Our first attempt at germinating seeds 🤞🏼 We’re using a small ceramic cup of room temp water with a drop of Age Old Kelp. We’ve placed the cup in a dark warm place and covered the top with a piece of parchment paper. And now, we wait 12/20: Beans have cracked and tap root is showing on all three. They’ll be in soil by tomorrow or the next day. 12/21: Mixed and prepped the soil. Placed the beans in about 1/4” holes directly in their final pots. We amended organic potting soil already full of great things with some ebbet’s organic roses and flower, some local compost full of earthworms, earthworm castings, and clover seeds. We also moistened the soil with a mixture of water, age old kelp, fish shit, recharge, and a bit of elite 91’s myco Jordan. We dimmed the veg tent light down to 50%. 77° 60%rh ✌️🏼🌱

Well, I may have killed 2/3 beans. I definitely killed one and one is definitely doing well. The jury is still out on the third, but it’s not looking good. I’m sure that I went a little nuts and over watered. The one that broke dirt first was the one I planted closest to the surface (noted). This is the one that is doing well. the second one had just started to break through and I’m thinking that I gave it too much and it spent too much energy reaching the surface. it was the 2nd deepest placement. the third, and deepest, is still a no show. I’m guessing that I’ve planted too deep and that I’ve over watered as well. I’ll keep an eye out 🤞🏼 i figured I would do something like this along the way. I’ll germinate two more seeds and keep the soil going in the pots in the mean time. I did consider that it was a bit ambitious to plant the seed in the final pot rather than transfer after short time in a smaller container. Any thoughts on this? Does it make a big difference? bummer about the beans but this is how we learn. Pushing on

Ok, another week down. Our direct to soil has nodes and is looking super healthy. Our next bean is happy in the rock wool and praying. The next set of leaves are starting to develop. Very nice. The next bean is a little awkward. We’re wondering if we should prop it up or not. It’s sort of curled out of the rock wool opening and laying a little flat. We’re gonna give it a chance to stand up but if we don’t see any change by morning we’ll intervene. If you think we should now, let us know and how if you have recs. That’s it for now. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! 🌱🙏🏼✌️🏼

Transferred the rockwool twins to soil and both seem to be very happy. We hit both with ogbiowar nutes when we transferred. The struggling lil bean is showing signs of new growth. We’re feeling like we’ve turned the corner. The direct to soil is doing wonderfully. We topped it today and it has responded very well already. We’ll do a top dressing soon adding beneficial nematodes, sandy loam and worm castings. We also added a sweet basil companion plant. We hope that it enjoys its new home. Do any of you use companion plants for additional ipm? That’s not why we’ve added sweet basil bb but we’ve heard mixed thoughts on providing additional pest control. Let us know if you have any reliable information on this subject. That’s all for this week. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! ✌️🏼🌱🙏🏼

This was a busy week. We lost an additional seedling this week. Not surprisingly it was the runt that had all of the troubles. The other seedling was having a rough time but seems to be on track and has a very nice set of lush green leaves coming in. It’s moving slowly but in the right direction. The direct to soil is crushing. Still no sign of sex yet. It’s a sturdy little thing that I’ll top again soon. I’ll pop another two beans but maybe something else. Something that I’ll care less about killing. TBD We added beneficial nematodes at the beginning of the week and after about a day we’ve seen no sign of fungus gnats anywhere in the garden since. Hopefully there’s enough action in my soil to keep those guys around. I read both Total Living Organics this week and Teaming with Microbes. Both books have given me a new and fuller outlook on organic gardening. The pieces are starting to come together and make sense. Although I have a lot to learn these books are going to be excellent resources for the journey. I’m working towards building my own soil and recycling the soil that we use. The first step in that direction for us is composting. We made a bokashi setup this week. We’re using two black buckets and stacking them. The top bucket has holes in the bottom for drainage and a screw top lid to keep it air tight. Hopefully in about a month or two we’ll have some good looking, healthy, fertile compost that I can use for the next run. That’s the report for this week. ✌️🏼🌱

Popped another az. It germed and I placed it in a 1” pot within the 4 gallon. I also got it with some myco jordan. When I placed the 1” pot in the soil I noticed a worm cruising in the hole I had made. Sweet! The rockwool survivor is working hard and chugging along. It’s working on a new set of leaves and is healthy by all appearances. The direct to soil is still crushing. I did a second round of topping last night. I feel like this plant is going to be massive. I pray that it is female 🙏🏼 The basil is rocking some new growth. Very sick. Also, I was just walking along, minding my own business and then all of a sudden, yadda yadda yadda I ended up with a Gary Payton clone. That was about 3 nights ago. It’s looking good or at least not dead 🤣. I’ll put it in soil tomorrow. I should note that I barely watered this week and they are loving it. This soil is a whole different animal. I water way less now.

