RQS Northern Lights auto

TsultrimTarchin 15/12/20 : a little too much strech. I lowered the lights to 50cms @60%. Topped the soil for 1-1.5cms 19/12/20 : started hesi starters set schedule. Babies looking nice. Good green. Already starting 3fingered leafs. 21/12/20 : nothing to say. Looking healthy.

TsultrimTarchin Good start for week 2 of veg. Upping nutes. Upping Light levels a little. This NL auto will only be LST. Let the lady grow...

TsultrimTarchin Started lst on the NLauto. She's looking great.

TsultrimTarchin All goes well. Started the autopot system. [email protected] 800PPM 22°C Light @45cms Read some about VPD, so upped the RH to 60-65 as temp= 23°C By the end of next week an extra light source, 240W QB should arrive, probably just in time for start of flowering. Will slowly up the nutes to 1100PPM by adding more HESI Coco so plants can switch to flower easily. LST is showing effect : side branches are catching up. She adopted the autopot system. Me happy. By end of the week I will LST/mainline side branches to fill the pot-surface 12/01/21 v pre flowering. First calyxes appears. Will start Boost in foliar application as she shares an autopot with a green gelato I think will need a small week extra.

TsultrimTarchin This week is what we were working for : flowers. She got in flowering mid of last week. I only do some LST on her for height control. She received Hesu Boost as foliar spray cause she shares an autopot system with a GreenGelato wich is still vegging and recovering from fimming.

TsultrimTarchin Everything went perfect. The girl is happy. She had slight overnuted, but very ok now. Flowers swelling. First brown pistil. Trichromes popping up. Nice smell. Pine-earth-herb

TsultrimTarchin She goes well. I did some minor defoliation and leaf tucking to improve airflow and light penetration. All budsites are in direct light. Noticed the first trichomes popping yo last weak and now she is developing her terpenes. Pine, earthy and leafy-herby. 02/02: fattening yo nicely. Top cola leaves have yellow hues. I upped the PK a little and will up some more next feed. She looks a little hungry at the top cola.

TsultrimTarchin She's doing great. A little light stress so placed the lamp 4inches higher... I almost forgot plants still grow in height while flowering...

TsultrimTarchin 13/02/21: Good week. She's quite thirsty regarding her rather small size. 5 liters every 2 days. Nugs are swelling and terps developing well now. Most tri still clear. Did some minor defoliation to improve airflow between colas.

TsultrimTarchin Very happy how she goes. She will yield better than I expected as she was tortured with nutes and light a little too much. She's frosting up nicely and buds feel really dense. I expect to chop her by the end of the week as all trichs are cloudy and first on top of main cola start turning amber. I'll probably chop main cola first as others are a week behind.

TsultrimTarchin Learned a lot this week. 1_Apparently the beautiful colors with mesmerizing shades of yellow, pink, purple and green were caused by light stress... Upped the lights immediately as a blue cheese is in flower (2wks) too. 2_HESI Nutrients : the did the job well and provided everything the plant needed. Should have trusted them more so I would have ruled out Nitrogen deficiencies immidiately and acted faster to the light stress issue. I recommend their app Dynamic Nutrients with give you a quick calculatiin of nutes dosage in function of different parameters as plant height, flowering time, growspace, EC of water, etc... Very usefull for a beginner like me. It allows you to fine tune the nutes along the growcurve of your plant. 3_Autopot : working with different strains in a small setup with shared reservoir is not possible with HE'S nutes as it is also impossible with the a+b nutes. They share a reservoir and thus the same nutes. Next grow will be a single strain 3 plants grow using the auto pot system from veg to harvest. Once COVID measures will be loosened I will need to travel more for work and that was the exact intent of the auto pot system. Read great reviews of the combination autopot & biotabs. Might try that one out too. RQS: nothing bad too say at all. 100% germination rate wit direct soil method. Vigourous growth, forgiving. I tortured a green gelato so badly she committed suicide, but this NL (freebie) exceeds my expectations regarding my lack of experience and errors comitted. The blue cheese and Royal Haze are doing even better. So feel free to follow those diaries as well. Grow lights : I was septic at first because they were very cheap. I paid 160 € for 2x 120W true power quantum board with a full spectrum range from 380 to 750nm. 3500K lm301b from Samsung and UV, IR and FR leds from epistar, mounted on a finned blue anodized heatsink, powered by an HLG250W Meanwell dimmeable driver and potentiometer. (Should have used that one more often to avoid the light stress) Next this week : started flushing with Ph6.00 220ppm dechlorinated water. Ppm reading of LAST portion of a 100% runoff was 2650....ph 5,1.... Probably chop by end of next week. Chopped 1 cola with all tris cloudy, some yellowing. Will compare with the rest I hope to harvest at 10-15% amber. I'm a late evening smoker. Like the couch lock.

TsultrimTarchin Happy with the results of my first grow. Have a decent harvest of over 500gr wet. So I guess 100 grams cured + all the testers I smoked due to impatience and curiosity. + 20grams dried side buds.
