Well started a new crop of gelato feminized seeds from crop king. 100 % germination rate, one was a bit slower but it popped out. Cheers

Well all four popped and are looking ok. One of the plants looks funny. The leaves are dotted with white spotches, thinking maybe it was something in the soil. Looking forward to this grow, I have new fertilizers I’m going to try and hoping for the best. See you all next week. Cheers.

Well they are trucking along, not much to report this week. I haven’t decided how I’m going to train these yet, lst or scrog, I’m still debating is I will top them. I added some Diablo monster frost to the first water, and will continue through out the life cycle. I bought monster bloom, it says to use throughout the life of the plant, but it’s high in phosphorus for flower, so I’m not sure. See you all next week. Cheers.

I decided to top these plants. I pinched the tops at each of the third nodes. They have grown quite a bit in the last week, one plant is showing signs of something? Typically I don’t see issues untill flower so hopefully I can diagnose the problem quickly. I’m going to give them a dose of ph adjusted water today and forget about the ferts for this week, incase i make a small problem a lot bigger by adding addition nutes. I’m leaning towards scrog with these, but if I have any issues with the soil, it would be tough to flush it unless I elevate them under some sort of catch basin. I will likely start trying the branches by the end of next week. Cheers.

These girls are truck along, I have been trying to keep the canopy even, I decided to do a scrog finish for these plants. I gave them a water and some fertilizer the other day. I have been using a terp booster on this grow, hopefully with good results. By my next update they will be ready to start stretching towards the lights and into the scrog net in maybe two weeks time. Cheers.

This week I took out most of the training stakes and gave them a dose of nitrogen, monster frost and Diablo bloom. I have been feeding them both nutrients throughout the grow. I noticed compared to my other grows they seem to be growing a bit slower maybe because these are a new addition to my grows. They are supposed to promote the terpene profile and more bud sites, maybe that’s why they are a bit slower. I’m going to let them go free for a bit and get their stretch on. I’d like to get Them to about 2 ft before I toss the net in there so I have some working room under the canopy. Update: hooked up the filters today, the wife said when she turned on the heat the house smelled😃 Cheers.

Decided to do a bit of LST to keep the tops even, defoliated some of the interior leaves and the leaves near the soil, just some general house keeping. I still want to toss them under a net, but I think one of them likely won’t allow me to because of its short stubby growth rate. The one I’m talking about I just did some leaf picking today because the canopy is pretty even. I’m shooting for maybe another 2-3 weeks of growth before I flip them lights or net them see you next week. Cheers

I think this is the last week for veg, I’m running out of room. The canopy is pretty even and has pretty much filled my 3x3 grow tent. I decided I won’t be growing them under a net, one of them is really lagging behind and is growing short and stumpy. I gave them a huge water and a large cal/mag/nitrogen boost to get them through mid flower. Being able to move them in and out of the tent seems to be the better approach incase I have to flush them or give them a large dose of water, which would pool in the bottom of my tent . See you next week for the light flip. Cheers.

I decided after the last post, fuck it. I put it up in a net and flipped the lights to 12hrs about a week ago. I fed them a huge dose of bloom booster and terp booster to get these girls ready for flower. I got a new light since my last grow and didn’t realize how strong it is, I started burning all the colas. They all started turning yellow and drying out. I pulled the lights up, a little higher than 2ft hopefully that will help for now. I don’t have much height left in the tent so I may have to get rid of one of them later in the grow. That’s about all for this week, hopefully by next week they will start stretching and tossing out a few pistols. Cheers.

Well I almost killed these. I had the lights so close and way too much light, they weren’t pushing out new leaves. The leaves that they were pushing out were yellow and scorched. Anyway I fixed the lights by dimming the 1500watt and getting rid of the red and blue one and pulling them all up about a foot. I might run the blurple one later on in the flower once I see how they recover. The leaves are getting much greener but defiantly stunted from shock. See how the nuggs play out in 10 weeks. I see a few pistols on to of the plants but not much. Hopefully next week I should have some better results. Cheers.

These are still growing really slow especially after I almost fried them under the lights. This week I started to get some action. The girls are revealing themselves. I looked at leaves and they started producing resin. I don’t think they are going to be huge buds but they are probably going to be really frosty. Enjoy some close up scope shots, see you all next week. Cheers.

Fed them a healthy dose of terp boost, bloom and cal mag to get them through the first spurt they seem to be stretching a bit still. I pulled the whole net down one node lower in an attempt to get some bigger fuller buds at the end. I won’t water them again until next week because the soil is so saturated it runoff everywhere in the tent. See you all next week, hopefully they will pack on some weight soon. Cheers.