Busy life week this week. Kind of back to work and feeling out the new balance of things. Direct to soil is crushing still. She’s been topped twice and really filling in nicely/getting hella big/swol. The older growth is a very dark green. I’m loving what this might mean for adult coloration. The rockwool survivor is doing well and was topped for the first time yesterday. Fungus gnats got yet another seed. We popped another and it’s in some rockwool as of yesterday. Tap root looked healthy and it is far away from any fungus gnats. Fawk I ended up scoring some more clones. 4 to be exact. The one I had before may or may not make it. I asked my wife to put it in dirt while I was at work, which she did. That said, although it is now in dirt, she ripped it from the rockwool cube to put it there lololol. I’m leaving it for now and maaaaAaaaybe it’ll make it. We’ll see. That’s the scoop this week. Thanks for cruisin and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

A lot of new shoes today. All clones got put in dirt today. Mother got a new 5 gallon with some organic soil mix. The seedling also got a .5 gallon pot that we place inside the 4 gallon. The 1x1 pot that I had in there had 4 worms in it. 4 worms in a 1x1 cube of soil. Absolutely outstanding. Everything got hit with og BioWar nutrients, kelp meal, fish shit, and recharge. Oh I also inoculated some crop cover seed mix from build a soil and gave everyone a lil bit. Lookin good, feelin good. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

Solid week. Direct to soil is still doing well. It has a leaf with a yellow strip on it and I don’t think it’s a problem but rather a phenotype expression. I’ve seen leaves that split like this but never with such a bright yellow. Crazy. Rockwool survivor is doing well. It survived the top and is pushing new growth with the quickness. The new seedling is doing really well. No issues and is moving along at a nice pace. Everyone has excellent and incoming crop cover. I’m thinking that I’ll take clones from each plant and I’ll keep the winning pheno out of these three. I wasn’t planning on doing a hunt but I guess I hadn’t decided what I was going to do until now. So there. The clones don’t look great haha. I tried to go sans dome because I’ve decided to go no dome on seedlings. Buuuuut they need that humidity so I domed them up yesterday and I already see improvement. I also know that I haven’t seen this before but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. I’m placing the venom og cubes on the soil inside the pots the Gary Payton clones are set in. Seems like a fine use of space, a way to share moisture, keep the canopy more even, and ideally there is some biology exchange happening. I’m going to take some more clones this week. I’m looking to improve my aloe slurry, take better clones, and look for the healthiest ones to take to the next stage. I’ll pull anything that’s struggling. Venom OG mother is looking great since her transplant. After I thinned her out and took some clones, she’s bounced back and is pushing some really healthy looking new shoots. Aaaaaaaand, we started cooking up some TLO super soil mix 2.2. In addition to the recipe in the book we’ve also added a top layer of spent Brewer’s grain and laid a thin layer of bokashi grain below. As you can see we’re getting some nice fungal action just below that top later. We burried some bokashi after we mixed but before we dressed with the grain. We’re going to let these bins sit for 2 weeks and then start giving them a turn every couple of days. Ideally we’re using this soil for our next run. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising along and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

