So soon I am going to have to start making some decisions I think on how to care for this. The nutrients in the soil FoxFarms Happy Frog will likely run out in a week maybe? Again this is exactly 3 weeks from planting. So it should probably be week 3, I don’t know how to count. The site wasn’t letting me start with week 1 had to do germination and couldn’t save germ without a picture. I will try to see if I can fix this and shift them all 1 week forward. Again I am a rookie here and will do some reading up on all this when I have time but here are the things I don’t know that am starting to think about. #1. When to start feeding nutrients. I got a General Organics Growbox probably 6 months ago have kept it in my closet in room temperature. When do I start using it? Is it even still good? #2. Transplantation. This plant is growing so quick, I know this pot is too small. So I need to figure out how and when to transplant it and into what size container. This is a small tent 2x2x4. So I can only raise the light so high. And I don’t want to kill it during transplantation. #3. Training, when to start low stress training and exactly how to go about that. Need a plan for this. #4. Topping. When to top it, should I top it. Should I use a different strategy. Need a plan. #5. Humidity. I think I have a solution for this. I know what the humidity needs to be. I bought a humidifier but I did not buy a humidity controller may need one of those or just pay attention to it. #6. What am I missing? I feel like I’m forgetting something. Overall I think it’s going pretty well so far. Plant is growing fast and healthy though I suspect up until now is the easy part. Dresden Green Diamond seems to be a resilient plant, since I haven’t killed it yet. Thanks for following and for all your help I’m sure I’ll get from you peoples. Appreciate you. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, until next Monday. Ciao.

Grow Questions

Ok, first real issue. The plant today is starting to wilt considerably and the lower leaves have started to turn yellowish green. I just watered it this morning and it’s looking worse than it did earlier. What could be causing this? I haven’t started feeding yet. Soil depleted?

Wilting might be due to some water damage, take off the plastic covering and aerate the soil. Water when the top 5cm/2inches are dry with at least 20-30% of the water as runoff. Fertilizing should usually start when the first set of leaves have fully developed (start-mid week 2 from seed normally) so I would start giving her some nutrients! If you're having humidity issues and the humidifier isn't enough then try hanging a warm damp towel in the grow space to try and increase it. Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

Just to give a bit more info here: I am using FoxFarms Happy Frog soil. I had tried several other plants before this and none of them made it out of the seedling stage. With those failures I was using FoxFarms Ocean Forest soil and so I swapped out the soil just in case that was it and put a ceram wrap covering over the pot to trap moisture in. I don’t know what to do about the humidity when I get out of this propagation stage. So far it’s going great this time around, I will take any tips you got. When to top it, when to start training it, humidity solutions, as you may see in the photo I have some cups and bowls in the tent I fill them with water to try and evaporate some moisture in their, I spray down the walls. Nothings working.

@FatCobra, I had a "portable" one for the 60x60 but every 5 hours I had to put it back in charge ... then I gave up and the humidity adjusts itself when I water, I no longer use the dehumidifier. If the leaves seem dry, I spray a little water with the nebulizer, otherwise don't worry too much. Check maybe in flowering that it does not rise too high to avoid the risk of mold :)

@DreamIT, hey man, thanks for responding. So I looked into humidifiers. The problem I’m having is that my tent is only 2x2x4 even small ultrasound humidifiers seem to be all pretty big and for much larger spaces. The ceram wrap covering is working for now but I’m concerned about what will happen when the plant becomes too big for that.

@FatCobra, Hello. I hope the translation doesn't distort the words too much. The recommended humidity values in the vegetative phase are around 70%, in flowering around 55/60. If you have no way to buy an ultra sound humidifier, wet the soil more often (not with more water, only more often, when you see the surface begin to dry. Glasses of water are also fine, the important thing is that the air is not excessively dry.) I do not know that soil, but in the early stages of life and growth, a soil that is not too fertilized is recommended, otherwise the taproot will "burn" even before it comes out of the seed. I hope I was helpful 😊

How are you finding the MARS lights brother? I'm considering shelling out €400 for the SP3000. It's a lot of money, so I want to be sure they're good

@FatCobra, yeah, I think I'll just bite the bullet and get it. Everyone says they're really good. You're right too, if I buy cheaper lights I'll be unhappy in no time and end up buying it anyway 😂

@GuerrillaNo_4, the light is working great. I would definitely buy Mars again. When I get some more space I plan on getting a bigger tent and will be getting larger MARS lights at that time probably because now I know it works. I’ve gotten cheap leds before that don’t work it sucks.