Having some issues with the lime green one in the back. It has always been that colour but it looks like it’s getting some cal mag issues, I don’t really want to feed them cal mag again because the mix I have has some nitrogen. Buds are filling in nicely, it definitely is more a sweeter smell than anything (fruity), it’s not very dank at all, and the tricombs are thickening up nice. See you all next week.

Buds are filling in but super slow, on the plus side they are starting to frost up nice. I fed them a huge dose of nutrients a few days ago, I’m thinking I might just start feeding regular phd water for the rest of the flower. I did some bud backbuilding and snipped the tips of the buds to help the bottom fill in a little better, that’s why the bud tips are brown. There will defiantly be three types of weed from 3 different phenos, all four plants were fed equal fertilizer and two plants have totally different buds than the other two. Enjoy the pics see you all next week. Cheers

Well I dummied it down this week, picked off a bunch of leaves and fed them literally, maybe the last dose of ferts(we’ll see).I’ll likely harvest one before the others based off visual appearance and if I can keep it alive long enough. The other three should be good too go in another 3-4 weeks (growing super slow). See you all next week. Cheers.

The fade is on. Not quite where I want them but close, I like more amber and there isn’t much to be seen, although defiantly getting milky. Fed them a half dose today because I’m shooting for 10 weeks, that should get me some more of the ambers I want. Picked a small nug to test and see what I’m getting into. Not bad, super smooth and defiantly has a stone to it. Considering all the terp booster I have been using, not much for flavour, but maybe after a good cure. See you all next week for my final 2 weeks. Cheers.

Well I’m closing this one out. Really not the greatest harvest, I had a lot of issues which included light burn, as flowering started I almost killed them which I think stunted the hell out of them. I had some nutrient problems but other than that it’s a manageable grow. The taste of these is by far the best weed I have ever grown. It’s sweet, tastes like ammonia and has undertones of skunk wow. May have been all the terp booster or gelato genetics🤷‍♂️. Not much for bag appeal but they are defiantly frosty and tasty. I started a new grow of early miss, pink kush, and another gelato, I think I will be able to get a bigger harvest with the next gelato, I’m not going to top it, just lst. See you all at my next grow. Cheers.

My first run took FOREVER to finish and turn Amber. The earlier I plucked the sweeter the flavor was, but my cure was not soo good. Looks like your Ladies sucked all the nitrogen out of the fanners. They are looking super sexy. Maybe a lil Theodore Anthony Nugent, with some "Cat scratch fever" at VOLUME 10 Rock on.

Great Rock'n look'n Ladies, nice trichs. Oh hell yeah, I would be sampling. I like to harvest plants at different trich ripening stages to see how I like each pheno. I have found slightly milky, better flavor and head high, more amber and more body high. IMO. Keep on Rock'n it LOUD

@SmylinPupil, My thoughts exactly that they are different phenos. I do not know, they sure are different plants, maybe just from diff growing styles. Looking great, you will have some good smoke. Rock on.

@Roosterdoo, thanks, I have no idea how yours are still so green, I feel like mine are hanging on by a thread. And by the looks of them they need a lot longer. Crazy the variability in the seeds. Keep it up !

"There will defiantly be three types of weed from 3 different phenos, all four plants were fed equal fertilizer and two plants have totally different buds than the other two." Same issue I had. 2 diff Pheno. and yours look way different then either of my Gelato grows. My clones I like wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better then the seeds, just with I would have notice the diff Pheno earlier and made more Mommies, as I really liked that Pheno better. I have pics on the fist week or so. These are nice looking and frosty azz hell. Nice ROCK em Hard n LOUD

Nice looking. Going to watch and see your grow. I received 2 different Phenotype of seeds and did not really catch it until bloom. 5 grew fast and tall with no nutes, the second 5 were slow and small. I got discouraged and did not give veg 100%. I took the scraggler and made it the Mommy Gelato when I bloomed and my starts are from that Phenotype. As the 10 budded you could really see the difference in buds, both are great. That grow was a total different setup, sooo, we shall see what I have. The Gelato cloned easy made 12 from a scraggly mommy and all made it. They will be for the out side crop. I have a really short bloom, it can freeze before Rocktober (October), so liking the short bloom.

Good luck on your grow! I was getting a bunch of yellow on my gelato leaves as well but I think mine were due to light burn. I’ll be sure to follow this grow!