Cleaned up the veg tent. Mother Venom OG is flourishing. I’ll take cuttings this week. Direct to soil Apple Zauce is still crushing. I took a clone of the branch with the mutation. It was really happy the last few days. It’s looking a little down right now. Hopefully it bounces back tonight. I’ll take more clones of this plant this week and clean up the undergrowth. From now on I’ll refer to this plant as AZ1. I’ll tag it and the others this week. Rockwool survivor (AZ2) is slow growing but pushing along. I’ll do a second round of topping this week. The seedling (AZ3) is a seedling no more. I’ll top it this week for the first time. Looking good and growing at a healthy rate. The clones are going back and forth. I think the soil they are in is not draining fast enough. It’s staying too moist. I’ve taken them out of the dome. If they don’t make it, I’ll chalk it up to experience. Lessons learned: I put them in dirt a little too early. The soil needs better structure I think in the way of more perlite and or vermiculite. I also have improved my aloe slurry for cloning. I feel like this last clone I took has been really health up to today. I’ve also started dabbling in avocado tech. The mother and each 4 gallon pot each got half an avocado with some bokashi grain sprinkled in each. I’ve noticed some additional worm activity under each but not a ton. I’ll keep experimenting with this. I’ve also decided that I don’t care for these fabric pots. The sides dry out a little too easily. I won’t be using these in the tent after this and I’ll transfer these plants out the fabric pots before they move to flower. Also our soil is coming along nicely. We’ve turned it a few times and given it some EM in the form of bokashi juice (1/4 tsp/gallon) diluted in some water. The color and consistency are looking good. That’s the report this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

The veg tent is very happy and healthy. New clones (6 days old) are happy in their dome. I laid out some vermiculite and poured my cloning slurry along with a solution of water, fish shit, og BioWare nutes, and liquid kelp. No roots yet but they’re happy and I expect to see them soon. Basil plant is looking pretty good but I think it’s about time to repot as I imagine that it is rootbound by now. The remaining clone from the GP bunch is hanging in there. Looks like maybe she’ll stick around. AZ3 is crushing. Topped it this week and new growth is already coming in quickly. AZ2 received its second round of topping and has responded well. This plant is definitely a little different. The branching is significantly more lateral than the other two and it appears to grow at a slightly slower rate. Not so much that I’d chop it but noticeably different for sure. AZ1 is looking super foine! Tall and bushy with a hearty stalk and branching. I took the clones from AZ1 and she loved the clean up. I see new growth everyday on this plant. As soon as the clones root, I’ll be putting this baby in the flower tent along with the venom OG mom. They both look ready to flip. I may transfer to a 5 gallon bucket before I move it to the flower tent. If so, I’ll transfer within the next day or two. Venom OG mom is looking happy and healthy. I trimmed a bunch of extra lower/interior growth and added it all to the mulch layer and buried the barley straw and avocado half. Which, btw, the avocados are now empty shells 😋. They gone and that’s a good thing! I’ll flip her ASAP We added earthworms to our TLO soil mix today. They hopped right in. The cover crop is juuuuuuuuuuust barely starting to pop up. Looking forward to bringing them inside. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

AZ1 and Venom OG mom went to the flower tent and flipped last night. They both received a dawn/bronner’s cocktail ipm and I supercropped them both. AZ1 is a little shorter and has excellent structure. I’m hoping SHE stretches to meet the venom og mom. I’m almost 100% positive she is female as AZ2 is showing male traits and AZ1 looks nothing like AZ2 especially in those crucial nodal zones. AZ2 showed male traits. He definitely showed more lateral branching and had slower growth than the other two. Not a bummer. I don’t have room for him here and it’s too early to put him on the porch so I’m dropping him off at a buddy’s spot who just harvested and has an empty tent. We’ll put him into flower immediately and catch that pollen! AZ3 is showing solid growth. She may get topped again this week or perhaps next. Also a transfer from her smaller pot to the 4 gallon in pending. She’s not there yet but soon. The clones are looking ok. Still working on my organic technique. They’re not dead but they are a little stressed. We’ll get there. We also moved a soil bin in today. Very exciting. We’ll be transplanting the surviving clones to the bed this week via smaller containers. Chugging right along. That’s the report this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

Weeeeellll, AZ1 was looking great until it wasn’t. Turns out she was a he. AZ1 culled. AZ3 still in veg and doing well. Still have not topped yet. Will top when the time is right and be transferred to the hdx bin, again, when the time is right. Venom OG mom is doing well. It’s funny that here we are on an AZ grow and yet again the VOG is playing a starring role 🤷‍♂️🏻 😂😅 The clones all came from AZ1 so I trashed them. Both soil bins are looking great. I moved one into the bloom room to acclimate. There was plenty of room in there even before AZ1 vacated. We also buried our next round of bokashi in another 27 gallon hdx bin. That will sit Covered and in disturbed for two weeks or more. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

