I germinated this seed alone, soaked first in water and aloe gel in an espresso cup placed in a dark and warm place, then two to three days later the white root was out of his shell and 2mm long, time to get the excessive water out and put in towel to keep moist the seed but not soaked and waited till the root was around 5mm long. After that directly planted in a 17 gallon, 65liter fabric pot, filled with biobizz light and organic nutrients.
Growth has been good, plant is looking kinda freak, the leafs are wierd shaped and the stem too as you can see it's bigger in the middle, but still growing fast so no worries at all. I've added some nitrogen fixing shrubby clover that grows with the lemon trees on my terrace, tryn to add life to the soil, also some more leafs
It speaks for it self, is growing fast and big, leafs get wider a lot daily, really happy and
I've added a different specie of nitrogen fixing clover, and another nitrogen fixing plant, in a couple of week it will be a jungle in that pot.
10/12 edit: most of the plant I've added died but at least two different species survived, so I got the diversity I wanted. I noticed that the top fan leafs were blocking everything underneath them , so I pulled them under to let the inside growth take more light, you can see It in the last Pic.
If you have any tip, do not hesitate
12 12 I think I had my light too close to the plant, I guess that caused it to be very short and bushy, I put the light 25cm from the plant, before was around 18, and I think the pale green is also caused by the close distance to the light, some leaves tip on the top are burned, but still looking healthy .
I have also chopped two low branches and added more leaves on top of the soil. I'll write down when I water, cause with a 65l pot it's not easy to water . I watered 4 l after a long period of 2l every three day .
Everything good, plant is growing strong, but I feel there's a bunch of things I could do to make It Better, probably let the soil dry out more before watering, I guess that Is the reason why the leaves are not praying, pointing up..
23 12 I can see signs of sex on the plant, and flowers on the trifolium start to form, soon there will be yellow flowers everywhere
27 12 Plant Is looking good I'm trying to let it stretch, because it's very very bushy.
So I've set the light far away from the plant I'm gonna misure the distance still, and I've bought a scrog net, that I will set on the 30 of December, tomorrow it's a full week without any water, I watered 6lt of water last Monday, I'll do the same this week. I really need any advice, I think next Saturday I'll start to diminish the light time, 1h a day till I reach 12h per day . So the start of the 7th week will start the flowering period.
30 12 defoliated enough and switched lights to 12-12
Plant is looking good 😊, fully recovered from defoliation, I set the lights closer, switched them to 12h of light per day, and did some spraying to control pests with neem oil and organic Marseille soap, everything good so far . Can't wait to see the flowers forming.
I used a net to open up the branches, and get more colas, it worked but I think stressed out the plant a bit and the fact that I did it in the flowering period didn't helped, so next time I'll do it way before, but I recently bought the net so.. anyway I kept the net on for three days, and now I decided to remove it cause was getting me lot of troubles accessing the setup in general, watering, basically made impossible any movement inside the tent.
Still did is thing and now I have not the best even canopy but many more top colas for sure.
Please give me any advice, I've noticed it is drying out lot faster, humidity is still at 58% but I believe the roots are much more developed.
I will leave home for 2 or 3 weeks, my sister will have the duty to just water, can't ask her more, hope for the best. So updates will be very rare but she'll take pictures for me and for us :D .
Canopy is pretty even after the bending with the net, just three days made a big change. The plant finally has signs that the flower period started, you can see some white hairs on the top and some calyx forming between the nodes. The main stalk also got some nice purple veins, so I'm basically very satisfied with the results so far.
