pots. Details will be for the plant in the 5.3 gal pot, but there is a 2nd seedling in a 2.2 gal Airpot.
Begin week 2
DAY 10
These 2 seem very small for their age. Slow starters. I rushed them into the tent. They should have grown longer before transplanting.
They'll catch up.
DAY 11
These are very healthy. Expecting these past days being spent on root mass/development as the above ground looks very good but small for 11 days.
DAY 12
These are both so far behind the Sour Stomper cup that is just 3 days older...AND been transplanted twice. They are showing vigor...so should take off soon as pots continue to dry.
Begin week 5
DAY 32
After 7 days under 200w of 4 pendant COBs, main light (250w) has a new transformer and is operational. Re-hung light and re-routed all ropes and cables. Light intensity is mid-20s.
2 Purple Stompers are the stars of the tent. Both are very healthy with large indica-type leaves praying to the light. #2 had been the runt of the pair, but she is now starting to explode and overtake her sister. She is in the larger pot, which may explain.
Begin week 6
After a good flush with ph (6.5) water followed by a final rinse with max calmag, PS2 is regaining her lush and green growth 36 hrs later. She has wide fan leaves and is not displaying twisted swollen growth. Healthiest of all.
Purple Stomper1 has the same shape and structure as her sister. She was the more advanced of the 2 early on, but has now been surpassed by a large margin.
Begin week10
DAY 66
Early on, PS1 was the larger of the 2, but the larger pot has helped PS2 explode. She is 30 inches tall with branches filling in with flowers.
These don't give off a strong odor, but when you brush against then, the smell is strongly grape Tootsie pop.
Begin week 12
DAY 78
Chopped PS1. She was in the much smaller (8.4L) "air-pot" and is half the size of her sister in the 20L Hercules pot.
PS2 continues to grow. Gave her a good pruning of all damaged leaves. Her buds are dense and I'm hoping they fill in a bit more.
The buds smell amazing! Very sweet grape smell...like a grape Tootsie Pop.
The structure on these is different than I'm used to. Not sure if it's something environmental or genetic? Lots of very dense calyxs forming but not "packing in" as i would have hoped. Some tall skinny parts to these, but not foxtails.
PS2 is healthy and still feeding, so will continue to push her.
Begin week 14
DAY 93
She has a very sweet grape smell. She's large with dense flower clusters with a very noticable and delicious smell. She is covered with tight little growths that have had me concerned she was seeded. I've plucked a few and dissected them and all were just tiny tight balls of calyx...about to bloom. She looks ready to swell. Will let her go as long as she wants.
2 plants total. The "runt" ended up going over 100 days and yielded over 4oz.
What started as the larger plant (in small airpot) yielded 74g. They smell like sweet grape candy. Will move this breeding project to F2 over tge coming months.