Venom OG mom is crushing along. I lowered the lights and will defoliate tonight as well as add flowering stage avocado tech. I’ll be mixing crisped banana peel, pumpkin seed, avocado, bokashi grain. Hopefully that gets us through flowering. AZ2 is living in the back porch. I had a buddy hold on to him for two weeks. Weather is nice enough now and I aim to get some pollen from this lil fella. AZ3 responded well to being topped for the 2nd time. There’s a lot of nice new growth coming in. I’ve had to beat back the crop cover a few times. This pot is very healthy. I also germed my last 3 AZ beans. They all germed successfully and placed them in root riot rooting cubes. This is how I used to do it and it works well. All three are doing well and I even transferred AZ4 to soil last night. I’ll likely transfer AZ5, 6 later this week. The Basil is crushing since I transferred. I trimmed a bunch and added to the mulch layer. Smells super nice in there. I’m still struggling with fungus gnats and now I’m seeing flies. I’ll continue with my ipm, deep clean both tents this week. I might need to get more aggressive if this keeps up. I’ll also watch my watering. I may be overdoing it. I should really get a meter. Speaking of watering, just water this week. No additional amendments or bio-stimulants.

Yo yo yo! Ok so this week we have a few things. First, Venom OG mom is cruising along. I feel like she should have stacked a little better early on in flower but she’s catching up. I had some of the lower fan leaves start to yellow. I gave them the chop and cleared out any undesirable or damaged looking fan leaves. I’ve been watering about once every 2-3days. Last week around this time she got some recharge, fish shit, OG BioWars Nutes, liquid kelp, and I lightly top dressed with kelp meal. I also used avocado including the pot, strawberries, cranberries, sugar, bokashi grain, crisped banana peel and banana in my avocado tech. The mulch layer looks healthy and the plant over all looks good. AZ3 has sort of stalled out it seams. It looks healthy enough although there is some funky curling on some of the new growth. I haven’t done anything unusual or different with it so I’ll just keep my eye on it for now. AZ4 looks great. It’s growing with speed and vigor. I’ll top it this week. AZ5 is also growing quickly. It’s a stout little thing with tight spacing. I like a plant that grows like this. AZ6 is looking good as well. It’s a little slower but overall looking healthy. The reveg got cleaned up and topped this week. The new growth is coming in hot. Basil was a little thirsty this eve but she’ll pop right back. That’s the report this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing! ✌️🏼🌱

Venom OG mom is getting super frosty. She’s the best I’ve seen out of this plant so far and the aroma is stronger earlier. She’s gassy. I’m looking forward to seeing her stack over the next 3+ few weeks. We’re on day 38 and I will take her 60+. The cure from the last run is excellent and gassy and purple and I took them 58 days without any sort of calculated soil mix. I’m looking forward to seeing how she finishes with a little more TLC. AZ2 is growing balls on the back porch. He’s looking good. AZ3 was transferred to the four gallon from its .5 gallon. So far so good. It was root bound and easy to transfer. I’m looking forward to seeing it respond to the bigger shoes. I’ll put it into flower right after the venom og mom finishes. There were many worms in the soil just at a glance. The crop cover is also very healthy. This pot appears to be in good form. AZ4 is a beautiful plant with gigantic broad leaves. It was topped this week and is simply teeming with new growth. This new soil mix appears to be absolutely killer. Every plant in this bed is flourishing. AZ5 got topped - achem - or rathe fimmed - woops. One side isn’t coming in after the top. It’ll be ok. I still love the way this plant is growing: low and wide. AZ6 continues to plug along. It’s a slow poke. We’ll see . . . The reveg continues to get better and better. Very aggressive growth this week. I’m very happy with the progress here and she’ll go in with AZ3 to flower in about a month. The basil is crushing. Very happy. All of the plants smell great. I’m really looking forward to flowering a female Apple Zauce plant. Every one so far has either been culled or male or died from improper care/inexperience. In retrospect, growing an exotic as I’m getting my feet wet was a bit ambitious. I knew and I did it anyways. It’s been tough and the grind will continue. Pests seem to be under control. Rawk and Roll. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼 That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruisin and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

