Really excited to see the two seedlings just starting to finally take off! #1 had been languishing. About 4 days in, and seedling #1 is really taking off! Been careful about water ph, and maintaining humidity of 60% in the tent. Daytime temps seem to stay low 70’s but I don’t know what it dips down to at night without the light. Can’t turn on my exhaust fan without lowering humidity too much - hopefully by the time the plants are big enough to need it, they’ll be okay with lower humidity. I keep wondering how much this will actually give me; how big will they get? Will #1 end up a normal sized plant after being stunted a month??

Seedlings did well, but at the end of the week suddenly saw roots coming out the bottom of the pot, so both are now happily in 3gal fabric grow bags.

The emergency repot of Seedling #1 went really well and today she looks much happier. Watering in a ring around the outside perimeter of the leaves, to promote root growth and make sure they don’t get too wet, although I stick my finger in to test before any watering. Seedling #1 is a month older than #2, and they’re the same size! The younger seedling is growing super fast - I hope they’re both female

Ordered 5 gallon Week #4 and I’ve begun fimming bud sites and I’ve tied down some branches of seedling #1 gently to try some lst. They both look pretty scraggly and chopped now, but I’m hoping these next 6 weeks they’ll flush out with lots of new colas. Watering only when the dirt feels dry full finger-deep. Having a hard time keeping humidity up inside the tent, because our basement is a ridiculously low rh.

Lots of growth finally happening and very pleased that both plants have 8 colas each! If possible I want to double that, but I don’t know if that’s realistic for 6 weeks. Both have thick stems and are well established in their super soil and perlite 3 gal pots

Growth slowed down this week - probably from the hard defoliation and some unsuccessful lst. Now I’m trying some hst with the same plant - I want those branches brought out! I don’t like the upright growth habit as much as the other sprawler.

Really a challenge trying to find just the right pressure for HST training but I’d really love to control the canopy without physically tying branches down

Really debating adding molasses to the water but I need another water container since I can’t gunk up my humidifier with it. Did lots of reading on the benefits of feeding the soil with it, and put some mycorrhizae inoculant on my list. Added 1tbsp unsulphured blackstrap molasses to a gallon container of water. Hopefully this doesn’t throw the ph off.

Only 3 more weeks to flip, and I’m only defoliating to uncover any bud sites. Really training the older plant, because it’s looking like really good leaves but only 8-10 flowering sites

First day of switching into flower! All tied down, looking fairly healthy and ready to go. I hope they’re girls!!! 2nd day - I keep looking for signs of male or female but I know it’s too early. Since I defoliated and tied them down yesterday they seem to be on pause - maybe waiting to see if the light goes back to the old veg schedule. Nope! 2/16 - tomorrow will be week 1 finished of 12/12 and it’s already been a lot of adjustments to get humidity and light (still adjusting height) temps, a big enough drop at night, and airflow just right. I’m really looking forward to seeing if they’re female! Ugh I hope so

Kind of sad no big “stretch” is starting yet...just lots of leaves coming in. I gave them a good ph’d watering today, so maybe that will speed them up

No real changes but they’ve been on 12/12 for a week. Lots of leaves coming in, and the branches seem a little bit more....bendable(?) so I’m beginning some HST - I want to see what I can do without a net! Update! 2/20: we may have lady-hairs spotted on the older plant! Nothing yet on the suspected male... Update! 2/21: suspected male has white hairs! Possibly female??? Update: 2/25: both definitely ladies - these were bagseed, so I got lucky!!! Whew!

They’re finally really taking off and I’m so proud. But also I’m trying some lst & defoliation of a few smaller leaves each day, to expose as many bud sites to the light as possible. 3/1 - 18F (2.5w) getting frostier and I think growth is slowing down a little- these will be short and bushy, and I’m pretty fine with that. Ordered bone meal for extra phosphorus which I plan to use as a nutrient top-dress, and for amending depleted super soil

Finally seeing how flowers develop for the first time. I love how alien and hairy they look. Really looking forward to seeing how they fatten up! Began using a low dose of Flower Fuel during watering, to add phosphorus and have also watered with boiled banana peel water for potassium, however I since learned that’s not needed as much till the end of flower. Keeping humidity at 50 or below, and they still seem happy.

Week Both plants are super frosty and looking healthy. Since growth has stopped, each day the buds are slightly bigger but they’re definitely not as big as those good dispensary buds. Only 4.5 weeks into flowering so we’ll see what happens by 4/20. This flowering period is hard - and not because there’s a ton to do, either. It’s just weeks and weeks of “yup, buds are just a tiny bit bigger/frostier” but no real changes to the plant. I’m really glad I have the active part of training the next 4 seedlings through vegetative, during this mostly-stable and boring flower stage.

Really getting dank down here, it’s barely kept in check with my 4” in-line fan through charcoal filter. Plants never made it to over 12”, but they’re flowering beautifully and are suuuper frosty and fragrant. I don’t think I’ll have much in the way of quantity my first grow, but maybe I’ll make up for it with QUALITY. Lol

Feels like it’s taking forever and the smell is so strong! Good and sweet - fruity, but strong. No more Flower Fuel - just water and molasses Okay - tester bud time... decided to take one now, and continue to slowly trim flowers off at peak ripeness over a few weeks.
