Germination

Welcome to the germination of my second grow! All input is appreciated! Seed germinated in 1 day using the glass of water method, didn't even make it to the paper towel, and transferred to the rockwool cube. Moved from the humidity dome to the net pot today (Jan 30th).

This is my 2nd grow. Any input is appreciated! Moved to the tent today (Jan 30th). Due to the small tent with a low ceiling, I intend to do some LST to keep the plant as low as possible. Hot week here, I'm glad I got the water chiller up and running now.

I decided not to push past 0.9ec since it was only 0.5ec last week, but it seems low on food yet (0.3tsp/gl Maxigro , 2tsp for the whole 6 gallon res). 12/Feb: I got some issues now that I'm not sure it is calcium deficiency. I can only change the res tomorrow.

The calcium deficiency which started last week made me bump Calimagic to 5ml/gal. It seems to have stopped progressing now. Next time, I'll make sure to start earlier to prevent this. Let's see, I'm not absolutely confident that this is exclusively a calcium def or something else. I've been reading other COB led growers comments and it seems that these kind of leds do require more calcium and magnesium than with other kinds of lights - maybe there is an issue with the spectrum of such lights. Since this is only my 2nd grow and I've never had any other lights, it's been difficult to know this for sure. Let's see what happens next, but I hope the extra calmag will be enough to sort this issue.

Keeping the food the same for now, letting her recover. Some yellow tips, so I'm pushing the light a little more distant too, since I'm not sure it's a slight nute burn or light stress. The COB's are at 75% currently at 85cm height.

Another week. Growth is still stunted, not sure if from the calcium deficiency from the previous weeks.

1st week 12/12, current feed 2.1EC (of which about 1.0EC is calmag - 5ml/gal). PH is always between 5.8-6.1, tent temp 25-27c, res temp 19-21c. Lights: COB 200w at 100% 75cm from canopy. More details in diary. Been spotting these dying leaves. What kind of deficiency could it be?

Thanks Bulbi for the reply. The roots look clean though, white and no smell. Could it still be root rot?

Hi there , looks like root problems causing micronutrient deficiency . You probably want to clean your reservoir maybe even clip the problem roots if you can tell which ones it is . Or you add something like hydroguard to add beneficial bacteria to the reservoir and try and prevent the problem from happening again . Hope this helps ! 🚀