We went out of town for most of this week. Almost all the plants were ok with that. Venom OG mom is looking great. She’s putting on more weight and continuing to trich stack. Two weeks or more left. I anticipate chopping on 5/9 but I’ll take her longer if I think she needs it. She got a little recharge, fish shit, and mostly just water this week. AZ2 is looking awesome on the back porch. Lots of flower sites developing. I’m looking forward to collecting some of that sweet dust. AZ3 is, what can I say, a frickin bummer man. I had my brother in law come in and water for me while I was gone. He watered everything except for this plant. I may not get it back. It looks pretty fucking terrible. AZ4, 5, 6 look amazing and are vegging fast. They and the reveg will all flower in about 3 weeks to a month. I’ll take clones from all. One is tall and fast (4), one is short with tight intervals and is also growing quickly, just different (5), and the last was growing more slowly but has now kicked it into gear (6). The reveg has continued to show quick and robust growth. She’s looking great. Nothing but water in the veg tent. The basil is, as always, crushing. We buried another bokashi bucket this week (3rd round). I deep cleaned the bucket and started a new round. Our reserve soil is looking very rich at this point. That’s the report for this week. Ok! This was a good week. VOG is one week out. Branches are getting heavy so I tied it up for additional support. She continues to put on more weight and the trichomes are stackin. Very nice. We chop a week from today. I did notice what appears to be spider mite larvae on some of the fan leaves which of course is a bummer because I thought I was over this hump. The good news is that they just showed up and I’m only a week out and I should be able to manage it through harvest. The bummer of course being that they are back. Time for another deep clean/aggressive ipm. I’m also going to plant some marigold. AZ2 is dropping pollen. I cut a couple branches and sifted some pollen from each into plastic food containers and popped them in the freezer with a tight lid. Save that jizz for later. AZ3 who I thought was a goner, is coming back. These plants never cease to amaze. AZ4, 5, 6, and the reveg are all looking super healthy in the veg bin. The residue on the leaves is from this week’s IPM which was wettable sulfer which is specific for mites. There’s no evidence of mites being in the veg tent but I’m not feeling like taking any chances as these are all going into bloom in less than a month and they need to be as healthy as possible. I mixed one tsp in a 1/2 gallon of water and sprayed liberally. That was on Thursday. Everything is looking healthy. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing! ✌️🏼🌱

Like I said, great strain. I’ll cherish these last few ounces of headies. I’m going to keep this log going as I set out to flower some Apple Zauce and the fuck if I’m not going to complete what I set out to do. AZ 2 was culled and mulched. I got 3 pollen samples from it. I’m looking forward to chucking a lil pollen when the time is right. AZ3 is recovering well from almost being trashed. Even so, I may be waiting to put it into flower. I’ll decide this week it’s right on the line of being healthy enough to flip. Either way it has a week or two before that happens. AZ4, 5, 6 and the reveg are all super healthy and getting nice and tall. They’re all competing for canopy space and it’s a lovely sight. They are all still in .5 gallon veg cups and I will be transferring them all directly into both hdx bins with the rev’s soil mix this week or next. I’ll give them a week or two after that and then flip. I’ll also label each and grab cuttings before I flip. I also got a pack of fast bud gorilla cookies autos that I’ll be popping and keeping in the veg tent after this batch heads into flower. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruisin and happy growing! 🌱✌️🏼

Busy couple of weeks but things are still moving over here. Transferred everything from veg to flower. Everyone got a little stressed as I let them veg for longer than I should have in the smaller containers. Some good new is that there are many worms in the soil and all of the ladies bounced back quickly. All of the AZ plants are looking good for now although I am still battling mites. I’ve been rotating foliar sprays and will do a round of wettable sulfur this week on Wednesday (2 tbsp/gallon). Last week I used Bronner’s, the week previous neem oil, the week previous Dawn - all two applications/week. I had also applied DE the week before that. Things look to be under control but I’m not going to let up while this batch is still in veg. I also deep cleaned both tents and have left the veg tent vacant now for almost two weeks. I’ll get some babies going in there soon and I’ll be super careful about cross contaminating. I also Took a KNF class and have started fermenting a full spectrum bloom fertilizer (a number of fruits, veggies, peppers, and brown sugar) that I’ll be pairing with humic and amino acids. I’ll also be making some WSC using oyster shell powder and brown rice vinegar. I’ll also be making a Fish Amino Acid after I finish fermenting my bloom formula. I’ll detail my ratios as I go but I will be starting at 1/16 tsp humic/gal/wk, 1/4 tsp Aminos, 5ml FAA (every two weeks) and then in flower 1/4 tbsp WSC and 1.5ml of the full spectrum bloom mix. I think that this is going to get me moving in a good direction. I’m building/mixing my own compost/soil, and now making my own inputs. I have a clear schedule and enough new info to make some serious improvements. I’m still cooking a bokashi bucket that I’ve let go longer this time around. I’m giving it another week before I bury it. The reason is because I’ve been finding that some of the larger chunks need a little more properly break down and I’ve been finding some whole pieces of things in the soil. Not a serious issue but I live in an urban area and I def do no want to attract critters and I feel like whole chunks of things in cooking soil could attract some critters. THere’s a snap of some cured Venom OG from my most recent run. The buds could have been larger and some might say that I could be a little more aggressive with my trim. These little guys are greasy, smelly, and stoney.

AZ4, 5 have really stacked this week. Very tight nodal spacing and nice fat fan leaves. Half of AZ 6 is the same and the other half still hasn’t fully recovered from the stress of transplanting late. The new growth is looking vigorous but it really took a hit transplanting so late. I got tripped up on timing the last run and hoped for the best but it’s pretty evident that I needed to get them into larger containers earlier or perhaps even just left them in the large container together. I get the feeling things would’ve gotten a little crowded had I left them. AZ3 also never fully recovered from almost drying out so I transplanted into the garden and I topped it in a number of locations. I’m going to keep vegging for a bit longer so I figured I’ll mess around with this little funky guy and see if something good comes of it. I did use wettable sulfer twice last week hence the white residue. I’m not seeing any evidence of mites. I’ll keep a rotation going until they flip. This week is bronner’s. I started a new program of using humic90 along side Soy Bean Amino. This is the 2nd week and things seem to be going well. I’m using 1/8tsp/gal of humic and 3/4 tbsp/gal of SAA. I’ll continue this throughout flower. On day 1 of the flip I’ll start using my bloom fermentation. Stay tuned. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱

AZ plants continue to veg. #4 and #5 are very healthy and growing with great vigor. #3 responded well to the topping and is showing signs of improvement. #6 is looking pretty good although I basically lost half the plant on the transfer. I really want to flip today but they’re just not there yet. Perhaps another week. They're not in danger of being too tall yet and I want the canopy to fill out a little more before it’s time. Trellis was added this week. Nylon this time. Pinch and tuck. I gave them a little more than a gallon of water +3/4 tbsp Soyamino, 1/4 tsp humic 90, 6ml fish shit, 3ml liquid em (bokashi liquid runoff) on Friday. They also received a foliar of 1L water mixed with 1/2 tsp of Bronner’s for IPM twice this week. This next week will be neem oil. I apply the foliar five to ten minutes before lights out. Both tents were vacuumed and cleaned this week. I also reorganized and tidied the outside of my grow space which feels fucking incredible. Everything has a place and is easy to access. I love a clean and well organized work space. The full spectrum bloom fermentation liquid was separated from the pulp this week as well. I’m storing it in a fermentation bucket with an s type airlock in the lid. I’m looking forward to using it. There is about 2-3 gallons of liquid that will be used at weekly intervals when flowering at a rate of 5-8ml per application. Might as well take its shoes and jacket off, it’s gonna be around for a while. The pulp from the ferment was added to the bokashi bucket and filled it to the brim. I made sure the layer in bokashi grain as the bucket reached capacity. I’m so stoked on this because all of this pulp has already been fermenting and is already teeming with bio available fertilizer. I think this will be an excellent round of bokashi. I’ll bury this bucket in about two weeks and it’ll contribute to some killer soil. Even though there is still a lot of road ahead of us, I feel like we’re finally getting somewhere; the pieces are starting to come together 💫. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing! ✌️🏼🌱

AZ 3-6 continue to veg. I topped 4, 5, 6 a week ago on Wednesday and took cuttings as well. The new growth looks super healthy and waxy. I’ll veg them ngil the canopy fills out. Maybe one more week, possibly two. I also used og biowar foliar last Monday followed by neem oil on Wednesday and and Friday. I’ll do og biowar foliar tomorrow (I would’ve done today but I ran out of time) and I’ll use aloe and bronner’s this week. I’m feeding the soil SAA, humic90, fish shit on saturdays. I’m mixing a solution that comes out to be a little more than a gallon for both bins. I lightly water every couple days early in the light cycle to help keep the mulch layer moist. I apply foliar a just before lights out and I do my Saturday watering just before lights out. I also started a PFE this week. Brown sugar, bruised/massaged cannabis trimmings, and 50lbs of pressure. I’ll jar it after 15 days which will be this upcoming Saturday (perfect timing for Saturday’s feeding). We also buried The 5 gallon bokashi bucket in our 27 gallon hdx. We pulled about half of the existing soil and I have to say that it’s incredible how quickly bokashi composting turns food waste into compost. The previous batch had completely decomposed and is ready to be used. The veg tent is doing well. All but one of the Mac 1 clones I was gifted have survived and are putting on new growth rapidly. I gave away all of my AZ4 and 5 cuttings to friends and neighbors. I have 12 more from when I topped. As of tonight, two of those have rooted any I’ll transplant them tomorrow before lights out along with any others that show roots before then. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing! 🌱✌️🏼

This was a shitty week. I believe that I over applied neem oil in my efforts to thwart any pests before I flip. I applied as I normally do right before lights out. I had applied a few days prior. Over the course of the next two days many indications of leaf burn appeared. I also applied to my some of my vegging plants and the ones I did not spray showed no burn. AZ3 had to be culled and I’m pretty sure I picked the perfect time to completely fuck up my autos. Frustrating but memorable. I will persist in the end. Soooooo I’m popping another gorilla cookies auto and a twenty twenty Glue sniffer auto freebie. I’ve been clearing burned leaves and cutting burned tips getting ready for flip in the bloom tent. They’re turning around quickly but this just feels like the longest veg I’ve ever had. I’ve continued the soy bean amino and humic90 and didn’t use fish shit this week but did use og biowar nutes with the others. I’ve also been applying og biowar with a small amount of liquid kelp as a foliar to all plants at about 5-6 day intervals. I shut off the fans for two hours and let it get nice n humid for a bit. They are responding well to this.

Flipped AZ4-6 this last Saturday. Gave them all 1/4 tsp soy bean amino, 1/16tsp humic 90, 3ml bloom ferment, 3ml FPE all mixed together in 1 gal. They were also given a foliar of liquid kelp and og biowar foliar on Wednesday right before sunset. Killed the fans for 2 hrs. They seem to be happy and healthy for now. That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing

Flower tent is doing well. I had to cull AZ6 as it was male. I added it to the mulch layer. RIP my guy. AZ4 any 5 are filling out the canopy nicely. AZ4 is stretching and has a few shoots that are reaching out of the canopy. I may use stakes for the few rather than putting up whole new layer of trellis to support the taller branches. Or perhaps I use tie lines and support from above. Something to think about. AZ5 is definitely the shorter bushier type. The nodes are tightly packed and she’s very squatty. I’m looking forward to seeing the differences between these two phenos. I’m still seeing a touch of burn on both plants. It’s nothing like before and what I’m seeing may be a residual effect. No matter, I’m going to proceed cautiously with their feeding. This week (sat) I’ll be doing slightly less than the usual 1/4 TBSP of Soybean amino, 1/16 tsp humic90, and 5ml of the bloom ferment. I’ll also be adding langbeinite and water soluble calcium. Both plants received a foliar on Wednesday before sunset. The foliar was og biowar foliar with liquid kelp. That may be the last foliar application of this cycle. I started to see some pistils on AZ4 today. That’s the report for this week my guys ✌️🏼🌱

You know, it’s funny. I used to grow soil with salts, hydro with salts, bubble buckets with salts, outdoor with salts; all very well. I consider myself to be someone who can and does grow things well. I’ve had success with tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, lemon, lettuce, apples, kale, artichoke, chives, green onions, garlic, potatoes, cannabis, and more. Growing high grade indoor organic cannabis in living soil with only organic cannabis inputs is not a thing that I’ve had success with. And it’s driving me fucking nuts. I’ve tried to stay positive. I’ve looked at the bright side, I’ve pushed on and the reality is this grow looks like shit. It’s looked like shit one way or another most of the time. I’m trying to figure out what is going on. My fist run in this same environment with less stuff overall I produced a fair amount (just under 1/2lb in a 2x4 with an Amazon LED) of high quality dense herb. I also had a bunch of trim and larf to cook with and make some bubble hash. I used a couple of bags of soil king and a basic GH nute regiment. I thought to myself, I should go organic. Make this herb healthy: of the earth. I should try to grow the finest goddamn organic clean frosty as a motherfucker stinky sticky white ash producing herb. I thought, I’ve done this a bunch a long time ago. I just had a good run the old way. Success is on my side Let’s change it up. Let’s do it a different way. It’s day 27. Almost 4 weeks complete. Saturday is day one of week 5. These plants are burnt, underdeveloped, look like trash, have zero nose, and no frost to speak of. These are allegedly 65 day plants so we’re getting close to the half way point. There’s a bunch of lower burned leaves especially on AZ5. I’m trying to figure out what the fuck is going on. Soil: I have a nice healthy soil mix from what I believe but I don’t really know because it’s never been tested. Soil test is now on the To Do List. I mixed The Rev’s recipe from True Living Organics in these bins. I let them sit for over two months before I planted anything in them. When I did, everything seemed to do really well. But, one issue I’m certain of is that it is too hot for nute regimen. Pests: I had pests to deal with but that was expected. And I believe I have eradicated my pest problem. I stick to my rotating ipm, stopped over watering, and I keep the areas clean. IPM Anecdote: I finally did figure out how the neem oil burned the plants so badly a while back. I had used sulfer and neem too close together in time. There was still sulfur residue on the plants. When I applied the neem they got fried. Mystery solved lesson learned: Don’t mix sulfer and oils as foliars. Environment: My environment is good I think. Flower tent RH is always around 50-55%. I have an inkbird humidity control unit with a humidifier on one end and a dehumidifier on the other. I check it often and it stays pretty consistent. Lights on temps top out at about 88. Lights out temp bottoms out at about 70-72 but only when I spray the plants before lights out. Otherwise it sits at about 76-78 sometimes a touch lower. There are three fans blowing in conflicting directions and heights creating a nice breeze throughout. I have a 6” infinity fan that usually sits running at level 2-4 (enough to create a touch of tension inward on the tent walls). My intake is passive. I have two 4” ducts, one on each short end of the tent. One has a hepa filter on the end and the other has a nylon duct filter. We have some air coming from outside passively through a few spots and this room receives circulating air from the rest of the house, passively as well. We could use some more fresh air in this room but I don’t think that our issues lie here either. Light: The light is a Mars hydro sp3000. It’s a goofball light company but the ppfd checks out. Plus I had a good run with it. I don’t think that’s necessarily the issue. A better light wouldn’t hurt but it’s not causing my woes at the moment. Nutrients!: This is definitely where my issues lie at the moment. I took a KNF farming class for cannabis that I found through one of my local dispensaries. It was great except now my plants are frying. I love what I learned and I know it works because I talked to a lot of other people that use these methods and they work well for them. In addition I’m on a discord and can ask questions there as well (multi pronged approach - smart with the right operator 😂). I’m assuming my soil is too hot for this method mainly because they told me to use neutral soil, which my soil is not 🤣😂🤣 (like I said, smart). That said, I was hoping to not waste months of work and use this great mix and cut the values down a bunch and still end up on top. Last week I slowed the amount of humic to 1/32 tsp, bloom to 4ml/gal, soy amino to 1/2 tsp/gal, 1/2 tbsp of langbeinite/gal. I diluted all of that to a bit more by topping off my spray container. It still seems to be too hot. Which fucking sucks because I worked super hard on this beautiful soil and I spent a fair amount of time learning this wonderful method and they don’t seem to work together at all. The Rev’s mix is rad but will only produce mids without teas, additional amendments, and a bunch of fussing that is actually less work than I’m doing now but way more than I want to be doing later. I’m starting to consider cutting my losses and stripping everything out and starting fresh with neutral soil so that I can put the KNF practices in place but really I’m only 4-5 weeks out. I might as well finish this bunch and learn a few more things along the way. I’m going to be using only water this week. I’ll go back the nutes again the following week and cut the mix again. Hopefully I’ll get something out of it. 🤷‍♂️🏻 My veg tent has some mac1 clones that are looking great. The autos are looking great. My umami clones look like shit and are all mostly dying. Same treatment, same soil mix, same lights, same ipm, same cycle, same everything. This appears to be a difficult plant for me 🤣🤷‍♂️🏻🎯🥓 Maybe it’s time to move on from these exotics. We’ll see, tomorrow’s another day.
